V, that stinks about school. I have no camps set up either, but since we're traveling a lot I'm not quite so worried. It really makes NO sense that they'd change the date and then not cover you!
There were other things I was going to say, but I've lost them.
T, happy 3 Day Weekend!
We enjoyed Prince Caspian. D has been reading the whole series to the boys starting back this fall - they do a chapter a night when D's home, and I think they're to the 5th book now. So, the reason I thought they could handle it, even though it was very, very battle-oriented, was because they knew the story. In fact, I was asking Woody "Does it all turn out OK?" "Oh, yes, Mom. It's going to be fine."
I figured they wouldn't get Indy because we've not let them watch the original 3. I kind of remember more "adult" stuff there - jokes they wouldn't get or things that I don't want to explain. (Why is that lady mad at him, Mom?" "Well, he liked her but then didn't decide to marry her..."
) . I doubt it's any more violent, I think it's just familiarity with the story, KWIM?
The movie was overly long, though - D said that they rearranged the timelines a bit from the book, and it was actually more cohesive as a series, but there still seemed like a little much padding to the story.
Still, the kids are nice and Susan kicks butt.
At any rate, we didn't get home until 6:30, then the kids wanted to go ride bikes. For our normal 7:30 bedtime, I am feeling it's late, but D went with them. They're still outside now.
T-ball's at 9:00 tomorrow, so... I think this is probably about it for tonight for me. See y'all later!
