It's snowing:mad: It should NOT be snowing in November. We should not have snow until at least the end of January!:sad2:

Did you see the Steeler game last night, Janet? It was really coming down in the middle of the game! We've had some flurries, but nothing that is sticking around. I felt sorta sorry for the players last night, but then I thought of the millions they're making. Can't feel sorry for them. :laughing:

:lmao: THat's my philosphy too. Last nights game was on the NFL network right??? We don't get that. Jim is the only one who watches football and he is content with the Sunday games:thumbsup2

Taking a brief work break before I head out to DD11's school Thanksgiving program. I think I'm supposed to hang outside the class room to make sure other parents show before I make an appearance. :blush: DD11 wasn't sure they were having parent visits and doesn't want to be the only one with a visitor. How quickly they grow up...

That's nice you're able to go to your kids programs! :thumbsup2 I don't remember my dad coming to any of ours but I don't remember much from 25 years ago! ;)
I'm glad I have the flexibility at the office to do it. I left a job four years ago that had me on a pretty crazy schedule with work and travel. I'm not pulling the same salary I did then, but looking back, I think I made the right call. :)

Well folks, it's official.....hades has dropped below 32 degrees! :rotfl2: It snowed here this morning (nice big flakes). That's twice in 4 days. :eek: Of course it didn't stick because remember it was 80 a week ago so the ground isn't frozen. But still snow? Here? In November? Twice? :confused: But wait; :idea: it did thunder last week, but I thought that theory only applies in winter.
No snow here, but definitely colder than usual here in Atlanta. :cold: Much to the kids dismay, we forced them into the warm coats earlier this week.

I'm the latest to fall ill, though it sounds like maybe a different virus from what everybody eles here has. It's a nasty cold; I'm up to my eyeballs in phlegm. Yuck. :crazy2: Good thing I can rest all weekend...

Uh, NO, no I can't - I've got a paper, a project, shopping, cleaning and packing to do! :headache:
Feel better V! :hug: I hear you on the weekend. We've got cleaning and preparation to manage between now and tomorrow evening. We're having DD8's ninth birthday party. :bday: We have about 10 8-9 year olds sleeping over. DD11 may also have a friend overnight to keep her company. I'll have to update the signature soon.

OH NO, V!!! This is NOT good! I tell you, I swear by Mucinex DM!!! Expensive (most stores have an off brand though) but it works sooooo well on those phlegmy things!
Feel better honey! :hug:

JODI: Thought I quoted you, but it didn't show up!!??
How long was DD4 sick? Just wondering as I'm still feeling awful, and now poor little Gus has it. SD has finals (trimester, don't ask, totally screwy) and he left this morning saying HE felt awful too! This is NOT good! MIL is coming today and my Mom comes on Tuesday. Poor Grammas! :sick:
Hope your two are better SOON! :hug:
Ditto on the generic version of Mucinex recommendation. It works wonders. Mel, and everyone else whose got the bug(s) :sick:, please get well soon! :hug: And, please don't let it find its way to my house; that's all we'll need to turn tomorrow's party into a total potential nightmare.

What do you do work wise?? And enjoy the Thanksgiving thing :goodvibes
Thx for the wishes on the Thanksiving program! :thumbsup2 Don't tell anyone, but I'm an attorney. :eek: The deep dark secret is now out...:darth: I used to be a computer science professor, but I was lured over to the dark side, otherwise known as law school and intellectual property law.
======================
I think I've caught up. Sorry if I missed anyone.

I've got to head out for the school, so I can hang outside DD11's classroom for a while before I see if I get to go in. :rolleyes:

Catch y'all later. TTFN! :wave:

Good Morning Everyone! :goodvibes

Looks like everyone and their babies are sick! :sick:
:hug: :hug: :hug: :hug: :hug: to all!

Andy's off today, so we're fixin' to go see Twilight this morning and then when Maddie gets home from school we'll go see Bolt. Looks like our "Family Day" is set. :thumbsup2

Hope everyone who's sick gets some relief soon. V - I have to go with the majority on Mucinex. :thumbsup2

Happy Friday! :banana:

No way - really?! :yay:

::yes:: and it looks like Mousefest will be going on at that time too. :headache: Anyone know how big that gets?

