Morning everyone!

[COLOR="Indigo
I'm in a lousy mood! Today I made an event for KC's birthday (the 20th) and I invited everyone we mutually know on facebook. So I told him if there was anyone else to invite he needed to do it. When I look at the list he invited 2 ex girlfriends. 2 girls I do not like. Why the heck would he do that? I do not want to spend my husband's birthday pretending to be in a good mood when there are people I don't like at a party I organized. He said it was "no big deal" when I said it made me uncomfortable. I thought we'd be like 10 people, it's looking like a lot more now. :confused:

What the heck do i do?

It's a whiny week for me , huh?

I am headed to NYC tomorrow to apply at the World of Disney store (again) and just to get out of the house some. I'll prob take my camera along and take some pics.

I'm off to play a mindless game and try not to throw things at KC as he plays his video games. :sad2::mad:
Sorry - No advice but lots of hugs and well wishes :hug:. And GOod luck with the WofD application.
My grandma brought a cabbage casserole (YUCK! Sorry but I'm not a cabbage fan) and mashed potatoes (YUM!). Her mashed potatoes always taste better than I make, or anyone else's really.

Glad you had a good day at work, minus the sleeping issue thing.

My DD has reflux from time to time as well. She's had it since a baby and I know certain foods cause hers.

But great big :hug:. I know it is a scarey thing to have to go through.

Awwww...what a nice DH and YUM! what he made. Is your mama the one who came along in your TR?
I'm not a cabbage fan either although I did eat a big plate full once just because my husband said that I wouldn't. :rolleyes1

Delta had bad Reflux as an infant. Didn't gain weight because he was spitting so much up. When he started walking it almost completely disappeared. Just a few months ago he started complaining of reflux again but because of his age it is hard to quantify how bad it is. He is on antacids but he can't tell me if it is better or worse. He can't tell me if it happens once or 5 times a day or if it happens every day. Also, he has an unusually high pain tolerance and can't relay how bad it hurts.

He eats a very bland diet (by his choice). He doesn't like sauces so eats most things plain. He is also a quasi vegetarian (again by his choice). He only recently started eating chicken and trying other meats but still eats very little meats. He also doesn't drink sodas or juice. His diet mostly consists bread, pasta, potatoes, milk, and water.

This test is just to give the doctor some answers. Some reflux is normal but we have no idea if what he has is within the normal range. Also, he wants to see if there is any damage to the esophogus. It will require an overnight stay in the hospital and two days of missed school which he is very excited about.

He has already had a stomach emptying test and we learned that his stomach empties at about half the rate of a 'normal' person. This means that basically when he eats that food sits in his stomach for hours before it moves to his intestines.

Have you guys seen the new picnic in the park that you can get at AK? It's a counter service on the DDP and looks cute, obviously not in august as you have to eat outside in the designated picnic areas but in the cooler parts of the year :thumbsup2 details here!
Yes, I saw that on allears. Sounds neat and I am betting that one picnic could feed most of my family since we are not that big eaters. Sounds like a bargain for us.
I'm at work and getting very frustrated! Long story short the boss is not telling anyone what the next move is in this reorganization, so I can't complete anything until the next steps are announced:headache:
Sorry :hug:
Yeah, I figured. ;) It's actually my own name that is completely unique - my parents made it up - and I used to use my real name on reviews on amazon.com. Some woman was easily able to find my address and wrote me a letter based on a review. The letter wasn't scary - it had to do with potty training because the review was about a potty chair :rotfl:, but it really freaked me out. My DH said he felt more comfortable, since I use pictures, if I didn't identify our town or names.

Of course, now I'm on Facebook, and that's all out there - but I approve who can see it all, so... :confused3
THat would have freaked me out! I do agree that facebook is different if you have your settings so that only friends can view your info. I post pics there and don't here.

Well I am at work. My boss is riding my tail today about a side project not related to my job descrip. So I may not be around until later. Hope everyone has a great day.

So I took Leo to his riding lesson last night... and got roped into taking some lessons myself! (pun intended) I've done a little riding and loved it, so I'm excited to start. Now I really, really have to win the lottery; we need a horse. :rolleyes:

Ooh, how fun! Woody wants to try riding this summer. I did a year or so of lessons as a kid, too.

Missed this and Debra's original post... welcome to my world. :headache: I got to where I had to touch up roots every other week or MORE to keep the white from showing. Too much. I've just accepted that the only way to stretch my colorings a little longer is to go lighter. Over the past few weeks. I've stripped the dark brown down to a light-medium brown base with light brown, blond and reddish brown highlights (read: white with a little color on them). I still have to find something for the roots, though. And on it goes...

Yup, sounds about right. I read in Good Housekeeping last year that you should really go lighter to look younger and hide the gray, so I tried it. But then, I just end up hating the roots. I don't know what to do.

And the picnic does not have a vegetarian option. Why is AK the least veg friendly park? :confused3:confused3

I don't know, but thinking about it makes me giggle a little. It does seem odd.

