So now Billy Mays has died, too. Strange. Not that he was on the level of Farah or Michael Jackson, but... D & I happened to catch his new show on Discovery the other night - I think we were both working on new computer stuff and just left it on in the background. It was fairly entertaining.

I'm really glad that I am not some kind of celebrity this week. That's what 4 in the last week and a half including Ed McMahon? :sad2:

We had a really lovely weekend.

Sounds lovely and WTG to Leo:cheer2:

Now he's gone. :sad1: Off to his dad's for two weeks - ugh. .

Have fun!
We did fly one year but I think we went to the room first that was near US and it took around 25 minutes. We rented a car from the airport and drove.

I was givng us about a half hour based on what Yahoo and Mapquest say. THis way we don't need to leave US until about 2pm on check out day:yay:

==================

Jim is up reading to Jimmy and then I am off to bed. Getting up so early yesterday really threw my sleep pattern off and I am really tired:confused3. I may get a chance to check in tomorrow before leaving for the casino, but if not I hope everyone has a great monday and week:goodvibes

I know - so odd.

Have a wonderful time! I'll be busy in the morning with getting the sitter and then going on to tennis and the haircut (just a trim, I imagine, but you never know.) Anyway, I'll probably miss you, so have fun!

:wave2:

just checking in! Dont worry ive been reading along.

Ive been sicky all weekend. Hacking and coughing the whole time. Ive got lots of studying to do tomorrow. I already have a midterm! eek! Then 4th of july weekend im house sitting at my grandmas and taking care of the horses, so that means i have to head home for the weekend. But marc and i get to throw a party so that will be good.

Then home to start packing up the house. Unfortunatley it looks like ill be having another midterm the day after we can start moving in. Since i have this house too i would just wait and move later, but marc will only be home for a few days, and id like to use him for help as much as possible. Lets face it, im not fitting much in my bug.:rotfl:

Oh and right now marc and i are planning a presentation. were setting up a big notepad with some corny drawing and well be putting on a business type presentation to break it to our parents that we decided to have our wedding at DL. :teacher: It should be fun. Well talk about when, why we chose it, and what is entails for everyone to travel there etc. We love putting on shows. We thought the humor might lighten it up and soften his mom and stepdad who are sure to say, "oh thats stupid...get married where your step brother did." :headache: just like when he told them about the car hes decided to get they just said "why? you should get a CRV" BTW CRV=chick car!:rotfl: (sorry if anyone has a CRV, its just not exactly a firemans type of rugged car)

anyway! Hope everyone is enjoying their twilight books and others! BTW i read the whole set of 4 books in less than 6 days!:scared1: marc mailed me the first 2 he had when i was in florida, but couldnt wait for the last 2 so i downloaded them and read them on my computer. Talk about fried eyes! I was on the computer for 15+ hours a day. Thats when i put it on my phone and read in the magic kingdom for several hours. It made me feel better and less guilty being outside. I pretended i was getting out of the house for my own health to stop reading so much. That didnt work.

good night!

Good morning :goodvibes

I've been reading along so I'm all caught up. Been busy with company and the boys in soccer camp. They had loads of fun but I'm glad to not have to run out of the house at 8:30 every morning this week.

I hope all is well with everyone.

Oh, and CE, just got to say I LOVE your hair short :thumbsup2

CE - I like the Merlot colored one. I don't think it is too short at all! Add a long necklace or a choker.

If you can't find anything you could always just go shopping :thumbsup2

I like the merlot one too. I wouldn't wear any necklace with it, just sweep your hair up and wear some sophisticated dangly sparkly earrings with it and that should be enough. The Evan Picone dress has ruching along the sides, be careful with that, it can make you look thicker than you are (and you're not), because the material can pucker.

I played golf today, yep I know you know but I forgot one detail that a few of you ie Kat may be impressed with :rotfl2: Playing in front of us was Draco Malfoy from HP Grandad, impressed? :rotfl: He's a member at my club and we were moaning about him and his playing partner the whole way round as they were sooooo slow :rotfl:

Oooh, my kids are huge HP fans, they'll get a kick out of that!

Tomorrow we are going to Atlanta and are seeing Dane Cook. He's raunchy I know but we still think he is hysterical. Plus we are staying the night

His publicist sent me email last month (me and every other media outlet in Atlanta) offering interview opportunities and backstage stuff-but we'd have to PAY! The managing editor of the paper (who is 65 and grumpy) was like, you'd have to pay ME to go see him. Normally the media doesn't pay for stuff like that...