Feel better V! :hug:

Kat - How was the movie?

Not Kat, but I did go see it last night and I thought it was pretty good. I had low expectations going in, but they did a pretty decent job following the storyline. The female lead kinda annoyed me (gee just like the book :rolleyes:), so I guess she did a good job! :rotfl: And I thought they could've explained some things better and I'm not going to nit-pick on things even though I could.

:grouphug: Everyone one else who's sick or has kidlets that are sick.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Not much going on today. Gotta go to work as my work weekend begins. I can't believe it's almost Thanksgiving. :crazy:
Have fun :goodvibes
I just had a call my golf partner has been taken into hospital with a chest/lung infection, they've done x-rays but don't know what it is yet, we were meant to be playing against Canterbury on Monday so I've cancelled that and told her DH not to worry. Hope it isn't anything too serious!
Got an e-mail from Disney wanting to know my T-Shirt size :goodvibes
:wave: Hi ladies and gents!
I'm fixing to pick Jon up for his CT scans!
BBL.
:hug: to all. Miss you all! Busy day!
Good luck, Jen! :hug:
Jo- Tell the you prefer a baby tee in small. That's what everyone wears here in the states. :thumbsup2 ;)
Janet- Me too. It's a busy weekend. :headache:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm so glad not to have PE or volleyball today. :) We're getting the house clean, ran to Target, and chilling in between. :cloud9:

Tonight C has her dress rehersal for her play tomorrow. Then Sunday we have A's bday party and dinner with the family for A and MIL's Bday. Next week will actually be relaxing as I don't have school planned. :yay:

Well, it's official, DD7 is now sick. She woke up about 3:30am and was sick.

Oh, no. I hope she's better soon. :hug:

I'm the latest to fall ill, though it sounds like maybe a different virus from what everybody eles here has. It's a nasty cold; I'm up to my eyeballs in phlegm. Yuck. :crazy2: Good thing I can rest all weekend...

And you too! :hug:

Holy Cow. Snow in the South!

Heat Miser and Snow Miser are at it again! :rotfl:

I woke up at 4 am. No idea why. Guess I could've come and DIS'd with Angela! I couldn't go back to sleep either, so I should be out cold by 9pm.
You should have! But I was able to take a little nap. :goodvibes

It was so windy today my cheeks are so rosy from playing golf :rotfl2:

Like Mary Poppins! :rotfl2:

We've got cleaning and preparation to manage between now and tomorrow evening. We're having DD8's ninth birthday party. :bday: We have about 10 8-9 year olds sleeping over. DD11 may also have a friend overnight to keep her company.

Happy Birthday DD! :cheer2:

Andy's off today, so we're fixin' to go see Twilight this morning and then when Maddie gets home from school we'll go see Bolt. Looks like our "Family Day" is set. :thumbsup2

How do you get Andy to go do things? When Mitch's off work, he thinks he needs to be doing something around the house. :rolleyes:

I just had a call my golf partner has been taken into hospital with a chest/lung infection, they've done x-rays but don't know what it is yet, we were meant to be playing against Canterbury on Monday so I've cancelled that and told her DH not to worry. Hope it isn't anything too serious!

I hope she's alright. :)

I'm fixing to pick Jon up for his CT scans!

:hug:

Next week will actually be relaxing as I don't have school planned. :yay:

Cool! :cool1:

Hello all!

OK I :love: LOVED :love: Twilight! It was the best book to movie I have ever seen! KC didn't make it to the movie w/ me so he has promised to take me again this weekend anytime I want. I tried to say Sunday but I think today may be the day- I really wanna see it again!

My friend Diana and I also went to see Equus on Broadway last night before the movie. The show w/ Dan Radcliffe and Richard Grifiths. It was really really good, the acting was amazing. I couldn't believe that was the same kid who plays Harry Potter. Not to mention he gets completely naked on stage (awkward lol).

