 I'm at work, working a string of midnight shifts, off in an hour! So I guess the answer is no although I slept until 2 in the afternoon yesterday. :cloud9:
Thought you must be at work, that must really muck your body clock up though!!!!!

Have a good sleep when you get home :goodvibes

Thought you must be at work, that must really muck your body clock up though!!!!!

It really does when I have to switch between night shifts and day shifts. I actually prefer the midnight shifts as I am a natural night owl, not a morning person at all! If I could sleep until noon everyday I would.

"So where is it?" Santa replied "Where's what?" "My Polar Express Train!" says Evan. :headache: Ooops, I forgot to explain to Evan that you ask for your wish and Santa brings it on Christmas Eve! :lmao: Santa and I were cracking up! Evan.... not so much.
Can I say again how much I adore Evan?! :cutie:
BTW - I keep forgetting to tell you about the latest sneaker-escapade with Leo...
I tried so hard to steer him toward the Chuck taylors - no dice. Okay, then how about a Vans look-alike? Nope. A nice retro-y looking white lace-up? Uh-uh. He wanted the heavy, stiff Hot Wheels sneaks that light up when he walks. :headache: I think you know what kind of damage he's inflicting on his fashionista mama. I had no choice but to go out and buy ME a new pair of Chucks! :rotfl:

Oh and I love mechanical pencils too! Bic had the ones with the gel grip so you don't get that nasty callous on your middle finger! :scared:
Sorry - I'm partial to an old-fashioned #2 pencil with a new, soft eraser :thumbsup2

Good evening friends!
busy day--but I had lost 4.2 pounds!!
WOOOO HOOOOOTY!!!! That's AWESOME TE :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

The cats love to hide under the tree and peek out through the presents.
Aren't cats too much fun at Xmas?! Mine's completely ticked off at me: my new village set-up doesn't allow enough space for her to terrorize the villagers. She just keeps laying in front of it, glaring at me with a look that I swear says, "I could eat you, you know."

Tyler(my 12 yr old) had a friend die over Thanksgiving holidays in a house fire. His uncle also died and his mom is in critical condition. He is doing fairly well but keeps saying he didn't know things like this could happen.:sad1:
I'm so sorry Amy  That must be so hard for yourDS.

Morning (and afternoon) friends!
I have made a list of housekeeping chores to do today and I'm gonna do it......really I am........no more DISing the morning away cause I gotta get stuff done.....in just a minute. ;)

You need a girl--you can borrow one of mine and buy them all the fancy shoes you want! :lmao:

I'm worried about putting up my new tree with Isabella--she thinks the ornaments are for batting practice and the presents are for claw sharpening.
The baby goats would probably be better behaved! Hey--that's an idea! I could make a live nativity scene!! :goodvibes

:grouphug: for Tyler.

I need to take the girls to see Santa, the boys aren't interested.Rachel said she is going to tell him she wants a Christmas doll.I tried to get her to tell me what exactly is the Christmas doll but she said that Santa will know what to bring.:scared1:
\

Santa better get working quick. Could she possibly mean Holiday Barbie:confused3

Welcome Lorna we're a friendly bunch here so just chat away, have you found the UK community board yet? There's some great people there too :thumbsup2

Oh, poor kid! :lmao:

You can call me what ever you want, my name's lorna.

Hi, Lorna, I'm CE. Nice to meet you! :goodvibes

I had lost 4.2 pounds!! I have never lost that much weight in 1 week--even after childbirth! I won the basket of WW snacks (some of which are actually good!) Going to try and keep it up this week--sometimes I get a short attention span. Maybe the Tai Chi thing will help!

Excellent work! :cool1: I loved WW when I did it years ago (back when they'd just switched to the Points) and I did a self version of it before that wedding in Feb. I need to do it again. :sad2:

I decided Daran needed a tool belt--I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with all the Jennifer Crusie novels I have been reading lately! :rotfl2: <<fanning self>>

No, surely not! :rotfl: D & I decided last night that we wouldn't exchange. He got that camera for our anniversary, and we'll just see if we find something else we both want.

Okay well here are some shots of our Christmas decorations. Some are a bit blurry, sorry about that. :guilty:

That all looks fantastic, Lessa! :)

Well, Ab is modeling her cheerleading uniform--her first game is tomorrow. Her biggest concern is that the matching gym bag is not big enough to fit all her hair and makeup accessories. :rotfl: With a serious face, I told her she should coordinate with her friends which hairspray, gel, and mousse to bring so it wouldn't be so heavy.

:rotfl2: I'm sorry. I never was much of a girly-girl. ;)

Of course I saw this on your TR, but I didn't know about the other family. What a mess. :sad2:  to Tyler.

:rotfl: Sorry, but that's a great mental picture. ;)

So, Buzz is home sick today. He had a pretty good fever going on when I went to wake him for school, but he seems in pretty good spirits now. I thought he must really feel bad because he usually would protest missing school, and he didn't. But, nothing too much else seems wrong. That's good, I guess, but now I wonder why he's home! :rotfl2: (No, seriously, I would NOT have sent him to school with a fever.)

We've got nothing else planned today - how's everyone doing?

Jim and I are really going for the romantic factor this year. We are getting each other a toaster oven:rotfl2:

Poor Buzz. Hope he is feeling better soon. At least it is now and not over the holiday's.

That's true. He was being pretty perky, but just since I went to get Woody at school, he's back to looking "glassy eyed". It's been about 4 hours since the Tylenol, so... :sad2: At least any flu that isn't stomach flu is easy enough to deal with. ;)

That sounds a wonderful idea, whether the goats will cooperate though :rotfl2:

Yeah, but Jo likes us American's better;) :rotfl2:

Sooooo romantic :rotfl2: BTW WTH is a toaster oven? :rotfl2:

Love all the decorations Lessa. :goodvibes My cats like being under the tree too, I think it's because it's warm under there.

Hi everyone!

Tyler(my 12 yr old) had a friend die over Thanksgiving holidays in a house fire. His uncle also died and his mom is in critical condition. He is doing fairly well but keeps saying he didn't know things like this could happen.:sad1:

Hi!
That is so sad about your DS friend. :sad1: It's so hard to explain those types of things to kids. My cousin's friend died young and she was kinda traumatized over it.

It really does when I have to switch between night shifts and day shifts. I actually prefer the midnight shifts as I am a natural night owl, not a morning person at all! If I could sleep until noon everyday I would.

Yup, this happens to me too. Luckily I work 3 days only in a row so the first day off I have to regulate myself or else my whole week will be off. I'm a night owl naturally though too. :)

Excellent work! :cool1: I loved WW when I did it years ago (back when they'd just switched to the Points) and I did a self version of it before that wedding in Feb. I need to do it again. :sad2:

CE how does WW work, is it pricey? I've been thinking of doing Jenny Craig or Curves. Isn't there one that delivers the food thingies to your home?

I hope Buzz  gets better soon.

Today I'm in panic mode and doing last minute stuff before going back to my happy place. :santa: It just kinda snuck up on me there!

Sooooo romantic :rotfl2: BTW WTH is a toaster oven? :rotfl2:

Basically it's like a mini oven that you can bake/broil small things in, and at the same time acts like a toaster to toast the toast.

Y'all have been chatty last night and today. I've been gone most of the day and am going back out soon. I've only posted on a couple threads today. I have to get off now but I'll catch up with all of you tomorrow!

Hi, everyone. I've been busy planning things and printing out things today for the trip. What I have a questions about is Epcot.
We plan to spend a couple of days there to learn as much as possible about the countries. So, my question is: If we want to snack around the world, what is a "must try" for each country? I'd like it to be a snack or small food item we can share to taste what is typical in each country.

Thanks! :surfweb:

HS I know lots of people have to have the school bread in Norway and a pastry in France oh and fish and chips (fries) in England, Germany is famous for it's Haribos or you could buy Toblerone (even though it's Swiss) which is a delicious chocolate bar with almonds and nougat in :thumbsup2

Hey guys.. here is my newest tattoo i got this morning...

it means trust and friendship!

I don't post on here often, but lurk regularly. I LOVE all the photos of your holiday decorations...but this one might be my favorite. I wonder if I have space in my house? I bet I already have the empties:rotfl2:

Well Jo pretty much suggested what I was going to suggest. There's also the gelato in Italy, but I don't think you can use a snack credit for that. Germany's has a candy store stock full of stuff. And the School Bread in Norway.