Look what I got today...
DisneyPhotopass2009112.jpg

I tried to get a better picture of him, but he's always under my feet! :lmao:
He looks like a giant! LOL

Ooooh, so cute! We picked up our poodle from dog (jail) boarding this morning at the vet's, they tried to get us to take home an adorable gray kitten as well, but DH would just have a freakin' heart attack if we added any more animals to the ark...:rotfl:

ITA. It's like having another child to take care of. I always said we would not get a puppy until all the kids are potty trained (I've been saying that for 8 years now LOL). But now the kids are wanting one and I don't have an excuse. It's like a baby - I look at them and see how cute they are and want one until I think about all the work involved.

Oh yeah, it's work! I was able to look at the kitten (who was totally adorable) and think, do I have enough time to give to this kitten without taking away from the rest of my family and the answer was no. I told the girls when they were teenagers and their first boyfriend breaks up with them they can get a kitten. ;)

We were at Disney's Hilton Head, it was really nice and laid back. The water was wonderful, nice waves, very warm, lots of dolphins jumping out of the water. We're all (despite liberal sunscreen application) pretty tan, although DH is more burned than tan because it's the first time he's seen the sun because his last job had him working so many hours.

He's at his new job for the first day today; it took him 1 1/2 hours to get into Atlanta: 35 minutes to the marta, 40 minutes on the train, 15 on the bus. Luckily he's supposed to be able to work 50% from home, we hope it works out that way. Because I'm not moving-I finally found a house and a neighborhood and a school system that are a good fit for us (this is our fifth house).

Here's that thread that mentions fokkers:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2212775

I have a semi-funny story; I was sitting on the beach and my phone rang, I didn't recognize the number so I answered it (first mistake) and it was Jan, my replacement at work. She was sitting there with the accountant and my boss trying to figure out how to bill one of our advertisers, and the boss gets on the phone and is yelling at me about why the advertiser doesn't have an updated credit card in her file since the one on file isn't working, grump grump grump, and I'm like, that's the only credit card we have for her, she just maxes it out all the time so we have to call her when it's declined and get her to pay it down so we can charge her.

He's silent a minute and then says, well, how was I supposed to know that? And I said, well, if Jan had called her she would have known right away (der!). :headache:

And then (because he's pissy and tends towards vindictiveness at times) he calls me back to tell me he's taking the online email blast away from me and giving it to someone else at work. ooookeeeeeyyy. :confused3  There are only 8 people at my work, I feel bad for the guy who they gave it to because he's already overworked and has no idea how to do email blasts.

The phone rang several more times after that, but I decided I couldn't hear it over the waves and the kids giggling :thumbsup2.

KJJ - Glad you had a good time at the beach in spite of your boss calling and being a meanie head. Do you live in Atlanta? We would have loved backstage passes but not willing to pay for them either.

Good Morning All !! Worked all day yesterday ! Krystal I need an update !!!:lmao:

I am gonna try again to get my PP pix printed I have just been so busy working extra hours at second job for Disney money!!:thumbsup2 Plus I am the official daytime sitter for Kyle till Day Camp starts next week!!:worship: I have to catch up on all my TRs etc as well !! Life is BUSY!!!!;)

Oh, and CE, just got to say I LOVE your hair short :thumbsup2

Thanks! I like it, too - I'm just easily bored with my hair. :lmao:

I like the merlot one too. I wouldn't wear any necklace with it, just sweep your hair up and wear some sophisticated dangly sparkly earrings with it and that should be enough. The Evan Picone dress has ruching along the sides, be careful with that, it can make you look thicker than you are (and you're not), because the material can pucker.

Thanks, and good advice!

I told the girls when they were teenagers and their first boyfriend breaks up with them they can get a kitten. ;)

That's a plan. ;)

The phone rang several more times after that, but I decided I couldn't hear it over the waves and the kids giggling :thumbsup2.

Sounds like a good decision.

Life is BUSY!!!!;)

Take care, Rosie! :)

Got the babysitter picked up at 8:15, went to tennis (where the pro decided to try to kill us :rotfl:) and then on to my haircut. It was mostly a trim, but we decided to try to get rid of a few of the layers as I was having some fairly scary feathering issues. :scared1: :rotfl2:

Anyway, I'm home now, but the rain keeps pouring down and I think I'm going to have grouchy kids for the afternoon. We just would be a lot better off if they could get outside.

They are wanting lunch - I'll be back later. :wave2:

Just read this from Jim Hill Media. Kat, can you give us any inside info?

UPDATE: While I was in Las Vegas earlier this month, I spoke with a Disney Store rep who talked about how The Walt Disney Company was getting ready to relaunch this retail chain. How their long term goal was to return the Disney Stores to what they were back in their glory days (i.e. late 1980s / early 1990s). Back when the Stores (More importantly, the Cast Members who worked for the Disney Stores) were basically ambassadors for the entire brand.

Well, based on the e-mails & phone calls that I've been receiving today, part of the relaunch of the Disney Stores may involve changing the name of this retail chain to (you guessed it) Disney Imagination Park. Mind you, this next generation series of Disney Stores (which -- again, based on what I've told today -- will do their proof-of-concept work overseas before then coming stateside) will be unlike any retail establishment you've ever seen before.

To quote one unnamed Mouse House manager:

"If the very best of Disney Parks & Resorts, Disney Online, the Studios and the original version of the Disney Stores could all be blended together, that's what a Disney Imagination Park will be like. It's going to be nothing like the Company has ever done before. This place is going to redefine destination retail."

So you can forget all about a new Disney theme park and then start thinking about the next generation / relaunch of the Disney Stores.

HI Fockers,

I'm starting something new this week. I'm actually going to take some time for a real lunch each day, I even blocked off 12-1 on my Outlook calendar so no one can schedule a meeting. let's see how long this lasts;)

V - He'll be back before you know it and then it will be practically time to back to WDW:thumbsup2

Hope to see you all tomorrow!

Mo

Good for you!!! I highly approve. :)

:wave2: Hi Fockers! I went MIA again. Looks like everyone is doing well though. V- Leo will be back before you know it! Dawn - Saw the pics of the new puppy and he is adorale!

Not much going on around my house. I get online to read from time to time but school and homework has been keeping me busy. The kids are still with their father. My dad comes home sometime today from him month long vacation in CA. I'm looking forward to having people in the house to actually talk to. :rotfl:

I skipped my keyboarding class this morning thinking I might have to go pick him up, but no calls so far. I didn't mind skipping this class since it is pretty much a work at you own pace type deal. I'm already ahead of most in the class so it wasn't that bad. Now my math class I will not be skipping even if he were to call now. LOL I would miss a ton of notes and since this is a whole new math to me and a test coming up next week I'm not chancing it.

But I gotta run and get to class. Hope y'all are having a good day!

Now he's gone. :sad1: Off to his dad's for two weeks - ugh. I'll be spending my free time working out and eating right so as to get in great shape for WDW! :cheer2:

:hug::hug:

Finger Lickin' Fifteen... Janet Evanovich's 15th book in the Stephanie Plum series. In fact, I'm about to finish it.

Nice! I have the first one in the series and plan to get them all eventually.

Jim is up reading to Jimmy and then I am off to bed. Getting up so early yesterday really threw my sleep pattern off and I am really tired:confused3. I may get a chance to check in tomorrow before leaving for the casino, but if not I hope everyone has a great monday and week:goodvibes

Have a great time!!!!

Just read this from Jim Hill Media. Kat, can you give us any inside info?

There is a difference between a Disney Store and a World of Disney Store. WoD there are only 3 and after this Christmas you can only find them in the theme parks. The Disney Stores has been sold and bought back by Disney, so here's hopin' they start putting more stores places because I could sure use a Disney job again after April. :goodvibes

***************************
I am sort of procrastinating. My tummy is not cooperating still. I am dealing without the nausea feeling but spending too much time in the potty. Meh.

I have a lot of crap to do today. I have to pick up my work pants from the tailor :earsgirl:, buy some produce for my crock pot dinner for tomorrow (I figure ill be too tired to care after work tomorrow to hit the store), pack up my bag, straighten up, make the peanut oat bars for breakfast this week :mickeybar (So KC and I can take them with us to work) and make dinner. I'm too tired thinking about it.

BUT I woke up at 8am and stayed up. My plan is to run myself into the ground until I pass out at 11, so I actually am coherent in the morning. :faint:It takes me about an hour to get from here to work, plus time to stop for coffee :coffee:, so I'm leaving at 7:30am, which means up by 6:30. I am usually seeing the other end of 6:30 not the waking up side. Should be interesting.

Anyways, must stop wasting time. :rolleyes1

Kat, have you tried any of the Dannon Immunity yogurts?

They work *really* well with messed up digestive systems.

I caught that awful virus that was going around Disney last winter and ended up in Celebration hospital with dehydration from vomiting so much, I didn't feel better until I started drinking the dannon yogurt about 3x a day. That and the "revive" Vitamin Water (has lots of potassium in it-my electrolytes were really messed up).

My tummy has gotten really weird these days. I can't deal with the constancy of yogurt and I used to love it. Same with eggs. I dunno why.

I have a feeling my tummy issues are because of a drink I bought last week at target. We drink Crystal Light and the like, and I got a target brand grape flavored drink and realized later it was a "fitness drink" so I'm think it may have erffed up my system and now it's working its way out.

I'm hoping thats what it is anyway. Esp. Since I start work tomorrow.

Happy Holiday Week Fockers!

Kat- I hope your tummy feels better real soon, so you can head out and get your errands done.

V- The weekend sounds great. I know you will keep yourself busy over the next 2 weeks. Enjoy your break. You'll miss that little bug, but you definitely deserve some time to yourself. :)

Lori- Glad to hear school is going well. :thumbsup2

Dawn- I haven't read that series. What is it about?

Janet- How is the visit going?

MO- Good for you for taking a lunch! It is important to have a "breath" in the middle of the day!

CB- I hear you on the need to read. :rolleyes1 I have had to WILL myself to take a day off in between. I am going to read the 3rd book... starting today. ;)

TINK had swimming lessons today and we ran to the nursery. It's the end of the season for us, so everything is -50% off. I still have a ton of landscaping to do in this house (yes we've lived here for 6+ years). I am going to look over my plant beds and see what I can fill in with, then head back to pick some plants up tomorrow. :thumbsup2

I gave myself a break yesterday and didn't start Eclipse. Instead I spent a considerable about of time reading about the actors in the New Moon movie. :rotfl: I'm shocked at myself, how does a grown woman, mother of 2 get so drawn in? :cool2:

:wave2: Hi Fockers! I went MIA again.

Hi, Lori! Glad you'll get some company at home again soon!

My tummy is not cooperating still. I am dealing without the nausea feeling but spending too much time in the potty. Meh.

Hope you feel better, soon!

I haven't put in any annuals yet this year. :sad2: My mom gave me a gift certificate to a local nursery for Mother's Day (no, I don't get why) and I still have it hanging around. It's been too wet to want to mess in the dirt. :guilty:

What is this about lanyards? eh?

Just read this from Jim Hill Media. Kat, can you give us any inside info?
Im not quite sure what to think of this info? What do you think it would be like? some sort of interactive place more like build a bear etc?

i really didnt think i would like them, but as soon as i started book 1 i was hooked. I finished just in time for the movie to come out, which i proceeded to see alone. I now have several t shirts also.:rolleyes1 there are whole website dedicated just to twilight addicted moms.:rotfl: your definitely not alone!

My tummy has gotten really weird these days.
i really hope you feel better quick. That is definitely not what you need on your first day at work.

Im assuming you guys dont have a wardrobe department there.:rotfl: It really made the costume thing a lot easier. So what do you get to wear? Hopefully is beats my peanut butter button up shirt with huge shorts and boots that i had to wear. Although i did get a cool floppy hat.

Jo doesn't know who Draco Malfoy is, :sad2:
More proof I'm not British? :rolleyes1:rotfl2: And glad the alarm was a false alarm!

So sorry Jo  Could you get a sitter for the one night
The people who I'd ask are going plus it's a school night and people have clubs to run too etc! Glad you had a nice weekend and the new working hours sound a good idea, especially as you'll end up with more money :thumbsup2

Just talked to my cousin. She, my mom and I are hitting the casino (Harrah's in Chester) tomorrow. We are going to leave about 10am and who knows what time we will get home. Can't wait. I haven't been to a casino in a while so it should be lots of fun. Mu cousin goes alot:rolleyes: and has all kinds of comps so we will get eat for free. Told Jim and Jimmy they areon their own tomorrow...yea, they were diappointed:laughing:
Have fun and don't lose too much money :rotfl2:

Now he's gone. :sad1: Off to his dad's for two weeks - ugh.
