Morning everyone!

Not much going on here. Two more days of spring break. I can't wait to send my kids back to school on Monday! :woohoo: It actually hasn't been all that bad. But it has reminded me that I need to plan some activities for the summer. I know that I can't handle a whole summer of doing nothing. So far, I've got DD7 enrolled in three camps and DD5 in one.

I've got some cleaning to do this morning. Hope everyone has a great day! Be back later!

Jimmy just picked his camp activities for the 2 weeks he will go to camp. He is done school June 12th and Jim isn't done until the 23rd:sad2: It's costing more $$$ than we thought, becasue a couple of the activites he picked cost extra money, but it's things he wants to do. We thought it was funny becasue he picked all arts and craft type stuff, and jim and I are so not crafty. The one thing he picked I immediately thought of you though. One of his weeks he is going to be doing Lego Robotics:thumbsup2

Are the camps you send the girls too theme camps?

Morning! Sorry I didn't quote... I can't even make up a good excuse; I'm just lazy, I guess! :rotfl: No, I've got some stuff to get through for work. But I did read through quickly, so I'm caught-up. :thumbsup2

Leo and I colored eggs last night. I think I need to start blowing the liquid out in future years. He was NOT happy about putting the eggs into the fridge, and even less happy about the prospect of ruining all his creative decorating by eating them at a later date!

BBL.... :grouphug:

Just had to chime in on this real quick... camp prices are a killer down here! The city-run ones aren't too bad - $80/week - and they have a ton of themes (H is doing a few Nature Camps and a few Swim Camps). But Horse Camp nearly made me cry at the price tag of $250/week! :scared1: :faint:

Jimmy's camp is $200/week. An extra $50 for before and after care (becasue camp is 9 - 4:rolleyes:). An extra $50 for swimming. And then for his specail things. $100 for pottery and $100 for Lego robotics. All the other things he picked are free...thank goodness. We are looking at $800 for 2 weeks :faint:

DD7 is going to our church's camp for a week in June. It's an overnight camp from Sunday afternoon through Friday morning. She went last summer for two nights.

Then, in July she is going to Brownie Day Camp with a few girls from her Brownie troop. I think they get to spend the night one night during the week -- Thursday, I think. Should be fun for her.

And then, both girls are going to a day camp the parks dept runs in our town. DD7's week is themed "Baking Bonanza" and she's very excited. DD5's theme for the week is "Mad Scientist" and she's got her evil laugh down pat. She sounds just like Dr. Doofenschmirtz off of Phineas and Ferb!

I'm going to see how DD5 does while DD7 is away for an entire week. I'm seriously debating putting her in another camp while DD7 is at Brownie Day camp. The living history center right near our house has a camp they run through the summer. She would get to help take care of the animals and ride paddleboats on the river. It looks like fun. I'm still thinking about that though.

/week! :scared1: :faint:

I think our town parks dept camps are really reasonable -- $66 for the week -- but they only run from 9am-1:30pm. The Brownie camp is only $90 for the week, so that's extremely reasonable. And that price includes bus transportation to the camp (it's about 45 minutes away from our house). All I have to do is take her to a local elementary school to catch the bus. The church camp is definitely the most expensive, but it's also a sleepover camp and they provide three meals a day. I still think it's pretty reasonable overall, compared to other camps I've seen.

Wow!!!! That's just crazy! Our YMCA has camps every week with different themes and I think each week is under $100. And they all include swimming! Not sure how much early drop off and late pick up is, but I'm sure it wouldn't be $800 for two weeks! That's just absurd!

Janet, do you know if he's using NXTs or RCXs at Lego camp?

I just signed #s 2 and 3 up for soccer camp this morning. $218 for the two of them for one week is suddenly looking good.

Morning!:goodvibes

I think we're out of our cold snap. I hope everyone else is seeing the return of spring.

We're off to the park this afternoon so the boys can visit with their friends. I've got a million things to do, but they deserve some time, so we'll be out and about.

I hope everyone has a great day! :grouphug:

Would it be too much to ask that I don't get woken up just one morning to A screaming at one of his sisters? :headache: :sad2: Geez. It starts my day off crabby.

Anyway... now you guys see why we do school in August! :rotfl: It's all I can do not to lock them in their rooms with all the fighting. I'd rather them learn and have less time to argue or whine. :teacher: Not to mention it's so hot here we don't go outside if we can help it, unless it's to swim. :thumbsup2

Today's school, dance and a baseball game. We were supposed to go to an egg hunt, but I don't feel like it. We'll go to the one at the church Saturday instead.

Jodi- I e-mailed you on FB. :surfweb:

Catching up...

Indigo"]It is wrong that I deleted both of the ex's from the event? :lmao::lmao: I'm pretty sure they both saw it already but maybe it'll help get the hint. :lmao::lmao:

It looks like we are buying the TV this week! Thursday to be exact, and heading back to IKEA Sunday with KC's friend Kevin who will be driving us so we can buy the furniture too.
Te he! for the deletion
and Woo Hoo for the tv and furniture
Sorry to whomever I missed. We had delish Chinese food for dinner. Yummy Yummy!
The Dr. was SO fast. I swear I spent more time filling out that new HIPA thing they make you sign than getting examined. LOL He gave me the ALL CLEAR! I can't go back to the gym till all my stitches dissolve, but I can do housework and drive and Um.....other stuff. :rolleyes1

Thanks for all the love.

Anyone seen Rachel lately? (Wait, I just remembered she went to St. Petes....)

MEL:banana:
Woo Hoo for the all clear
:Speaking of chores and stuff, I made the girls clean their rooms before we went to the museum today. I took the vacuum into DD7's room and showed her how to use it and then told her that is her new job. I figured it was high time she learn to help out around the house, right? Next I'll teach DD5 how to dust. :woohoo:
Chores is still a problem at our house. Our kids fight us on doing them no matter what the incentive. Getting them to do their chore is more work on us than just doing the chore ourselves :headache:

Janet, do you know if he's using NXTs or RCXs at Lego camp?

:confused3 I will look at the paper tonight when I get home and let you know. I forgot #1 does the logo robotics. I was thinking Jodi since she is our official TFW Lego builder!:thumbsup2

I hope everyone has a great day! :grouphug:

You too:hug:

::yes:: but it's the going rate around here. They know they've got you by the nose hairs:mad:

It probably is asking too much, but you can alway try. Tell the girls to lock him in the closet until it's time to wake up;)

I just had a friend request from an English lady who keeps asking me questions on the MP, do you think that's weird?
Weird yes, but probably harmless.
Taking my mom to Ikea today (or tomorrow). Depends on what day Peggy wants to go out for lunch for her bday. Whatever day she DOESN'T pick, we'll do Ikea.

Things are good. The sun is shining. Bob's off to work at the office, finally. Have a wonderful wonderful day, peeps!
I Love Ikea!!

We have two that want to do camps and two that do not. So if we send two to camp we still have to pay a sitter for the other two. Or we send 4 to camp and go broke :confused3 :confused3

Lucky for us my MIL is doing her own camp next week for spring break. She is taking all the kids to Rock City and Ruby Falls in Chatanooga, to DeSoto Caverns, and to the aquarium in Atlanta next week!! Then We are taking them camping in my mom's RV on Thursday and Friday! Maybe she can come up with another daycamp for them over the summer ;)
Debra, I'm reading your October TR now:thumbsup2
Thanks! Hope it is not to dry!!

Hi Jo! Fill it with Sugar?? Is she in the south??

I know you may think this is just crazy but my DH makes this banana sandwich YUM!! He toasts braed, spreads both slices with Nutella, then slices bananas and puts them between the nutella making a sandwich. Then he spreads butter over the top of the sandwich and sprinkles it with powdered sugar and cinamon. :cloud9:

Today we have karate testing and tball practice. Then tonight we are decorating eggs. Omicron has to bring an egg made to look like a baby to class tomorrow. I love these type projects!!