It's like being in Boston, going to the Aquarium, then heading to Legal Seafoods right after, which yep, we've done. :rotfl2:

All this talk of hair colouring, I'm sure I'll be there in a few years, just the other day I found one lone silver hair, I am only 25! :sad2:

:hug: Mine started early. I was already coloring at your age, just for fun, but then I started noticing white roots. :lmao:

That's got to be hard. :hug:

Good Morning everyone! :goodvibes

We finally got our internet up, but I haven't had a chance to play catch up. Of course that could be because I'm trying to beat CE outta 1st place on Bejeweled. ;)

I literally read this last page, so forgive me if I've forgotten anyone/anything importante! :flower3:

Jo - That picnic looks great! I think I'm going to go for it. In the August heat. :teeth:

Kat - :hug: I'll be looking for you on AC today.

V - Love that you took riding lessons! You go girl!

Kate - Costco?? Hmm... where do I begin. :rolleyes1

Mel - Good luck today! :goodvibes

Janet - Hang in there! :thumbsup2

Debra - My Evan had bad reflux (GERD) as a baby - barfed up every time we fed him. It was horrible! He now has asthma, which after doing some research could be linked to his GERD. :guilty: Good luck with Delta. :hug:

Now I remember who got me started on Charlaine Harris! It was you FOCKERS! I'm loving the Dead series! :thumbsup2

It's cold and rainy here! WTH? We had a crazy storm hit us last night and brrrrr!!! Baby it's cold outside!

Got nothing planned today - I bought a cute brown skort for WDW and tried it on last night and while it did fit just fine, it felt too heavy. I thought I'll die in August if I wear this thing. Me thinks I'll be heading back to the mall to make a return. :rolleyes:

Happy Hump Day! ;)

I still don't get how my scores get so high sometimes. I think they just "fall" right. :rotfl:

Happy Hump Day to you, too! Have fun at the mall.

***************************************************
I got my errands run, and that's about it. Woohoo. :rotfl:

Good for you, Rosie. ;)

Well, my friend just called, and in true pilot fashion, she has been rescheduled and can't do dinner. Which is actually fine with me - I am friends with her, but the pilot connection makes her a closer friend to D - and I was stressing a bit about going out on a school night, etc. But I hate having to cancel on a babysitter - I always feel guilty for offering a paying job and then canceling it. But, I don't have anywhere to go alone, so... :confused3

CE: Go get a decaf latte and hit the bookstore. I think alone time is so wonderful, I wouldn't even consider cancelling the sitter.
Do you have all your Easter basket stuff? Just a thought....:)

My mom and I played Scrabble this morning. I beat her by 20 pts, which is a SERIOUS thing! I never beat her! I'm so happy! :rotfl2:

She and SD played cribbage and she won that game, so she's happy! LOL We are going to pick up Chinese food on our way back from the Drs. this afternoon. That's nice for me as I didn't want to cook anyway!

Well, not much going on here. Just got caught up on my Real Housewives episodes. Did anyone watch the preview of the R.H. of NJ? They look like a bunch of nutjobs.:confused3

MEL:Banana:

Haven't seen him yet. Four o'clock!
MEL:goodvibes

HAS ANYONE HEARD FROM MO?

HOW IS SHE?

I do have most of it. I still have all day tomorrow and all day Friday alone, and it was going to be a rush, so I don't see making it too hard for myself tonight. :confused3

Hooray!

Yum. We took my mom to Chinese last Wed. I do love it.

Good luck at the dr.!

Did you guys hear. MK was closed at 11:00am and didn't re-open until 2:45 due to capacity crowds :faint:

HOLA FOCKERS!

I slept, and slept, and slept and slept some more. And I feel good! I went to bed about 12:30am last night and woke up at about 8am, read for an hour and went back to sleep until 1pm!!! It was GREAT! :woohoo: It's all the sleep I need to catch up on for the past few days!

So needless to say I decided to stay home today, instead of head to the city. I feel relaxed and wanna just chill at home, instead of putting makeup on and going out.

As far as KC's party is concerned one of the stupid ex's rsvp-ed a yes so I'm screwed for that one. I'm most annoyed because I don't wanna be fake- i hate fake- so if I'm a biatch to this chick then OH WELL.

I watched the Housewives of NJ preview- OMG they are hilariously the stereotype i associate with NJ! Sorry NJ-ians but I'm a NY-er at heart and NJ is usually the enemy! :rotfl:

OH- Later I am posting my recipe for my dinner last night - it came out AMAZING. I have to find it tho so i can type it out.

Ok, so I'm awake. Today is my recheck with the surgeon. Hoping (hoping!!) that I get the all clear to drive and clean again. I'm bored! LOL
Good luck!

What August wasn't that bad ;-(
Well it definitely wasn't too hot :rotfl2: Your sandwiches might have got a bit soggy though :rotfl2:

Well, I'm feeling much better this morning. Not as achy. I've got the kitchen put back together and all the curtains vacuumed and re-hung. I just have to pick up and then I'll take some pictures.
:thumbsup2 and have a nice day out!

