Kristel We used to go to Cedar Point with the Church Youth Group!! We stayed at a Camp Ground that was very close and rented these gorgeous trailers They had 3 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen a sleeper sofa a full bath The kitchen had all dishesetc !! I think back then it was under $100 a night but I'm sure it is more now !! It slept 8 comfortably!! Just thought I'd share that !!
In other news Kyle was accepted for the excelerated program !! We are not sure yet if we will send him a the school it is in does not have Latchkey and we have to have that!!!But we are sooooo proud of him for just being accepted !!

I was going to go out later this afternoon for a little window shopping but Linds is home sick today. I had just gotten into bed last night when Lindsey came in and said 'Mommy I don't feel good.' Needless to say we were both up all night in the bathroom.

Poor little thing, I see she's been sick again hope that was the last of it!

Jo, I hope you get your boiler fixed today! Our furnace has been out for 3 months!

You still have heat and hot water though!!!

Last night i made a necklace and i decided to make some wine glass charms for my friend to give her with her wedding gifts. it should be fun and pretty easy. I might post a picture of my pretty new necklace later. Im so proud of it.

The boiler is done and I'm so pleased I didn't finish decorating the kitchen as it really needs doing now This evening we dropped Ellie at cricket and David and I went and did some putting, Jess stayed home as she's hurt her knee Anyway I can now putt straight not sure how long that will last though

In other news Kyle was accepted for the excelerated program !! We are not sure yet if we will send him a the school it is in does not have Latchkey and we have to have that!!!But we are sooooo proud of him for just being accepted !!

Thanks CE, Kat, Debra and Jo. Poor thing woke up from her nap, went to the bathroom and laid in there for a while and then said she wanted to go up to her bed. She said her head was hurting her when I put her in my bed. My room has no windows in it and is very dark when you shut the door so maybe that will help her some. She hasn't been able to keep any type of food or water down so if she is not better by tonight/tomorrow I may be calling her ped to see if I should take her to the ER.

Janet- How'd the call to Disney go? What'd you decide?

It's been a very quiet day around here. Even now its very quiet since Linds is napping. DR's watching Lilo & Stitch and playing with his blocks. I just took some homemade bread out of the oven for dinner. YUM...it smells so good in here! I burnt my finger on the oven though. Not bad but DR was worried about me. LOL He burnt his finger last week on the oven so that is why he was so worried. My little cutie pie.

The beginning of this day dragged on but I can't beleive its already almost 5! Gotta get my chicken ready and in the oven.

I bought some premarinated chicken and since it's not currently a torrential downpour, D's going to grill. (I can do it, but chicken makes me nervous - I always overcook it because I'm so afraid of undercooking it! )

I do the same thing! dh is always in charge of the grilling.

at least Judy isn't so devastated , I think she's moved to the anger stage !! Me I am in the Hate and Revenge mode !!!I plan to stay there too!!

The oral surgeon said my "tooth spots" look great. No sign of infection or anything. He said sometimes they hit a nerve or something and one side will be more uncomfortable. He gave me some gel to use.

Thank goodness!

Anyway as the meeting was winding down we atarted chatting and it turned out we went to High School together. She graduated in 83 I graduated in 85. We know so many of the same people.

That's pretty cool!

dh came home from work a few weeks ago and said he was talking to one of the VPs at work and found out that his wife is from my town and went to my high school. He is also German and I took German in hs and college. I told him I thought it would be neat to get together with them sometime. DH said they are out of our league.

It's a small store that sells like organic soaps and lotions and oils, stuff like that. Its a neat store. The woman is really nice. The pay is very little BUT i need the $ so if it's offered to me i'm taking it!]

I love stores like that! It would be pretty cool working there.

....I have purchased 3 Vera Bradley bags over the last like 72 hours.

I want the hipster. I'm waiting for mark downs on retired fabrics.

Here's something interesting. I was thinking that Doug and I could go to Cedar Point in Sandusky OH. next year for a short trip. I looked up on-site hotels for 4 nights. HOLY CARP!!!! The cheapest rooms were $900 total.

Allow me a little self pity? WHO carried him for just short of 10 months? WHO was in labor for 12 hours giving birth to him? Sorry, I just don't buy for a second that dad gets equal rights to this particular holiday. I miss my baby already and it'll only get worse as we approach 6pm, when baby Leo entered the world and forever changed my life for the better.

DR is being such a pill lately and his whining is starting to get to me. This morning I almost bit his head off becuase I'm exhusted.

I felt so bad for Zeta. He really thought he had done something good and was so proud of himself. When I opened it I just started laughing because of the irony of him trying so hard to get this birthday right (he messed up last year and was in the doghouse for a long time LOL). He already ordered the right ones and will return the DL ones.

That's too funny! At least he tried. Glad he is getting the right ones.

