Now I am totally confused

You said you didn't think you looked like us. Well from what I can see you are beautiful. So my question is...

Are you calling us ugly?

Hi Janet!!

No, you guys look so regal and dignified in your wedding photos-in every one of mine I'm either on the floor, laughing with cake coming out of my mouth, or laughing so hard you can see my fillings in my molars.

I have dignity issues!

That was two hours of hair and makeup, I had huuuuge false eyelashes and the makeup artist plucked out all my eyebrows (it really hurt!), and I didn't wear my glasses that day, so I really did feel/look like a princess that day-I just didn't ACT like one...

Oh and I was 23 in that photo, I'm almost 40 now, so when I look at that picture I see my younger daughter more than I see myself, now :)

Ok, I found a picture of myself the day after, just before we got on our honeymoon cruise. I'm normal looking, if weirdly tall...Why did nobody tell me that self-darkening glasses make you look like a dork? (I really do feel like a cross between Shaggy and Velma, most days)

13-16-2.jpg

KJJ I think your photos are great. It looks like you were having a lot of fun at your wedding which most people do not get to do.

I guess I am feeling a little chatty today. This is the most posts I have done in one day in a long time. Well you girls got me spelling "Focker" for so long that I finally got a Fokker F-28 part come in and wouldn't you know that I had to check the spelling like a hundred times everytime I typed it out  It just didn't look right and I had to check the customer's PO to see how they actually spelled it.

I also wanted to announce that I have turned off viewing siggies and avators so if you have something important in your siggie (like a new TR) please let me know. As a matter of fact if you are writing a TR and I am not already there please let me know. They are monitoring bandwidth at work and so I turned it off hoping they wont flag the disboards and ban me from it

Ok, here are two pictures from our wedding, circa 1993. We're a goofy bunch-the photos are from all of us doing the song "Rock Lobster" by the B-52's, where you have to sink to the floor. Some of us did it more gracefully than others :lmao:

From what I can see, you look lovely, and heck, it's great that you had a ball! :goodvibes

Hi, Janet. Bye, Janet. :wave2:

Are you calling us ugly?

:rotfl:

No, you guys look so regal and dignified in your wedding photos-in every one of mine I'm either on the floor, laughing with cake coming out of my mouth, or laughing so hard you can see my fillings in my molars.

I have dignity issues!

Nah, that's totally like me. ;) I just showed you a formal picture.

Ok, I found a picture of myself the day after, just before we got on our honeymoon cruise. I'm normal looking, if weirdly tall...

Still beautiful, are you kidding? :goodvibes

It just didn't look right and I had to check the customer's PO to see how they actually spelled it.

:rotfl2:

Yikes! Sounds smart to me...

Well, just as we were getting ready to go, D said, "Let me call the car place and then we'll leave," and the car was done! It was, thankfully, JUST the catalytic converter, not the whole exhaust system, so it was at least a little cheaper than the worst. Not cheap, mind you, but not as bad as it could have been.

So, I took him to get it, instead, and he drove himself to Panera. I went on to the grocery and just got back. We may still meet him out for dinner, though. ;)

We're going to the pool this afternoon and dance tonight. Fun day... :thumbsup2
Right you are! :)

OK, my turn to vent, as a pilot's wife:
 Nothing new to talk about with Caylee Anthony.

Another recent pet peeve of mine is wearing sunglasses inside the office. :cool2: Is this really necessary? We don't even have windows in our cell...er I meant cubicle.
Trying to be Whoopie Goldberg? :confused3

D would rather work at Panera than the library (able to make phone calls)
People make phone calls all the time at my library which is why I never go in!

Here's our wedding from 1997.

Glad it was just the converter.

Here's our wedding from 1997.
Beautiful :goodvibes

I forgot to mention that our AC went out again. They finally told me the coil needs to be replaced. It will cost $1080. I accepted it and told him to go ahead and get the coil on order for us. Then I asked when he could come out and replace it and he said Monday! I was more upset about the timing than the cost!

Did I mention I live in Alabama?

Well, I guess I haven't gone there yet either. :rolleyes1
And we're still waiting Jen!!!!

I'm the one in the middle in the beautiful striped one piece outfit (oh so easy for bathroom emergencies ), the other two girls are my cousins...can you find them in my wedding photo?
Awwww cute and lovely wedding photo too oh and I remember the chair lift things too, you can still see where they were opposite CHH

Oh good Jo, if you are coming anyway can you bring Jimmy some of those candies you gave him in August. He is still talking about them and when we go out he is always on the lookout for them. Do they sell them at EPCOT
:rotfl2: My sister has a shop near her in NY that sells Fruit Pastilles but they're ridiculously expensive!

See that's why I need to be on the mom's panel next year
Do you want to be? It's a lot more work than I thought!

Jo loved the wedding pix .. The church doorway is sooo English!!:lmao:
That's because it is :rotfl2:

Let's see...what do I remember? The night that we left (me and my mom) we went to the Ford place and daddy bought a new green van (Econo?), we went home, he threw a mattress in the back, loaded up me and my mom and sent us on our way. We stopped in Fayetteville to pick up my aunt and cousins. I guess we drove all night because I remember daylight and winning 25 cents for spotting the 1st Disney sign. I vaguely remember picking my dad up from the airport.
So you and your Mum drove and your Dad flew?