We could get a better one much cheaper, but the one D got didn't fit. :rolleyes: So, I have to return that by going to a UPS place,
Whoops :rotfl2:

So I took Leo to his riding lesson last night... and got roped into taking some lessons myself! (pun intended) I've done a little riding and loved it, so I'm excited to start. Now I really, really have to win the lottery; we need a horse. :rolleyes:
Ooooh fun :goodvibes

I think you could definitely order for 1 or 2 people less than you have, American portions are huge aren't they!

It's cold and rainy here! WTH? We had a crazy storm hit us last night and brrrrr!!! Baby it's cold outside!
It's beautiful and sunny here, well it was it's now 9.15pm and dark :rotfl:

My mom and I played Scrabble this morning. I beat her by 20 pts, which is a SERIOUS thing! I never beat her! I'm so happy! :rotfl2:
Woooohoooo

I know!!! The 4 + 3 must be working!

Sounds like you needed it and stay away from the ex :hug:

I did more painting today, why on earth do people paint a ceiling dark cream???? I didn't realise quite how dark it was till I painted it white, trouble is it will need another coat :headache:

All this talk of hair colouring, I'm sure I'll be there in a few years, just the other day I found one lone silver hair, I am only 25! :sad2:

I started coloring at 18, Lessa. I would have been totally salt & pepper by 25 if I hadn't! Haven't stopped yet. In fact, that's something on my list to do tonight or tomorrow.

Haven't seen him yet. Four o'clock!
MEL:goodvibes

HAS ANYONE HEARD FROM MO?

HOW IS SHE?

Mo posted on FB yesterday that she had seen the doc and he wanted her to start putting weight on her foot. But she said it hurt a lot!

Hope you get good news, Mel! :hug:

Did you guys hear. MK was closed at 11:00am and didn't re-open until 2:45 due to capacity crowds :faint:

And that's why we don't go over spring break! :rotfl:

Glad it's you and not me, Jo! I'm done painting for at least a few weeks! :rotfl2:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, we're back from the museum and it was crazy crowded! Not MK crowded, but pretty bad for the museum. And I just don't understand what would make a school administrator think that the week that a ton of local schools have off for spring break would be a good time for a school field trip??? :confused3 There were at least 5-6 school busses in the parking lot, which contributed a bunch to the crowd levels. Just crazy.
The girls behaved themselves pretty well. We ran into a couple of friends from church as well. Now we're home and I'm about to kick the girls outside for a little bit. It's not bad out (high 50s) and sunny, so they're going out to ride bikes.
Only two more days of spring break! I think I can make it! :banana:
Hang in there! :)
**************************************************
I read during the boys' yoga, which was nice! Since I hadn't planned on being home for dinner, we're going to have sandwiches and such. They got home and wanted to play outside (despite it being 43 and cloudy/damp/raw) so I told them they could for about 20 minutes. They do have homework, and we usually eat by now if D's not home. Oh well.
With an easy dinner, hopefully we can still do a slightly on the early side bedtime. Woody had another morning of fussing when I woke him today, so I think he's still feeling the effects of the late weekend nights as well.
I told him this morning that I can't change when the bus comes, so if he's too tired, the only thing we can do is go to bed earlier. He didn't seem to like that much. :rolleyes1:rotfl:
Anyway, I'm probably off for a while until they're in bed, at least. See you later!
It is wrong that I deleted both of the ex's from the event? :lmao::lmao: I'm pretty sure they both saw it already but maybe it'll help get the hint. :lmao::lmao:
It looks like we are buying the TV this week! Thursday to be exact, and heading back to IKEA Sunday with KC's friend Kevin who will be driving us so we can buy the furniture too.
CE: Sounds like a good, relaxing night.
Janet: That's nutso! They closed it one day that I was there with Dawn but we were already inside. It was busy!
Kat: Yay! New tv and furniture! I wanna see what you made for dinner...
JO: Hi! I'm sorry you have to do yet another coat of paint. Think of how good that is for the under arm flab! LOL
Jodi: Sounds like a fun day at the museum. It was lovely here too. Gus made a snowman and then all the snow melted!
**********
Sorry to whomever I missed. We had delish Chinese food for dinner. Yummy Yummy!
The Dr. was SO fast. I swear I spent more time filling out that new HIPA thing they make you sign than getting examined. LOL He gave me the ALL CLEAR! I can't go back to the gym till all my stitches dissolve, but I can do housework and drive and Um.....other stuff. :rolleyes1
Thanks for all the love.
Anyone seen Rachel lately? (Wait, I just remembered she went to St. Petes....)
MEL:banana:
:banana::banana::banana: Yay for good doctor's report! Glad to hear that everything is good and that you're cleared for all kinds of "activities"! I couldn't believe how quickly they cleared me for that as well. I think the doctor pretty much told me that I could do whatever I wanted as soon as I felt up to it. And that was one day after major surgery! Needless to say, I wasn't up to it for a little while....:rolleyes1
Take it easy though. Don't overdo it or you'll be feeling it the next day. Let NotBob and the boys (and your mom) do stuff for you a little while longer.
Speaking of chores and stuff, I made the girls clean their rooms before we went to the museum today. I took the vacuum into DD7's room and showed her how to use it and then told her that is her new job. I figured it was high time she learn to help out around the house, right? Next I'll teach DD5 how to dust. :woohoo:
