He's not stressed about it at all
Really? Becuase this would be enough to stress ME out...
Intensive Conceptual Physics
shudder :scared: :rotfl:

I watched Freaking Star Wars last night. Where :darth: goes from hot guy to flaming screaming stump. Talk about bad dreams :scared1:
LOL, Leo and I just watched that the other night, too!

This afternoon I was heating a pan of oil to cook up my Lumpia, (homemade addiction) Got a phone call from the school, DS was puking, get home with pukey and the house was filled with smoke  The oil was plenty hot. Mr the King calls, he ripped the handle off the e brake in his van and got a flat tire.

For Pete's sake. I think Jesus is spanking me!
Whatever you do, DON'T power up the weed-wacker today!

I know, right!? He's so "Mom, that's not a big deal...." OhhhKayyy:confused3

Yup. That's his favorite one on the list of classes though. He's a man. I guess that has something to do with it! :rotfl2:

Everytime SD and I watch that part "I loved you! You were like my brother!" we both sob like babies. It's so sad...:guilty:

Yeah, what she said! ::yes::

I meant to comment earlier - this is the only one I've not seen all the way through (only the end - yuck) and the only one we haven't let the boys see yet.

Poor Buzz - he always says Anakin is his favorite character. And he knows that he is Darth Vader in the later ones (earlier ones??? - that's fun to explain to 6 year olds, too... ), but I don't want him to see it happen yet, you know? :guilty: :rotfl:

That one was harsh! The flaming, screaming stump!! I thought that scene was out of character for the movies. And I don't think the Jedi should have walked away from an injured man :sad1:

Oh, Chic-Fil-A . There's not one very close to me, but two are supposed to open some time. Along with TWO Super Targets!

:woohoo: :woohoo: Two of my favorite stores!

Oh no!!! :rotfl: Sorry I had to laugh at the spanking thing. Now, here's a hug for you.

I'm so glad SD's doing so well. That's just great! :woohoo:

All the talking is Jodi's fault. She's posting 75 posts so she can be #4 on the TFW board. ::yes::

It's not my fault! Katt's the one encouraging me! And she'll be mad that I multi-quoted this message!

Mel - I'm glad that SD is doing so well and that Gus is excited about school. That's always a good thing. DD7 went through about four days last week where she said she didn't want to go, but now she's back on the bandwagon. I think it had something to do with the timed tests they take for math. She had a few problems getting into the swing of things and turning her brain on from the summer. Once she started passing them, she decided that school isn't so bad after all.

We just got home from Sam's and my DD4 talked me into buying the new Little Mermaid movie. She's busy watching it and that gives me time to DIS!!!

I still don't think it will give me enough time to catch up to Janet, but now that Jen is gone for the day, I can work on moving into fourth place....:woohoo:

Yeah, I wondered, since I haven't seen the whole thing. I only saw Ep. 1 in the theatre when the new ones came out. D saw Ep. 2 and we caught both those with the boys on HBO or something. But neither of us had seen Ep. 3 and we wanted to see it before we let them watch - this was last year, probably, even, so they were younger yet.

At any rate, one night D was gone and I saw it had just about a half hour to go on HBO, so I flipped it on. Right to the charred bit where Obi Wan leaves. :scared: So I don't know if I wasn't as appreciative because I didn't catch the rest of the story, or if it was just really that awful. ;)

At any rate, I felt better that they at least explained why Leia says in Ep. 4 something in the message to Obi Wan about her father, because I had always wondered about that. :thumbsup2

We just watched 4 again last week before we left. Buzz won't watch 5 again - he thinks it's too scary - but I think a rewatch of 6 is in our future soon. ;)

(earlier ones??? - that's fun to explain to 6 year olds, too... )
OMG, yes!!! It goes against eveyrthing I hold dear to let Leo watch them I,II,II, IV, V, VI. As far as I'm concerned IV, V, VI, I, II, II is the only way to watch them... but I tried explaining the system once to him and gave up! :rotfl2:

Yes, I am a Star Wars geek. :darth:

Wait, it gets worse... and I've always liked the Dark Side best! :rotfl: I've got a "Join the Dark Side" sticker I keep forgetting to put on my car. ;)

That would do it for me! :scared:

No way - usurp the power of our self-sppointed Supreme Leader? Punishment would be swift and just-ish. :rotfl:
:lmao: 20 Points for V!

....and Dirty Spanking What??? I can't catch up on that one!

had to work today and now running to get kids--hopefully can catch a DIS moment afterwards! (oh drat--kids will be home and Ab 's laptop is still broke)

::yes:: :lovestruc And I could honestly skip # II which the way I number them is actually # V.

TE are you getting this rain ?? we have had over 3 inches here today.. and Patrick County I think they said over 6 inches....

V... could I get you to take Fay back... maybe she would like to meet Gustav:lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc :rotfl2:

Nah... I could not do that to you.

I so knew that! I think I have Lindsey in my brain lately because TINK has a new friend with that name, who we seem to play with a lot!

Please forgive.

Did I mention that I am a ditz?

:rotfl: Don't worry about it.

Trust me growing up with a mom who had a brain tumor I got called all kinds of names...my brother's, the dogs, my aunt's.

I love it. It is so much classier than the "Dirty Spanking Lady" t-Shirt the church group made me wear :cheer2:

:lmao:

Now, I'm outta here. See ya real soon!

I know I missed ya but have a good time!

Just got off the phone with Mom. She thinks she feels a bit better today. :goodvibes

She had an EKG and the liver ultrasound, and will call me with results. She hadn't been able to eat yet, but thinks she'll be better yet once she does. Dad went to Grandpa's room whilst she was having this testing, and thinks he's a little perkier today, too. They are sending him to the hospital rehab for now. :thumbsup2

All good news! Yay!

I'm home from our travels! SD did great at his HS thingy. He got his schedule. WOW. He's not stressed about it at all but he's got:
Racquet Sports
Intensive Conceptual Physics
Spanish 3
Geometry
Marketing 1

They do tri-mesters, so that's the first one. The next two are some the same/ some diff. Add some Language arts 10, Drafting and Design, Architectural Art History, World History/Geography and you have the rest.

His locker wouldn't open, but he eventually got it. And he had his pic taken for photo ids. His friends were all there and he seemed completely relaxed. We grabbed lunch afterwards and I said, "Tomorrow is a big day, we have two dr's appts in a row!" He asked, who? I said, you, the psychologist and then I have a glaucoma appt. He said that he doesn't need to see her, he's good now. :confused3 :)
I said, Good! You can tell her that!!! :goodvibes I will say that he seems to have a handle on himself, finally. I'm so relieved! Thanks for all the nice comments, you guys!!!

MEL:banana:

That awesome news Mel! And wow...those sound like some hard classes! I don't even know what this is...Intensive Conceptual Physics. LOL Of course i didn't take Physics in HS and science definately was not my thing. Good Luck to him!

I know I'm not TE but we're getting the rain from Fay as well up here in our part of Ohio. I was watching the Weather Channel earlier and it sounded like it was kind of scarey down there in NC with tornadoes and such.

I think it'll be interesting to see where Gustav is going to hit. I think I heard they might be starting to evacuate New Orleans already? I think, but they might have said that they are going to propose that as it drawls nearer.

Guess who just caught a good wave of WI/FI on her IPhone? :rotfl2: Ly/Mi

Yeah the counties that Border NC and Va the storms and the rain have been worse.. so there have been Tornado watches.. and I think a warning.
That is 1 1/2 2 hours away... but not so far as the tornado blows.

But it's not bad weather at the moment. We need the rain. Our grass goes "crunch."

Here's a pic of my big boy heading off to preschool this afternoon. He did WONDERFUL and had a good time. He came back all excited that he got to dance. LOL

August2008010.jpg

There were no tears on my part and Linds and I went and did some grocery shopping while he was in school and got the things we needed to make her lunch for school. I can not believe school lunches are $2.50!!!!

Her big day to start Kindy is tomorrow and I hope I do the same as I did today with DR. I don't think it'll really hit me until next week though when both are in school and I really do have that 'free' time!:woohoo:

Well that's good to hear that it's not bad weather (at the moment) and I soooooooo know what you mean about needing the rain as our grass does the same thing. Stay safe if things start heading your way!

:rotfl: We only eat chili in the winter when it's 75 degrees out! :thumbsup2

Right! :thumbsup2
