CE - how is the deep cleaning going, I keep saying I will have Merry maids come in,but I just know they won't measure up to my standards:rolleyes1

Apparently I spend too much money eating out to afford them (plus even though I have clutter, I know where things are IN the clutter, so other people cleaning makes me weird.) D brought home Chinese tonight (food, not people) since I worked so hard.

I'm not done, but things are shaping right up. :thumbsup2

OK, let's talk dogs, no not those dogs, hot dogs. Someone at work made a crockpot of them in beer at a recent function. As many of you know I don't drink, mostly for medicinal reasons, but I am Irish with a little German so ya know I have beer in my blood. Well, one of my DB left some Molsen Canadian in my fridge last time he was over so I cooked up some Sabrett's with the Molson and OMG were they good!!!!!!

Hmm, we midwesterners cook bratwurst in beer all the time, so I could see this working. When we moved to El Paso, no one knew what a bratwurst was. :confused3

Here's a few pics of my new living room (which I am so loving!!)

I love it too! Is the TV working well for you? D is driving me absolutely insane messing with the color stuff all the time. :rotfl: I feel like I'm at the optometrist "Is this better? Or this?" ;)

So Murph (for those that don't realize Murph is my Mom) just called from Cancun. She had a really scary start to her trip. About 15 minutes after taking off the captain announced they had to turn around as there was a problem with the cabin pressure. As they approached the runway Murph counted at least 12 fire trucks lined up around the runway:scared1:

Yikes! Glad she's all good. :goodvibes

CE - still waiting for clothes pics:rolleyes1

Dude, I've been cleaning all day ;) - except for the Chinese food break. I'll do it, I promise. But, though I generally call myself "done" with chores after dinner, I think I'm going to keep working a little bit now and see if I can't get a few more things done so that I can work out tomorrow morning. I was NOT happy with the pants I tried on last night, in "my" size - I don't want to move up. :headache:

Hey Rosie.........make sure you let me know your dates when you firm them up!

I will once I know for sure, money of course is a big part of it for DD!! The biggie is airfare that could be the killer . Although looking today at SWA we could get flights within our budget but for next year I don't know . I also started playing with #'s for frre dining in2009! But it is HOT then and I'm not sure!!

Ahem. I know I don't post often, Janet, but I'm trying to do better :)

Glad the exchange went well.

You seem familiar....;)

Hmm, I'll have to try the Brats in Beer!

Hey Rosie, I'm going in Feb (already booked) and I most likely going the 2nd week in September (arriving the Sat after Labor Day)

OMG, I'm only on page 140 and the suspense is KILLING me! What the heck happened?! No, no, I won't jump ahead - I'm here to catch up and catch up I will... see you in 10 or so pages. :rotfl:

Hey Mel?

I'm back. So, "there" will soon be "there and yonder", Buzz was gone but is back but not "here", T stealth-posts under multiple identities... did I miss anything? :rotfl2:

As much as I am not into personal drama I find others drama like a car wreck I have to look at! I admit it, I lurk, I read, I just keep my feelings to myself.
Ditto. I used to frequent a divorce support board and did get a lot of usefull info. from it, but mostly I hung around for the constant, unabating DRAMA! popcorn::

Going to watch Juno today. I'm being open minded, as I have read a lot of negative stuff about it.
Negative? Juno?! You're kidding?! I LOVED, LOVED that movie! What'd you think?

I would like to know if me and my family are still welcome to join everyone for the dinner at the Biergarten?
Absolutely!
I have the question of the day! I always wonder this when reading posts.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE YOUR DIS SCREEN NAME?
This is pretty funny, considering all that's gone on since I last logged in... my name came from a nickname cast upon me by a former co-worker... who, it turns out, has been secretly reading our entire office's emails and IMs and using things we've said against us! :lmao: I swear, I'm not making this up! She coined the name "PrincessV" because I honest-to-goodness wear a tacky tiara at work when I've hit a writer's block.

V, all your clothes pics are gone? I'm sure you'll look fab no matter what. I think a red purse SOUNDS good. :thumbsup2
Thank you! Yeah, I didn't want to leave them up on my Flickr page. But I can re-post the winner!
Muffinygood because DH has called me muffin for almost 20 yrs now.

I think I added the "good" on when I was looking for an email... Every version of Muffin was taken.

mel
I always wondered about yours! I kept thinking maybe you made and sold home-made muffins. So, no muffins in Aug. huh? :rotfl:
I quickly scanned the previous pages and I started getting a headached from the misspellings:rotfl2:
Wutt Miss Spalins? :confused3

Here's a few pics of my new living room (which I am so loving!!)
Looks GREAT TE! :thumbsup2

I woke up late, cleaned my bathroom, then sat poolside for a couple hours.... the pool's finally warm anough for swimming, too! :yay: After that, I pampered my toes with a fresh coat of red, went grocery shopping, mopped the kitchen and did some school work. I'll be heading off to bed soon.

OH! I almost forgot... my final task before heading to bed?

BUY MNSSHP tix for Halloween night! It'll be our first time at the big par-T and we're pretty darned excited! Okay, I'm excited; Leo doesn't even know about it. But he'll be excited, too, I'm sure! AND, another DISer we know and love will be there, too! :ssst:

I`d explain where carrieannie came from but thats how I got the Ed name !! it was too long an explanation for Buzz, so he said I`ll just call you Ed, :rotfl2:

Except for the potty cleaning, that sounds nice, V. Yeah, I bake muffins allt he time. DH calls them Muffin's Muffins. He's so funny. yeah. :lmao:
Thanks for the hugs. I'd fill you in on "my side" of it, but who wants to rehash all that? Just darn glad to be here. :goodvibes

Happy Memorial Day everyone! Going to back and attempt to catch up!

ED! How's stuff? Did you work today? I hope not. I hope you went to a bbq and ate weiners and had cold brewskis.

Mel:banana:

Going somewhere? Me? Uh, no..... I just like to pack in case. You never know. That trip to the DMV might take longer than thought....:confused3

:rotfl2:

I'm adding Midnight Run to Netflix. Love action/comedy!

Mel

Is netflix worth the money?

Ahem. I know I don't post often, Janet, but I'm trying to do better :)

Glad the exchange went well.

And a special shout out to T2:goodvibes

I love it too! Is the TV working well for you? D is driving me absolutely insane messing with the color stuff all the time. :rotfl: I feel like I'm at the optometrist "Is this better? Or this?" ;)

But do you see a red 3 or a green 3:rotfl:

Dude, I've been cleaning all day ;) - except for the Chinese food break. I'll do it, I promise.

Was just keeping the thought on the front burner:goodvibes

I thought it was just a combo of your name and for some I thought your DD's name:confused3

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Screenname -- my maiden name is pronouced C.C. hence the jcc and 0621 is my birthday, yeahs it's real original::yes::

Is netflix worth the money?

We like it, and it's easier for me than having to remember to return something on a particular day. I have the $7.99 (or so) 1 at a time, but unlimited rentals per month version.

OK, just for you... :lovestruc

The skirts - couldn't get a good color in the flash, so the dark one is chocolate brown.
IMG_1863.jpg

And the shirts - just a step up from my normal t-shirt or tank top, but still washable, etc. :thumbsup2

IMG_1860.jpg

OK, one of them is, indeed, a white t-shirt. :rotfl: But I needed it, and it was cheap. ;)

I have a pair of lightweight tan pants that I think the nice patterned shirt will be good with. I also have another cotton skirt that's a blue/yellow/green tiny floral that the blue shirt or the white t-shirt might go with.

I am packing some "nicer" dresses and such for dinners out, maybe, but now the shoes... :scared:

They are awesome CE. Shoes are the worse part, you will probably be doing alot of walking so you want comfortable. I assume they are in the same season as us, so maybe some sandals of some sort:confused3 You need T and V here..they are our fashinistas!:thumbsup2

:rotfl2:

I was ready to go postal at the end of the day! we are only open 12-6 on Sundays, but CT liquor stores are closed and that makes it worse! :faint: Its still a fun job though. I love it when the old guys call me sweety and honey...:bitelip:
Went to my inlaws today..Annie was the first one in the pool for the season..the water was a balmy 61!

Yup, looks like high 60's to low 70's whilst I'm in Nice. Can't go far enough in the 10-day to get to Paris yet.

I was thinking my cute (I swear) Teva flip-flops, which are new and brownish in tone, my new little brown leather Mary Jane flats, and then a couple of nicer pairs of black shoes for dinner. I was reading on some advice website that people look at your shoes first in Paris, but we're walking a ton and I just can't walk around in my heels all day. :rotfl: As I said, I don't mind looking like a tourist, I just don't want to be a messy one. :rotfl2:

Hey, V, can I wear my black ballet flat Crocs in Paris? :confused3 They're the little skinny ones, but still, they're Crocs. :rolleyes1
