 Any plans for the weekend?
Hi, V! What are you up to for the holiday? Do you work tomorrow?
Sadly, I've got NOTHING going on for my most favorite holiday. :sad2: Leo's at his dad's, money's tighter than usual, and everyone here is going out of town, so I'll just hang around at home I guess.

Sheesh, how pathetic sounding am I?! :rotfl: I am off tomorrow, so that's nice. :thumbsup2

The electricians arrived at 8:15 (they must of knew I was p*&^$ed! All is well and everyone is moving. I haven't heard one complaint yet! The day is off to a good start:yay:

It is seriously pouring.
Here, too. We're flooding all over thanks to several days of this. You'd think Florida infrasturcture would be better equipped to handle rain!

Me too:yay: That's right, I remember you saying it was your favorite last year:thumbsup2

You'd think:rolleyes1

I'm not sure I want to after that debacle last night:sad2:
I was quite shocked about the score.

It is seriously pouring. Parts of the weekend look a little better - just a chance of p.m. t-storms tomorrow and Saturday, Sunday looks cloudy and cooler, but no rain forecast...
It's been nasty here all week, only rain Monday and overcast the rest of the week. I think this weekend is no better. :headache:

Reid is supposed to give up his passie this weekend. When my sister told him he said "crying". ;)

So I was just researching WDW prices and it is $100 cheaper for us to stay concierge at AKL for a week vs the Poly and that was for the cheapest room at the Poly. I thought for sure the concierge would be more expensive. I really want to stay at the Poly but AKL concierge would allow us to book the Sunrise and Sunset safari not to mention Alek and Erich would enjoy the "free" food. :scratchin Does anybody know if you can use AAA discounts on concierge rooms?

I hate that! It takes forever for the clock to hit 5:oo some days:sad2:

Yep! I always bring a book in to read but I find it difficult to focus on a book when my boss is always walking in and telling me something I could care less about and that I don't need to know. I think he just does it so he appears "busy".

Leesa, it never hurts to ask about the AAA discount on consierge. I would Love  to stay consierge one day...

Good morning Fockers. I have actual work to do today so I don't have time to quote. Lame excuse I know

We don't have anything planned for the 4th either. My aunt is having a cookout at her house and we are invited but just not sure if I want to be around my family twice in one weekend since everyone will be coming over on Sunday if you KWIM.

DH says he doesn't want to go see fireworks this year. All the kids will be gone except for Tau, but he also said that after seeing Wishes just 3 weeks ago he knows that nothing will compare to Disney's fireworks. I think I just may be converting him :woohoo:

Speaking of converting people over to Disney... I think I have created a Disney lover in my baby Tau too. He is definitely showing the signs of a Disney fanatic. Yesterday as soon as I picked him up from daycare he kept saying he wants to go home to watch Mickey Mouse. We even Tivo it for him now. I can't wait to go back. Is it too soon to get a ticker for 15 months out?

Aw, I'm sorry. Our "holiday friends" DD7's b-day is actually the 4th. They're doing a kid party followed by good family friends staying for bbq and whatever. It's nice to have something on the one hand, but last year they were away and it was kind of nice for us to be able to do our town's parade, fireworks, etc. and see the kids' friends and so forth. :confused3

You'd think! We're under flood warnings, but it's stopped raining for the moment.

Reid is supposed to give up his passie this weekend. When my sister told him he said "crying". ;)

Oh, no. Perhaps it was mean of me, but I never let the kids have pacifiers, because I didn't want the drama of quitting. :rotfl:

I don't know the answer, but you know how I love AKL. But I know that there are many Poly proponents here, too. ;)

So, yeah, the friend has been here for about 45 minutes and I've not had to do a thing. I hope this continues! :lmao:

Hey Angela, are you watching Serena? This is surprising!

I hate that! It takes forever for the clock to hit 5:oo some days:sad2:

Jimmy Buffett says it's always 5 o clock somewhere!:drinking1

I moved the computer desk in the kitchen around to face the window so I could watch this:

HPIM2211.jpg

But it means the desk is over an a/c vent and I'm literally sitting here shivering! And the a/c's set at 77 so it's not like I'm trying to freeze the house or anything. I can't block it because the house is an open floorplan and I need the a/c to stay even so it can work efficiently, but I'm going to have to go dig out a blanket or socks!

Our neighborhood's doing a 4th of July parade through the neighborhood at 5 (kids are decorating bikes and dog to walk), 5:30 is a BBQ at the neighborhood park (that's where the parade walks to-starts in the front by the shops and works towards the back), where everyone brings a dish and they're having burgers and hotdogs, 6:30 pm is an all-ages kickball game, then live music and then everyone walks back to the front of the neighborhood at 9 pm to watch the neighborhood across the street set off fireworks over the big fields.

It's the first time we'll be doing it (we moved here last august), but if it's anything like halloween, christmas or camp out in the park it's going to be at total blast!

I just need to figure out what a good dish to bring is-I'm leaning towards cupcakes but I know everyone's probably going to also go to target and pick up cupcakes...

July is "cold turkey" month for me where I spend absolutely nothing that's not an absolute necessity, here's the link to the thread (it's sort of like a fokker thread in that we have regulars, but we start a new one every month and it always has different people)

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2217098

and every other month is a "cold turkey" for me where I see how many days in a row I can go without spending any money. It really works for me in terms of budgeting and being aware of how I spend money. :thumbsup2

It was just ugly. They all think becasue they won last year they can just turn it on after the all-starr break and everything will be fine. No playoffs for us thins year:sad2:

Reid is supposed to give up his passie this weekend. When my sister told him he said "crying". ;)

Jimmy didn't give us a hard time at all giving up his binky! I think it helped that in daycare he couldn't have it all day once he moved to the 1 year old room. As they are walking and stuff they didn't want them to fall, etc...whole liability thing. We would still have it at night until he was about 3 then he just took it and threw it in the trash!

Can't hurt to ask. When are you going back?

Don't you just love that:rolleyes1

Good converting!:thumbsup2

Tonight I am going to dinner and then Bingo with my mom and my cousin. Hey it's a cheap night out!:thumbsup2
Have fun and hope the electricians have finished!

That's okay though, I'll just rent some movies and get all cozy on the couch. popcorn::
Enjoy!

Cool on the skirt, but even you are taunting me with your good weather? :rotfl:
Sorry :rotfl2:

Anyway, they're excited about that. Because of that, D is leaving the house to do work, and I will be around a lot, I think. Can't nap with company :rolleyes1 so... ;)
:rotfl2:

Reid is supposed to give up his passie this weekend. When my sister told him he said "crying". ;)
Awww bless!

I so agree, you're spoilt after Wishes!

I moved the computer desk in the kitchen around to face the window so I could watch this:
So cute what bird is it? Have fun at the 4th July thing, sounds fun!

I don't have any plans for the 4th, surprised? :rotfl2: But Em is coming on Sunday to visit with her boys, they will have changed so much. She flys outof NYC tomorrow I think!

Can't hurt to ask. When are you going back?

Probably not until 2012, I'm trying to figure out a roundabout price though so I can break it down and let everybody know aprox. how much their share of the trip would be so that they can start saving. ;)

It's a purple finch. We're not sure why they're called "purple". Magenta, maybe, definitely not purple.

The females are drab, it's only the males that are so bright.

Sounds like a good idea, but I think D would have different "necessities" than I do. I don't do a lot of frivolous shopping myself, and really, neither does he, but there's always these runs to Home Depot or whatever. ;)

Not too surprised... ;)

I bet you're so excited to see Em - how long has it been? :goodvibes

But, but, but we love our WT driveway parties:thumbsup2
I thought only brown people did parties in the driveway! :lmao:

Off tomorrow for the holiday:yay: so hopefully I will be able to sleep in. Jimmy has been sleeping until at least 8:30 all week, how much do you want to be that he's up at 7:00 tomorrow:rolleyes:

Hope everyone has a wonderful day:goodvibes
:lmao: On the first few days of summer vacay, Mads was up at 6:30am! :faint: I can't get her up at that time during the school year! :headache: Enjoy your 3 day weekend!
Have a nice Friday and a great holiday weekend all :grouphug:
You too! A peaceful weekend sounds heavenly! Pop open a bottle (or 2) of wine and enjoy yourself! :goodvibes

Oh no! Maddie went into serious withdrawls.... fetal position on the floor, rocking back and forth withdrawls. Evan, not so much. He put them in a ziploc bag and told me to put them "up" just in case. :lmao:
I don't have any plans for the 4th, surprised? :rotfl2: But Em is coming on Sunday to visit with her boys, they will have changed so much. She flys outof NYC tomorrow I think!
Wow, how long has it been? I bet the girls are excited to see the boys! :goodvibes

*********************************************
Not much going on. My muther goes to the Dr. this afternoon to get the results of her MRI. Let's hope it's not bad news. :thumbsup2

Would you believe the neighborhood kids are knocking at my door at 8:45am to see if Mads and Evan can play. Seriously, my kids just woke up!

Heading to the gym in a few, then the doctor later, then probably swim the rest of the afternoon. For some reason I can't get my legs to brown up. I may have to (look away, V) pull out the tanning oil. :teeth:

:flower3:

Probably not until 2012, I'm trying to figure out a roundabout price though so I can break it down and let everybody know aprox. how much their share of the trip would be so that they can start saving. ;)
