So, fun night here! Made spaghetti, sauce, italian sausage for dinner. Got Gus in bed at 8:30 pm (yay, on time!) and he woke up and HURLED everywhere at 9:30 pm. UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
Poor guy. I feel really bad for him. He did finally get to sleep about 11. I am assuming he will NOT be going to school today. I am supposed to meet a friend for lunch a mile from here, so I will probably do that (he's 11, he can be home for an hour...) and then I have to pick up SD and get him to the dentist.

Poor guy!

I haven't heard from Bob at all since Saturday night (which was sunday am for him) I know he flew to Korea but that's it. Must not have internet access at the hotel, though I can't BELIEVE that nowadays!!!!????

When does he go to a new location? Does his cell work there?

I am going to update my TR today. I know, I know. Don't all fall down from shock.

I know we said we'd wait, but it's driving me nuts not mail my stuff. It's looking at me. I think I'm going to mail my cards at least on Monday. I may just mail everything so I can make sure it gets done. I have to mail a package to Michigan for my cousins, so I have to do that sooner than later.

We don't have much today. School and a friend sleeping over since we have a super early field trip in the morning. We're going to see the Nutcracker ballet (a shortened version for the kids) and have lunch with a friend for her birthday.

Be good and talk a bunch today so I have something to read!

Don't worry, Katt. I won't be posting any train pics. I've got enough in my basement for everyone! In fact, the only thing DH has mentioned wanting for Christmas is a book about making multi-deck layouts!

My Sympathies If our two families.. ever hooked up.. our little Boys
would have a ball playing trains... Sara would take care of your girls and be the big sis... and we... Well We would find SOMETHING to do

Ornament and Cards = I haven't even bought my ornament yet. Gues I shold do that, huh? I actually have it on my to do list, but I am skeered to go to the mall at lunch time As for the cards, I am no further than I was on Sunday...still at the G's

Last night I was still feeling yucky, so as soon as Jimmy was in bed I went to bed. I think I was asleep by 8:30. Slept until 6:30 this morning and I feel much better

Yep. D (and obviously his brother, too) grew up in the northern suburbs and BIL and his fiance live in the city now. We are back all the time for family and weddings.

Well, my cousin's wife had her double mastectomy yesterday. I got a text from my cousin at 7:00pm and she had just gotten into a room, so I didn't drive downtown to visit her. She's at the University hospital where Kristel's DH is getting treatment. Everything went as planned and she's doing fine. Just dealing with pain now.

I'm glad the surgery itself went well.

Other than working out this afternoon, it's going to be a lazy day at home for me!

You guys are too organized. I haven't got the ornament, don't have a picture (or a plan) for the cards yet at all. Sigh. I have been doing the picture cards, but am starting to hate that it's hard to write extra on them, so I was going to do either regular cards and stick in prints or buy the frame-type cards. But I haven't decided, we haven't taken the picture, let alone ordered them, I haven't even printed up my labels, which I usually get done early. (I hand sign the cards, please don't judge me for using labels... )

Bob called! Finally!

He's ok. He has a bad cold, he said Korea (where he is anyway) is FILTHY! The diritiest place he's EVER seen in fact. SO, that's not cool. He said that the food is pretty terrible and the neon is WAY WAY overdone. LOL.
He visited the DMZ between N and S Korea though. He saw alot of guards with machine guns and they take your passport when you get there, and then give it back later. Skeery! He's off to some other part of Korea the day after tomorrow (which is tomorrow night for us) and then back to Japan. He's flying home on Saturday!!!! Yay!!!!!

Ok, I have to go find my notes, upload some pics and get that TR update done. It's only been two months............

You know what? I think you just sold me on the Blackberry Pearl. The Storm got terrible reviews and I tried using Andy's touch keyboard and it drove me bonkers. And the internet feature? Grrrr!!! It's waaaaay too slow for me.

Yeah touchscreens are not for me, I've tried using the i-phone and I look like a complete idiot trying to use it. You like the Pearl because it's smaller? I really like my Curve. I was waiting for the Bold to come out, but it kept getting delayed and I ended up getting the Curve. I would exchange it in a heartbeat for the Bold though. It has 3G internet (faster!).

Hmmm... guess you had to be there. Oh and be drunk, too.

Guess so. But I really do love Chevy Chase.

All I remember when we went to Puerto Rico in high school, no I didn't see Menudo although I was looking , is how dirty it was. Of course that was ages ago and may be much nicer now.

I`m getting a little nervous here with everyone all ready to send out their cards and ornaments and Secret Santas! I went out yesterday with the main intention of getting my ornament and secret santa gift. I did get my cards. they are really neat! But I was overwhelmed in the stores with the other 2 things. theres too much too look at at buy! I work well under pressure. I`ll get out tomorrow again. I have lots of ideas floating through my head, its just making those ideas stick thats a problem!

Heres my issue right now. I have a 25 Y.O half sister Elizabeth. from my birth mother. she was 11 when I first met her. shes been my favorite out of the 3 girls that Mom has. but,,shes kinda turned out to be a mess. she has 2 children from 2 dads. 4 and 7. they dont have any contact with the kids. one of them just got out of jail last week for holding a gun to her head and other problems. hes not even on Jacobs birth certificate. Shes also been very sick. she has Lupus and Fibromyalgia. needs knee surgery. is in the hospital about 1 or 2x a month. she just qualified for disability and gets food stamps and welfare for the kids. she was down here last weekend with the kids. (she lives in Springfield Mass, 1 hour 45 mins away from me,,,) he had to leave town in a hurry last weekend because of something with an ex-bf and her guy friend got into it over the friend walking Mackenzie down the street. not sure, I lost track,,,but she called me crying and scared so she escaped with the kids for the weekend. I`m glad I can be here for her as a big sister and a good Aunt for the kids. we had a nice weekend and she said she hadnt slept that good in ages! heres my issue.......shes planning on moving down here with the kids to get away from all the carp and make a fresh start!! shes coming on Friday to look at Apartments. down here close to me. her parents think its a great idea! me? not so much!!
I think she needs way too much support than what I can give her. and I dont really want her "friends" following her and knowing where I live. Steve says hes not getting involved. her and a boyfriend lived with us for a year about 7 years ago. I dont know what to do. I dont think theres anything I can do. but be supportive I guess. I just dont really want the responsibilty as I would be the only family member down here. and I dont want to seem like heel and object either..
I just wanted to throw that out here and see what you guys though of the situation.

I've been to Wal-Mart... done 3 loads of laundry, reorganized the linen closet... and am just about finished cleaning the bathroom.

Oh did I mention Joshua is HOME Yup.. that's slowing me down.
Have not TOUCHED a Christmas Card.. nor put up the first Decoration. .. I may just have to be a Scrooge unless I get the House and Carpets cleaned
