Evening all! Got my oil changed and all of my shopping done for the week. now I have to finish some scheduling for this week~it's gonna be a busy one.

Good morning!
They were OK to me. they didn't speak to my mom and she is one of the nicest people I know. Yes, they were there to see Omicron play tball. He was very proud they were there. He scored the run that tied the game so his face was beaming They are just very snotty people who think they are better than anyone else.

Last night I went shopping with Chi and we got some stuff for Disney. I haven't decided if I want to do a pre-TR or not~just not a lot of time ya know.

I hear ya, I'm not sure I'm going to do a TR this time around. But I'm so torn.

I talked to Mel about an hour ago and they are doing fine. They still don't have power, but she was going to borrow a friend's generator so they could get showered and stuff. Luckily, NotB ob was able to MacGruber the van to hook the fridge up. What a handy guy!

QVC has a Dell as the Today's Special Value today. Don't know anything about it except is comes in RED and is on easy pay! I'm sure that helps.

Well, I'm still doing laundry... yup 5 hours later, so I haven't made it to Target yet. Did the grocery shopping but I'm too lazy to get up and head to Target. My list includes: Reuseable water bottle, TP, shower curtain and Cream of Chicken soup (I forgot that at the grocery store ) I know, exciting, eh?

Oh yeah, I joined the gym yesterday. My DBro and SIL go there, so I thought we could go together. I'm thinking of heading there after dinner... we'll see.

Well.... I guess I should go to Target soon.

Hi everyone! Power's back on! Crazy Michigan Weather!!!!

They said the winds were "in excess of 100 miles per hour."

We were standing upstairs in the living room and Bob had walked down the hallway to look out SD's window (on the end of the house) and he yelled to me, "Uh, three trees on the side of the house just snapped right in half!"

He came back down the hall towards us and as he did he was watching out the french doors to the neighbor's yard. He told me later on that when he looked out he saw the 6 foot arborvitae trees in his yard LAYING DOWN in the wind. Just then, he said "Everyone DOWNstairs!"

As we got to the bottom of the stairs I heard a noise like nothing I've ever heard before. I have lived in the Midwest for 20 years. Four of them in Illinois where we had tornado warnings DAILY. I have never heard wind that sounded like a train. Till yesterday. Holy carp.

No comfirmation that it was a tornado but I know what I heard. It was terrifying. Driving to the gym and back yesterday and today to shower (thank goodness for the gym!!!) I couldn't believe the damage. Tons of trees down. We lost the 3 on the side of the house. It grabbed the metal cap on the chimney and flung it clear across our yard to the woods and sent the kids toys and stuff ALL over! What a mess!

No power since then. BUT, now it's on! Whoohoo!!!

Missed you all so much. Hope things are going ok.

I just really wanna say thanks to you all for all the kind words and support, here and on FB. I truly appreciate every single bit of it. It's really helping me tog et through this.

I had no idea how bad this would hurt, it's really crazy. We have just been going out on long walks so we aren't stuck in the house all day where Bale isn't. We strolled for a few hours last night and stopped for some Chinese food. Today we put the rest of his stuff away, that was hard too. But we are holding onto it because at some point we will get another cat, not for a while tho I think.

Tomorrow KC has jury duty so I plan to head to starbucks up the block, for the afternoon, so I don't have to be stuck home alone.

OH and I started a new blog. I had livejournal for a long time I felt it was time for something newer. It's gonna be http://tinkykat.blogspot.com/. Nothing up yet, working on it still.

Kat, still thinking of you. I read all of your TRs over the last month but just finished the commando nazi one last night. I couldn't comment since it was already closed, but I could relate to a LOT of what you said. I told my boss that when we tour Disney we tour commando style and he asked me "You don't wear panties?"

Yea my friends still tease me about it but they want to go back with us next year, so my commando ways weren't all bad!

We've got a new Focker - Torsie!

I'm a yank/Redneck. I'm married with furbabies, no kids. I try to do updates once a day to help everybody stay caught up. I work nights so sometimes they don't pop up until late. I hope you have a good sense of humor and a big heart. This is a great bunch! We don't let just any Brit in, ya know.

V’s trip to Miami got canceled due to the fires. Sorry V! I hope your family/friends are OK.

JANET had loads of laundry on Friday. They are thinking of doing DL next year.

JO is tired from golf. She actually took a nap instead of tea. Wow I can’t believe that price for the zoo! I’m glad you had a discount. Congrats on the new addition to your family.

KAT’s application for disability got rejected. They will probably appeal the decision. Bale had to be put to sleep. I hope you get some sleep and I am praying for a good turn of events for you!!!

DEB can pay off a credit card with her tax return money. One of the kids has strep. Her boss thinks she goes to Disney without undies.

MEL has to deal with a lot at school these last few weeks. She is having pollen and tornado issues now that it has finally warmed up in the great northern regions. I’m glad you only lost trees. No damage to the house is awesome!

CE’s dad seems to be Ok. Her next set of guests should arrive on Sunday. Good Luck! I hope you can find everything when they leave.

Fri I cleaned, ate and watched a movie with Doug. 'An American Crime' was very disturbing. And to think it happened right here in Indiana in 1965. Holy Smokers!

Sat I was up at 5 AM. Yes you read that right - 5AM. You'd think I was at WDW. I worked on our finances for an hour. We went to Wally World at 7 AM and Cracker Barrel after that. I meant to swing by Krispy Kreme and buy some donuts to freeze. Why, you ask. They are shutting down the only store we have in town. It's only been there 6 years. They said it is a corporate decision. It was always busy. I forgot to go that way.

Then we worked on getting the old posts from the old deck out of the ground. I dug around them and Doug hooked up a cherry-picker to them and pulled them out. Then I filled the holes back in.

It was great as far as temperature. The wind was crazy. I think my eyes got wind burned. Pollen doesn't help either.

I did tell my bro that we couldn't make it to his party that night. He sounded a little disappointed but seem to understand. He did say, "You could come without Doug." I said no thanks. I was thinking, "Yeah, I could totally ignore my hubby and make him sit at home alone. Isn't that kinda why you are currently getting a divorce?" I told him we would get together before my B-day.

Hey Dawn, we were going to go out and eat. We were so darn tired and sore I ended up inviting my XSIL over for dinner. After she left we put 'Bolt' in and both fell asleep. It was rockin', baby!

Sunday Doug got half the gate done, went to town and declared he was too tired to continue. He is taking his chemo right now. I let it slide. J/K

It was crazy windy again. We didn't lose any trees but it was scary at times. I did manage to get my indoor plants outside. I drug out some wind chimes, flower pots and yard ornaments. I planted some grass seed. I need to spray the yard for weeds badly. Dang wind. I'm hoping we will have good weather this next weekend.

Too dang early here. I'm getting SD on the bus in a minute and then going back to bed for a bit. I am home today. Good thing too, as I have about 12 loads of laundry that I couldn't do because the power was out all weekend! Grrrrrr. I'll get caught up today and then go to the gym tomorrow, Wed and Thurs.

They are predicting more high winds for today and tonight more storms. Ah, nothing like Springtime in the Midwest! I had dreams all night that we sold our house and bought a new one in Peoria, IL. I guess I miss IL?

I know exactly how you feel. When Wednesday died, M was out of town. My heart felt like it would break whilst my head was telling me I was being silly. Eventually it does get better.

Well, with the Miami trip canceled I had lots of free time over the weekend, but was battling a sinus thing the whole time. OW! Got it under control enough to go to an art show Sat. night, but otherwise laid low.
