Team Focker Watch Chat - in the 11th Hour

So, I'm getting dressed for work this morning and pull out a knit top from my cabinet - from the middle of the stack mind you - put it on and kind of see a splotch on the front out of the corner of my eye. I look down and........it's a STINKBUG!!!! A live one!! I have an almost irrational fear of bugs - and one of my fears is that they'll get on me . I don't think my heart has stopped racing yet. Ugh!

If you hadn't noticed, my ticker is gone for right now. We moved the trip to December. I will update you on the new resort and ADRs soon.

Rockie's mom is not going to make it. The family is convening tomorrow to make a final decision. Her mother did not want to be put on any life support and that is where it is headed if things progress. Their option is to stop all treatments except for pain and let her go. They want everyone together for that event. It is very sad.

I have to work the next 3 nights and of course, if/when anything happens I will get a call. We don't know how soon it will all end.

I may not be around for a few days.

Good Morning all. JIm and Jimmy are off to work/school. ANother late night for Jimmy last night so it was a bit rough getting him up this morning He had a 5:00pm doctor appointment and by the time they got home, did homework, had dinner, let Jimy decompress before bath/bed, and Jim cleaned up the broken glass in the bedroom, it was almost 9pm before we went up to even start the bedtime routine.

The agenda today is cleaning Jimmy's room so he can get his display table set up for his lego's. I want them out of my livingroom!

ANother late night for Jimmy last night so it was a bit rough getting him up this morning He had a 5:00pm doctor appointment and by the time they got home, did homework, had dinner, let Jimy decompress before bath/bed, and Jim cleaned up the broken glass in the bedroom, it was almost 9pm before we went up to even start the bedtime routine.

Ugh. We didn't send the boys up until just after 8:00, ourselves (normally it's more between 7:15-7:30, to allow for a good story time, etc.) and then Woody kept coming back downstairs. The last time we heard from him, it was 8:40. He was actually OK this morning, but Thursday afternoons are challenging anyway, always, and I think today's going to be ugly by around 4:00.

D & I had a nice evening catching up on some DVRed shows (already? The new TV season just started. )

I have "fun" tennis this morning - except, of course, that it's not been so much fun lately. Wish me luck - my really good friend is skipping today. Somewhat because she had something else to do afterwards, but more because of Complaining Woman. She's heard that her team captains (as Complaining Woman is on her team) were going to ask the pros to sit her down - they were having more than one person drop team over her. I don't know if that has happened, and I don't know if anything will change even if it did.

Sigh.

As my friend said, "I can not have fun at home for free, I don't need to come here and pay to not have fun."



So, I'm really hoping for a complaint-free morning. I don't need her to not be there, I just need her to shut up.

Anyway, I'm going to get my breakfast! If I don't get back on, have a good morning!

ANother late nite with BA---she really coughs a lot at nite. Letting her sleep in and then hopefully may get a few hours school in. She's missed the whole week. I went to work for 3 hours last nite when Daran came in just to catch up some. May get a few in today too.

Oh-- I bought a sewing machine yesterday---been trying to alter BA's cheer uniforms and couldn't do that by hand....then I remembered I don't know how to sew! We spent a while getting the thing winded and threaded and then sewed a 1 inch line before it came all un-threaded.
It came with DVD so I'll watch that....I guess!

That's exactly what happened with Mitch's mother. The machines were turned off, soft music was playing and we were all able to be with her. Although it was sad, it was comforting as well. I'm sorry for you both.

Don't blame you!! Those suckers hurt when you step on them too. I have no more kids at home, but I have puppy toys all over the house now (and she can't clean up after herself )

Kristel - I'm so sorry to hear about Rockie's mom. We went through that with my Gramps last year. It gave us all relief that his pain was over, but the transition was difficult. I didn't know this. I have my Paralegal Certification too!. I was planning on trying to get a PAralegal job after I got it, but then I got pregnant and the plans didn't work out. However, the job I am in now I actually use my training. Plus, I have been where I am now for 20 years (as of November 29th ) it's so hard to give up all the benefits accumulated through all those years. I get 5 weeks vacation, 4 ersonal days, 15 sick days, and a great health plan. I think I will be there until I retire...or until the city goes bankrupt

We so have to try and make plans to meet up somewhere and have lunch one weekend! What's the closest Mall to you. I know Warminster, but not that well!

Well, I got all the books in Jimmy's room organized. That took me over an hour As I mentioned above I need a new book shelf for his room. I love that he loves to read, and now that he can read ALOT of words on his own we encourage him more. The good thing is that most of them he goes back to read over and over.

Once we rearrange his room I will take pics of all his lego creations displayed and show you all the books he has. Plus the fact that Jim takes him to the library once per wekk and he will come out with at least 5 books then too That is one way he definitely takes after both Jim and I.!

Janet - Wow, how about that! It is a great job, I don't work in a law office though (although I'd like to do that part-time when I retire - like in my next life), I work for a financial services firm (and, yes, we're actually still in business ) and do corporate work, trusts & estates, and SEC/banking compliance - I'm all over the place (which hat am I wearing now - LOL). I know what you mean, I've been here going on 23 years, great benes, tons of vaca - and most important, really, really nice co-workers. I'm here for the duration I guess. I only wish my commute wasn't so long - we used to live only 5 mins from the office, now it's 40-45 mins and I know that's NOTHING compared to some people (like LL maybe), so I won't complain (too much ).

I'll PM you re getting together- that would be awesome!