Needless to say I am very tired because we didn't get home till 4am and slept till 1. So hopefully today will be relaxed and we'll go see the movie again tonight.

How's everyone else doing today??

Okay, this probably isn't going to help anyone feel better, but... I finally posted FockerFest to my TR! :banana:

Get well Fockers :grouphug: I'll be back later... gotta brush up on my Franish for tonight. :rotfl:

I already read and posted V:thumbsup2

When are you leaving for the Happy PLace. Rest and get well so you can enjoy your Thanksgiving dinner at Nine Dragons:rolleyes: Fra ra ra ra!

Fra ra ra ra!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Oh, a classic.

Daddy's gonna' kill Ralphie!

*************************

Sorry to hear of all the illnesses running through houses. It's yuck season. :sick: I hope everyone mends quickly. :goodvibes :hug: :goodvibes

It's been a crazy busy week at my house, and it's just sinking in that Thanksgiving is next week. It's just the 5 of us, so I don't go overboard, but if I don't cook a turkey the boys will not be happy. If it were up to me I'd just watch the parade and put up the tree. :santa:

I know! Iw as just writing my to-do list and am trying to figure out how to fit it all in:sad2:

Tell me about it. Next week is going to be crazy for me.

Got an e-mail from Disney wanting to know my T-Shirt size :goodvibes

Ooooh! I hope your golf partner gets better soon.

:wave: Hi ladies and gents!

Hi Jen :wave2: Hope everything went well with the CT scans.

Okay, this probably isn't going to help anyone feel better, but... I finally posted FockerFest to my TR! :banana:

Dude! I am so behind on everyone's TRs :guilty:. And now they're on laptop patrol at work to make sure the employees aren't using their laptops because someone squealed (sp?) on someone in another department. :mad: :mad:

Anyway, have a great night ladies. Don't get too crazy.

When are you leaving for the Happy PLace.

Ugh, I don't do turkeys, and I'm not even vegetarian. I just can't see meat in any form that still resembles its owner. :scared:

Please - it'll be a miracle if I finish that thing before 2009; you've got time. ;) Sucks about the laptops, though.

Alright, I was going to try waiting for tonight's language lessons, but I feel like crapola. Turns out 3 people in my office have gone down with this thing and one's in teh hospital with pneumonia. I had meetings with all of these people in the last week! :scared1: I just want to spray everyone who comes within 10 feet of me with Lysol.

Have a good night all.

To all you sickies and kid sickies - Get well soon.

T- congrats on your new celebrity

Hey Kat!
I loved the Twilight movie. We just got back. It was very passionate without going overboard. You really identified with the struggle of Edward and the family. Remember I haven't read the books so I went in with no preconceptions. There were a lot of under 20's there. Made me feel old. I bet it rakes in the dough! I haven't seen crowds like that since we left WDW. Doug went with me. He liked it too. He said he would get me the books for Christmas.:woohoo:
I'm glad you thought it was good! Let's hope the rest of the movies live up to the writer's talent.

OK, I had time so I cruised back to where I left off a couple of days ago.

Mr. Tig - Thanks for those pics. I love those glasses - they make you look so smart. Does your cousin know you posted those pics of her?

Angela - Nothing gets ya in the mood like Christmas trees. Beautiful!

Janet - Have fun Saturday. I can't wait to see the finished product!

Anyone heard from Mo lately?

On black Friday I plan on staying in bed and pulling the sheets over my head! :scared1: No way am I brave enough to face those demons, excluding Focker's of course.

Since we are going out of town for Christmas, I won't be decorating at the house. I did buy a few small decorations for the cabin we will be staying in!

Gotta go watch 'Sanctuary'. I love that corny stuff!

Have a good night and tomorrow!

Much better day today!! The paperwork was resubmitted and she was thrilled with me !! I said it wasn't hard but if no one tells you what to do it's impossible to do it right and she agreed and even copied everything for me !!Then I took the GS to Bob Evans whilethe girls were at their banquet!! He had never been and loved it !! We then went to the arcade for an hour or so and now I am happy to say he is sleeping and I can Dis !! Life is SWEET again !!:cloud9:
