But if it helps to get it out, that's what we're here for
Thanks :hug:

Debra the ex sounds interesting:eek:
Interesting is being very nice :rolleyes1
:hug:

Thanks :hug:

I have an EX too but he is never around and that hurts DD for the kids sake !!She asked him to help her get season passes for a local park and he said she had to pay him back!! The man is a union Millwright and makes darn good money !! Yet another slap in the face for DD !! His family always wants me to come to stuff and not him!! Enuff said !!!!
I'm sorry :hug:. We deal with that too. My step son's mom is the polar opposite of my XH. She is never around and the boys feel it. I just want Xs that are somewhere in the middle if you KWIM.

That must be so hard and from reading that it does seem very weird, how are the kids?
Like I said, I think the kids feel pulled when he is around but they adjust quickly once we get home.
Hope your Nanny gets better :hug:

Anyways I better be off! Happy KC Birthday Day! :lmao:
Hope you have fun!
I did get to see Wishes on Saturday night from the Poly beach with my Mom and that was nice. :goodvibes
Sounds like a lovely trip to Disney :hug:

Thanks!

Between oral surgery and getting a job and the pouring rain, it's been quite a bummer of a day here!

MEL:banana:
Hope it gets better MEL :hug:

My DH said that as soon as we get our debt paid off I can quit my job and be a SAHM :cloud9: . Since we have a 5 year get out of debt plan that we have been sticking to for one year, I turned in my 4 year notice to my boss this morning. :rotfl2:

He didn't think it was funny. :rolleyes1

I also was sent a job opening notice from a friend and am thinking of applying. If I am working fulltime we may be able to get out of debt in just 2-3 years :yay:

Well I am about to leave work for a quick dinner (I put a roast in this morning), cheernastics of which i will have to bring all of the kids to, and home-scouts :laughing:

I also calculated how many calories you burn walking from my desk to the stairs, down two flights of stairs, to my friend Rita's desk, and back. It is about 25 which is coincidentally the amount of calories in one hershey kiss which Rita keeps on her desk :rotfl: So that means I can eat as much as I want as long as I go and get them one at a time right?

So far I've had 6!

Debra, love the calorie counting. ;)

Hi, Mel! Good luck. Go work for Dr. Siegle. :thumbsup2 :hug:
*******************************************
I overestimated AIL's niceness. :headache:

I am one of those people who keeps my cell in the car all the time. We don't get great reception at the house, the cell is for "on the go" so I don't bring it up out of the van when I get home.

Well... I didn't go anywhere today, as we know, and around 3:40 I went to get it because I knew it needed charging. I plugged it in without turning it on. Finally I turned it on about 4:25, and I had a voicemail from AIL - "Oh, we'll be there around 7:00 tonight!" :eek:

I don't know why she didn't try the house - I gave her both numbers. :headache: They are eating dinner on the way, so at least that's done, but now I'm in panic mode. Thinking they weren't coming, I made the deal with the kids to do McD's tonight, then a local ice cream stand, if they quickly did homework.

I hadn't showered, was still thinking I'd do my hair tonight, so I've quickly done that, and made up the bed, and done the last minute things (counter wipe downs, etc.) that I would have had ALL day to do if I'd known, but would be silly to do if they weren't, as they'd be messed up again, you know?

So, I've got to go so the kids and I can get out and back.

I'm hopeful, to an extent, that she's typical of that whole family - MIL and her sisters - in that they are chronically and annoyingly (usually - it works in my favor this time ;)) very, very late. :rotfl:

They're talking about spending 2 nights now, which is fine, but I told them over and over that tomorrow's a busy day for me, so I don't know what to tell them to do whilst I run around. It's supposed to rain, so I can't even send them on a nice walk. :headache:

GAH!!!!!!!!!

I may not be around, then, the rest of the night.

Wish me luck. ;)

Have a good one! :grouphug:

:eek: Our pool's only 78.
Our weather is 40 degrees with rain and whipping wind. Brr!

I've just been doing 50 million things to get things ready to move. Our loan guy said he could get us ready to close in 2-3 weeks! :eek: That would be great, but I may be a little scare here and there.

So did you accept an offer? I saw a few days back that you got an offer and you countered it. Are you closing on selling your house or buying one?

Nope. It was tornado warnings. One took out 4 chicken houses but the chickens were unavailable for comment. :rotfl:
...

Poor daddy is probably rolling over in his grave at that :sad2:

I'm sorry its not going to work out for you. If you lived closer I would send my brother over. He installs field lines. I hope you find your perfect house real soon.

Tornados! That is scary. We had a warning a few weeks ago and I was so scared holed up in the basement.

DH creates septic plans and such, so he pulled up the land plots and looking at the topography, the poor house is like the Perfect Storm of a drainage, well, septic nightmare. I really feel for those owners or whoever buys the house, because there is nothing that can be done. DH talked with one of the engineers at work to see if there were any crafty ideas, but unfortunately not.

It's a loooong story but basically we had a not so nice divorce battling mainly over custody. He comes to everything. Don't get me wrong. I want him to be involved in the kids lives. But I don't want him in my life and it seems I can't have both with him.

:hug: I'm sorry you're having to deal with it, but it sounds like you being diplomatic in a very awkward situation.

I'm here now! I spent the morning doing some laundry, email and cleaning up around here. Then I showered and went to apply for a couple of jobs. BLECH. I only applied at two places, and they are Drs in town here. They are practically family friends, I've known them for so long. Hopefully someone needs some office help and will hire me part time.

I also went and picked up my Xrays from the dentist and took them to the Oral surgeon. I need to get my wisdom teeth out PRONTO! They're so sore!I've never had trouble with them until recently and now they're really bothering me. I'm going to try to do it Friday. Then Bob will be here to drive me there/back. That gives me the whole weekend to feel better. No music lessons this week, so Saturday is going to be quiet.

Hope you guys are doing well. Between oral surgery and getting a job and the pouring rain, it's been quite a bummer of a day here!

MEL:banana:

I hope you find a job soon!

In regards to the wisdom teeth, are you getting knocked out? I did. I barely remember the ride home, but later when I woke up on my parents couch, I couldn't feel the bottom half of my face (really freaky) and my now deceased guinea pig was snoozing on my belly (sis put him there). I hope your recovery is quick with minimal pain :goodvibes
-------------------------------------------------

So today, DH informed me that I am not to set up any appointments for Saturday after 3pm because it is his Christmas...the NFL draft :scared: He is a football nut. The only good thing about living in this apartment is that we can't have satellite TV so no NFL Sunday Ticket. :cheer2:

So I have to start really planning out our June trip. I haven't bought park tickets yet and don't really have an itinerary figured out yet. We're staying off site at Vistana Resort, so if any one has any tips about vacationing with a 1 year old, please share.

Well gtg for now. Gilmore Girls is on. Does anyone love GG as much as I do? I miss that show so much, but at least I have my daily reruns.

Jo, :hug: to you and Nanny. I entered as well. :thumbsup2

Z, glad you had fun! I love B & C. :thumbsup2

Mel, good luck with the job search. :confused3 :hug: I wish I could find something PT too.

Since we have a 5 year get out of debt plan that we have been sticking to for one year, I turned in my 4 year notice to my boss this morning. :rotfl2:

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me. :thumbsup2

Finally I turned it on about 4:25, and I had a voicemail from AIL - "Oh, we'll be there around 7:00 tonight!" :eek:
I'd also do this :scared1: and :faint:. :hug:

Hi, Mel! Good luck. Go work for Dr. Siegle. :thumbsup2 :hug:
That would be a great idea if he wasn't so far away! LOL
Man....big hugs for you for the unexpected, but sort of expected visitors!!!

I hope you find a job soon!

Thanks and Thanks! We're ok for now, even if I don't get a job but I'd really like to have one if things get tight!

Well, minimal pain would be an improvement over now so I'd take it!

Mel, good luck with the job search. :confused3 :hug: I wish I could find something PT too.
It's so hard here with the unemployment at 13%. That's about 5% over the national average and GM just laid off another 1600 people today. :sad2: There aren't any PT jobs because all the laid off auto workers are doing them!

Got one kid showered and the other bailed out after 3 mins complaining that the water was too cold. Guess I'll throw him back in the shower in a minute. :rolleyes:

I have some DVR'd shows to watch tonight so I am going to bed EARLY. I will get the boys in by 9:30 and then I'm going in to watch tv in bed. Bob's gone so I can do that! :thumbsup2

My BFF loved it. I never watched, but I bet I'd like it. Have a good night!

I'd also do this :scared1: and :faint:. :hug:

Thanks - more below. :goodvibes

I figured the needlings might be better if they were free. ;)

It's fine, just threw my daily plans for a loop.

Well, we got out and were at the ice cream place when my phone rang and AIL was just leaving Cape Cod at 6:10. So, she's not here yet and probably won't be for another 30-45 minutes - and I don't know if they ate or not at that point, so it might be later.

That gave me time to get the boys in the shower and off to bed, and then also do a bit more last minute touch ups. Now I'm sitting with my wine. :thumbsup2

Mind you, I still have no idea what to do with them tomorrow, but at least I'm ready for them tonight. :lmao:

Mind you, I still have no idea what to do with them tomorrow, but at least I'm ready for them tonight. :lmao:

Will they have a car? Maybe you could give them directions to a local movie theater and a good lunch place? That way they can see a movie and they'll be out of the rain. :thumbsup2
Or what if you give them an "errand" to do for you? This is what I do with my in-laws. Busy work. It's not just for kids. :rotfl:

Mel:banana:

BTW: Bob just arrived in Peoria. He was in Chicago earlier and drove down. He said that they're getting the fields ready! Ahhhh. I miss Spring in IL!!!

I forgot to tell you my Nanny is in hospital it's like a care home ward, Mum's off to see Em in NYC tomorrow and she was trying to get care for Nanny whilst she was gone. Well she has some nasty sores on her feet that won't heal so the Dr said she needed to be admitted, the only good thing though is that she'll be there till at least after Mum gets back so we all know she'll be safe and cared for!!!!

:hug::hug:

Anyways I better be off! Happy KC Birthday Day!

Have Fun!

Hi guys!

Well we're back, got back last night. We ended up leaving the park early. My bro & his g/f went to MK while Mom and I went to Epcot. We had fun, but my Mom's foot was hurting her a lot so we called it an early day after having lunch/dinner @ B&C. We surprised my brother's g/f with a Happy Birthday song. She was a little embarrassed, but it was her bday and it's Disney!

I did get to see Wishes on Saturday night from the Poly beach with my Mom and that was nice.

Anyhoo, I'm caught up, but didn't quote since it was so much.

Glad you had fun:goodvibes

I've just seen a competition where you win a luxury DL and WDW trip, it's only open to US residents so I can't enter but make sure you all do :thumbsup2 Click here!

Thanks! I entered ::yes::

My parents don't live far from Vistana. Don't take 192 all the way to the parks. Find Sherberth Blvd. Make a left. Floow that until it ends. Make a right. At the light make a right (AKL will be on your right) and follow the signs to the park you want to go too!:thumbsup2

:faint: Sunday Ticket rocks! :rolleyes1

:laughing:

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Evening all. Jimmy is bathed and in bed:thumbsup2 I won't be too far behind. I'm tired ::yes:: He had a good appointment with the therapist today and Jim stopped at McD's for him on the way home. Jim had left over chicken parm and spaghetti. I wasn't hungry since I didn't get to go to lunch until almost 3:00:sad2: Tomorrow will be another crazy day at work. Jim is supposed to have a softball game tomorrow afternoon but I think he's going to get rained out. The weather is supposed to be carppy at least until Wednesday. Not much else going on..yes I have a boring life!

just as i was getting on here to read, my roommate found my guinea pig!:banana:

It was hiding in the guitar hero stand.:rolleyes:

Next time i get a small pet i wont get a black one. :rotfl2:

Hi All!

Well, I've had a busy day. Went grocery shopping, then to the Y to workout. Picked DD5 up from school and came home to dye my hair, shower, etc. Then, the girls had swimming lessons. Home to make dinner, bathe the girls. This evening I've been sitting at the computer paying bills and reconciling all my accounts.

I finally decided that I wanted to check in here so that I don't get too far behind!

Let's see what I remember....

Jo - :hug::hug: for Nanny. Glad there is a solution to her care while your Mom is away, but I know how you feel.

Mel - :hug::hug: for you too. I hope you can get your wisdom teeth problem solved this week. My brother just had his removed a year or two ago (and he's almost 40). I had mine pulled when I was 18. I don't remember it being too bad, but I do agree with whoever (Sam??) said to get knocked out! You don't want to hear or smell anything! :scared1:

Angela - Re: Sunday Ticket..... if you would just move to Indy, you could watch every Colts game without having to pay for them! We get every game on local TV!

Janet - Sorry to hear you're so busy, but I guess so am I! I'm hoping to get here a bit more tomorrow, but don't hold your breath!

CE - have fun with your family visitors! I hope they arrived okay. And I agree with Mel.... give them some errands to do for you!

Everyone else -- Hi! :yay:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, I don't know what I was thinking six months ago when I made the girls their dentist appointments at 8:00 am!!!! :scared1: So, now I have to get up really early tomorrow! At least I'll have DD7 to school probably before it starts, so she won't miss anything. Then, DD5 and I will come home and go back to bed! :woohoo:
I've got PTO meetings tomorrow night, so I've got to get some stuff done for that tomorrow during the afternoon. I just hope DD5 will allow me to get some stuff done. It's going to be cold and rainy (possibly snowing) tomorrow, so I know we won't be playing outside!:scared1: The spring weather in the midwest is so crazy. It's going to be in the 80s by Saturday and snow is predicted for tomorrow! :sad2:
Hope everyone has a great night!
**BEEP, BEEP***
:car:
Quick drive by post from T!
No time to catch up - I'll try tomorrow, hoping to use Kristel's Cliff Notes. ;)
Busy, busy, busy here. Went to a ghettofabulous wedding on Saturday and then DLR on Sunday - all the tourists are gone! :woohoo:
Sad news is I can't do Girls Weekend in October. We've booked a 4 day cruise to Baja for our Anniversary and it's that week. Bah!
Waldo's surgery is on Monday... THANK GOD!! He'll be down for another 4 weeks for recovery. Give me strength! :angel:
Hope everyone is doing well! Miss you ALL!! :grouphug:
Hi Fockers!
KAT just about had a rumble at the laundromat. They had KC’s party tonight. I hope it went well!
MEL may have to swim indoors for a couple more weeks. She applied for a job at a couple of places and needs to get her wisdom teeth out. :eek: I had mine pulled when I was 30ish. It wasn't too bad. My jaw was sore for about a week. I had some good drugs.
ROSIE has started a Sept. PTR. I’ll be sure to get directions from Lessa.
ANGIE says her little nephew Reid is going to WDW next weekend. :rolleyes1
DAWN needs a vacation. She has threatened the kids with summer school if they start slacking too much. :teacher:
DEB says Spring break is over. Baseball started and now she is a den mother for 1. And that one lives with her. I'm sorry about the XH problem. It is so much harder when children are involved. :hug:
JO’s nanny is in hospital with sores of her feet. :hug: for nanny.
Z had a good time at WDW this weekend. :woohoo:
CE’s AIL called and said they’d be there tonight and tomorrow night.
LISA M is planning her June trip. She is staying off site with a 1 yr. old and needs advice.
JANET says Jimmy did good at the therapist’s. She is still busy at work.
CEL BEL hasn’t even had her GP 24hrs and she already lost him. :rotfl2:
JODI is just busy with everything. :hug:
T can’t do the girls’ weekend. Waldo has surgery next Monday.
Hello to everybody we're missing!
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Carppy day #2.
The weather couldn't decide whether to be dark, rain, hail and nasty or sunshine. I took a quick walk during one break in the rain. The sun came out and it was about 60 degrees. Very windy though.
I played electrician in the kitchen. I bought some LCD lights for under my cabinets. I wanted to bring some light to a dark counter corner. I should have had Doug take a picture of me laying on my back on top of the counter trying to get these things screwed into place. Too funny! My arms got tired and I was cussing when I would drop a screw somewhere where I couldn't get it. Very frustrating. The whole thing plugs in but it has an on/off switch that you install on the cord once you get it where you want it. I installed that switch all by myself. It works beautifully!!:woohoo:
We go see Doug's doctor at IU Med tomorrow morning. I have to be up at 8AM. :scared: We have to get back ASAP because I go to work later in the afternoon. I'll need a nap.
I hope everyone has a good day!
Next time I get married you're invited :rotfl2: And yep Susan can sing, there was also a boy this week who was awesome http://talent.itv.com/videos/video/item_200105.htm
:rotfl2:
That's the same as about here Scott!
Maybe it is an east coast thing? :confused3
Scott, Bill and I will get married at Ip Dip, bring your check book :lmao: j/k.
:thumbsup2
Although, Jodi, I wonder if we should let Scott make the ADR's? He is notorious for changing plans ;).
Hey, I do not change them that much. :mad:
As for the ADRs, I'm thinking that you or I need to be in charge of them. Scott should not even have the confirmation numbers! I don't trust him!!! :laughing:
Is it the Sheraton Vistana Suites? Those are really nice. If it is, I don't know what Janet's talking about. :confused: I4 was right there and we just hopped on that to get to the parks. Maybe Janet's way is better, but that way was closer.
I :love:GG! Have all the seasons on DVD. :goodvibes
Ooooh pictures?!?? popcorn::
Hi Everyone!!! :wave2:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So I got in a fight with my mom. :guilty: I wish we were rich.

On the up side I started working out today so I'm feeling good about that. :banana:

Today was Day 1 of working at night during the week. The good thing is I can do stuff in the morning and not really have to rest before work. Plus I get weekends off!

Anyhoo TTYL! :hippie:
