Yikes, why haven't they cleared the roads?????

The State apparently "doesn't have the money" to clear and salt the roads. This is funny to me as they've hardly ever cleared them in years past! I guess they just wanted it to be official!

Jess had to have a shot today, it's to protect against Cervical Cancer and her year group are the first to be given it. Anway I definitely now know that she is my DD as when she was walking out of the nurses room she fainted on the floor Bless her

OMG, Poor Jess. I feel her pain. I usually start visits with needles with: "Hi. Do I look heavy? Yeah? Well, put me in a prone position before you stick me then...."

Is sad when you start looking for SOMETHING they can cut on just to get "Time Off"

It's mandatory???? That's ridiculous!!! I don't think of it like you said. Just because she has the jab doesn't mean she'll have unprotected sex, because really the last thing on her mind will be that she's protected against cervical cancer, it'll be more that she'll get pregnant or get an STD. But I suppose that that's up to us to instill in them that they need protection at all times, I hate that in only a few years she might be thinking of doing stuff with boys but then I did admittedly only with David

I completely agree. I don't have girls, as you know, but if I did I would have them vaccinated. I don't think that any preventetive type med is a license to do the trampolining. As the mother of an almost 16 yr. old I can tell you that it's all they think about, but an injection would not matter.... You either teach them and they soak it up or NOT.

Hi Mo!!!! I was so excited to see that game yesterday!!! Can I just say that I'm a Jets fan now (at least until the Colts play them)! Looks like they've got a pretty easy schedule to finish out the year as well.

Wow, Katt. I know that Indiana fought against it being mandatory. And even if it was, you could get around it pretty easily. And on top of that, it's really expensive as well. Unless the state is willing to pay for it for everyone, I would think you could argue that you can't afford it!

I've got quite a few years before having to make that decision, but I think I agree with Dawn. At this point, unless something changes, I think my girls will not be getting it.

So both girls went back to school today, but DD4 is sick again. She's got a really running nose and was running a bit of a fever at school. I went in to help at their Thanksgiving party and she was very lethargic. She hasn't fallen asleep since we've been home, but she just doesn't quite have as much energy as usual. I hope she can get some extra sleep tonight.

It's nasty and raining here. Supposed to turn to snow later, but I'm hoping it doesn't stick. I don't mind a bit of snow, but not in November!

For Thanksgiving, I'm hosting both my in-laws and my parents this year. There will be 8 of us, so not too bad. I've got all my stuff already, but need to start cleaning tomorrow.

My DGDs had that shot I think but I thiught it was just for cervical cancer, interesting that they omitted the part about STDs !!
Kyle appears to be fine, we really think he didn't swallow it but he definately thinks he did !! Thanks for all your well wishes !! Jo I loved Ellie's answer math questions are so dumb , of course you need to stop and buy a ticket maybe buy some coffee or spend a penny !! All of that needs to be factored in!!