Yesterday I went to Joann's and bought some fabric. I'm going to attempt to make Baby Girl some Mickey shirts for our upcoming Disney trip. I hope it turns out. If I can get it right, I'll post pics when I'm done. The kids are going to do the Pirate Adventure this time, so I am going to make her some pirate shorts. I did this last year and it was easy. I just added fabric to the bottom of jean shorts and then covered the back pockets with the fabric. If I can sew the Mickey heads right, I'm going to use the same fabric to do a Mickey Head tshirt for ds. I also bought Baby Girl a cotton dress that I am going to try to add the Mickey head to.

DH took today off. He let me sleep in this morning, then we met ds for lunch at school. Today was teacher appreciation day and I forgot to put the teacher's gift in his bookbag, so I took that with me. I am the room mom and sent an email out to the parents asking them to get her either a Target gift card or one of her favorite snacks and I listed 3 snacks. She told me she did get a few gift cards, so I was glad. I also got her a gift card and a coke (one of her favorite snacks).

After eating lunch, we went to Old Navy, then to get Gelato. By then, it was time to get home and wait for the bus to bring ds home.

I learned at one point, but right now I have only my grandma's very old, stand type, knee peddle machine, and it's in the basement, and I can't figure out how to load a new needle in it. I think I need a new, cheap, portable machine for just little odds and ends - I'm not crafty, but there are times when it would be nice to have a working machine.

I have a new computer!!!

My 6 year old one decided to crash and die 2 weeks ago---no big surprise and I had been backing up things (www.clickfree.com BTW----it's great!)
So I shopped for Dell bargains and got me new one......well, it'll be mine after 12 easy payments! The screen is like 22 inches and I can see everything! So I'm watching you all now..........can't hear you---but I can SEE you! (Speaking of which.......my dang ear was proclaimed 100% gone......the doctor found that as good new as he said now a surgeon could fix it....when I'm ready to do that.........can't do it before you want to fly or swim.

So I need a run down...........

I know what you mean by being spoiled. I was looking into taking the kids to Hershey, PA this summer for a few days and OMG...sticker shock there on the rooms. We'll stick to the local amusment parks and zoos around her and in Pittsburgh.

THat's why I was so happy we were able to do Hershey 2 weeks ago...Tickets only cost us $23 each

I spent a while on the phone with my dad. Good thoughts for him, please. I think I said that last week or so, he went to the hospital because he thought he was having more kidney stones, but they did some blood tests and things were a little off?

Well, he had an appointment yesterday, and the upshot is that he had to have a bone marrow draw today - he's looking like he might have either MGUS or multiple myeloma, which is a cancer of the plasma.

Luckily, if you have to have cancer, this seems to be a not too awful kind. Sometimes, even if there are cancer cells, they don't do treatment if the patient has no symptoms. But sometimes it does cause kidney failure, so they'd have to see. They can do chemo and so forth if it looks like it's causing big problems... MGUS is the stage before the cancer cells appear, and that is just a "wait and see" thing.

Anyway, my parents are pretty upset, of course, and worried more, I think, about the treatments if it IS cancer than about the disease itself. With all the rain in IL, he still hasn't gotten his fields planted, and he needs to get that done, which isn't helping the stress of "what if we have to go to the doctor all the time, and I'll be weak and can't work?"

He probably won't get "real" answers until the 21st, so for now we're all trying not to worry about something that hasn't happened yet, but it's hard.

This is when I really hate living 1100 miles away.

Good thoughts and pixie dust from Philly!

I went out and bought some cute scrapbooking stuff this week for the new team. The team has a folder they carry for notes for parents. I'm going to scrap a really cute page with the team name and the girls' names on it. They also do star, so I found glittery stars to use. I like to make a button for the girls' picture too. I put rhinestones all around it and wear it at all the competitions. I got ribbons to make cute ribbons on flip flops and the pulls on their dance bags. It's fun! Rosie's DD is getting divorced, which is sad, but they're in the anger stage.
Kate's in OH for Legos.
T's busy. Debra's busy.
Jo has a new boiler and can putt straight.
Kat had a good interview, but doesn't hear until Monday about the job.
Lessa's mom's boss is being witchy.
Angela's godmother is coming in, and they have good plans.
Z's trying to get back to normal hours.
Mel has rude company, but her teeth have been pronounced "good" after the wisdom removal.
Jodi and both Jens are MIA.

I'm sure I'm forgetting tons, but that's what I've got.

So, K and I have been talking about DVC again. I'm hoping to buy 160 points at Bay Lake Tower after we settle after the move.

We're planning our first trip as DVC members in January. I can't wait!

I won't be able to go on the girls' trip in October, though because I can't afford that trip and to do DVC. As much as I want to see everyone, I want to invest in our future trips as a family. I promised K that I would set aside what was left after moving for a DVC payment account so we didn't have to worry about payments for the first 9 months or so. I think it's a smart idea.

K's working late, so I'm going to put my pjs on and relax.
