Hi, guys - not a lot of time, and with Field Day yesterday I missed the whole day (when you apparently decided to get chatty on me!

) so I'm not multi-quoting.
JenV - my dad, thinking he was having more kidney stones, actually had a lot of tests involving kidney function and so on and thankfully they caught a non-Hodgkins lymphoma. We all know that cancer sucks

but if he has to have it, this is not a horrible kind to have. It's treatable and survival rates are great. He's going through 6 rounds of chemo (no radiation) that are two days in one week, then 3 weeks off. They had said the first one would probably be really bad as far as reaction and so on, but it wasn't nearly as bad as he feared, and hopefully the rest will be not even that bad. He was worried about working on the farm all summer, but so far, while he is getting tired, he's able to do everything he needs to do.
And I can't believe that woman.
Jo - yep, the subbing would be paid, and I could always have the option of saying no, I'm busy, I can't do that today. I think it's ideal - IF I can figure out how to teach.
Mel - hope today is going better, and that NotBob gets home soon.
V - glad you loved your horses!
Janet - sorry about a busy day at work, hope today is not!
Hi, Rosie!
Hi, S'late - love the wedding pic and the one from 1976. I was there in 1977. I do indeed remember the E-tickets.
KJJ - seriously, if you look at the big meet photo in my signature (and some of the other ladies' also) I'm the giant in the back row.

There are a lot of shorties in our group.

T is tall, but not as tall as I am... So, I'm dying to meet another taller Focker - bring it on!
Kristel - thanks again for the update, hope your day goes well today!
Hi, Deb! I meant to say something more profound, but I'm losing it.
Dawn - so glad you're loving being "home"

and the costume is cool!
Hi, Heather! Hi, Margie!
Sorry if I missed anyone...
******************************************************
Field Day was fun yesterday, and it was gorgeous - after days of rain, and a 10 day forecast with, no joke, NO sun involved, it was lucky it was nice yesterday.
D seemed to have a good day on the boat, too.
No word yet on the car - the catalytic converter the workshop ordered from Saturn was the wrong one - D's car is a manual transmission, the converters are different than for automatic, but the part # is the same.

So, not even that was done, and so we don't know about the exhaust system. Maybe today. So, D is taking me to tennis and working out himself, then he'll probably leave me stuck at home in the afternoon (oh, no!

) while he goes out to do some work.
My laptop is now posted as "shipped" back to the
Best Buy, so D spent a lot of time last night playing on this one, to see if we want to keep it. It's so cheap that it's tempting, but it's also not got a lot of the stuff he wanted for his next computer. So, do we spend just under $300 now and have something that is just OK for another couple of years, or do we wait until next year and save the $300 towards something he really wants? His is so bad that I'm leaning toward getting this one as a stop-gap, but it might not make sense if it's not what he really wants.

And I think mine might come in today, so a decision is needed pretty soon.
Anyway, we need to head out to the gym. I'll be back this afternoon, seems like!