I didn't want to make my friends from my old town feel bad, so I didn't post that it was nice to be home on FB. But it so is... :cutie:
I'm so pleased

I just think I look kind of dorky in real life-I'm almost 6 feet tall and I always feel like a moose around petite people, although in my wedding photos my DH is 6'4" and the rest of my family are mostly 6 footers and over, so in the photos I actually look normal :rotfl2:.
I see CE has said but T and CE are very tall I'm 5'6 and felt tiny next to CE :rotfl2:

So, do we spend just under $300 now and have something that is just OK for another couple of years, or do we wait until next year and save the $300 towards something he really wants? His is so bad that I'm leaning toward getting this one as a stop-gap, but it might not make sense if it's not what he really wants.
We've decided never to buy an expensive laptop/pc again as they all end up going wrong!!!

Trust me - most of us are about as different from each other as is possible! It's why I love hanging with these folks; we're like the poster children for "We CAN all get along!"
So true

Now THAT's British! You should really give Jo some lessons Rosie. LY Jo!
Hey :headache::snooty: Good job I know you love me :rotfl2:

I hope everyone has a great Thursday!
Is that a new ticker I see????

Hi Hedy

I saw some of your pics on FB and all of them are adorable.
Hey Deb are you friends with Dawn on FB and not me???? :sad1::rotfl2:

OK, my turn to vent, as a pilot's wife:
Why do they do it?

I have a question. Why do kids not understand that when you are dirty you need a bath... Period? It doesn't matter how many baths you had the day before or even if you had one that morning. If you are dirty then you are dirty. If you took one thousand baths and then decided to play in the mud, well you are dirty. I am so sick of explaining this to them.
:rotfl2: and wooohooo on the job

I was not one of the graceful ones! I'm going to blame it on not wearing my glasses and couldn't see the floor clearly, lol...
Looks like you were having fun

Well, just as we were getting ready to go, D said, "Let me call the car place and then we'll leave," and the car was done! It was, thankfully, JUST the catalytic converter, not the whole exhaust system, so it was at least a little cheaper than the worst. Not cheap, mind you, but not as bad as it could have been.
Yay

Here's our wedding from 1997.
Lovely

Phew busy day, I went to my friends golf club, which is the oldest club in the World then home to pick Ellie up from school to go the rounders tournament. There were 5 teams and her's came joint second so pretty good, she was in bat 4 times and 3 times hit a fantastic shot but all 3 times she was caught out. Poor thing but at least she hit it :rotfl2: Then we had no food so literally ate bits and pieces then when the girls went to choir I nipped to the supermarket and am now shattered!

How's my peeps today?????

JV likes to live with drama vicariously. That is unless it’s about a certain 4 year old’s foot and a mean lady.:headache:

KICKAPOO is training a woman that has bo-obies that jingle. Other than that she is doing well. Kick’s house has been neglected because of her work schedule. Her dress is on pg.84, #1258. See that wasn’t so bad. Very nice! You want to see different look below.

DAWN is happy to be back in the old neighborhood. She missed some people more than she thought. Thanks for the kind words.

Hi HEDY!

SLATE’s dress is on pg 83, #1232. She posted a 1976ish photo from Disney #1234. She hates piano but has a Disney music book. I was there around that time. I don't remember anything but seeing the water parade from the Contemporary.

MEL wants everyone’s wedding photo. Glad you are doing better, smarty! ;)

JANET was busy at work and her sinuses are bad. How’s Jimmy doing in camp?

ROSIE thinks that ‘boiling in oil’ is a good punishment for mean people. Judy took a 2 mile walk! She is doing great!! Rosie wants to know if she can make multiple ressies in the same time frame. I kind of liked those Iron Maiden jobbies.

Dreamn posted a link for some free games for kids on pg. 83, #1240. How the heck are ya'??

CE had a great day yesterday with the field day. The car is fixed. They don’t know whether to keep the loner laptop or wait and buy a really nice one at the beginning of the year. CE says the news stations should be more responsible. :thumbsup2

V ate a bag of Cheetos and thinks something bit her arm. The Wii was not kind to her last night either. She hates being responsible. She has no faith in the Disney computer systems.

ANGELA says Reid is 2 today! Happy Birthday Reid!!! They’re having a swim party on Sat. Wedding dress above in #1264. Sounds like fun. You look fabulous.

HI SHARKY!

DEB says kids are pigs. Her A/C is on the fritz until Monday. She is trying to fly under the computer radar at work. She will have a quiet house until the weekend. Zeta might be getting a job closer to home. That’s wonderful. I’m sending good vibes. NJ girls are on Bravo Tuesdays at 9 or 10pm. However, they are wrapping up the season tonight, I think, with a season recap and Beotch session on Bravo at 9PM.

JO went to an old golf club. Ells played in a tournament with 5 teams and was batty but came in a joint second. Yeah, I don’t do golf, so I only know that she did good.

*****************************************************************

I didn’t have a ’formal’ wedding. I was already 32 and so over doing it that way. (No offense to any one.) We spent the money on the reception and a Vegas honeymoon. My dress was just a business-style suit with a skirt. It was white with some embellishments. Nothing fancy. I can say that I do still fit into it with room to spare.
scan0004-1.jpg

Rockie is on the left side of the pic and the guy to the far right is Doug's best friend. (One of the crazies you've heard about.) Other than that it was just our parents. Both he and I have so much extended family, it would have been nuts. 200 people were at the reception. About 100 more didn't show. It was casual and everyone had a good time.

OK, I have to get back upstairs and visit with the 'man' for a while before he goes to bed.

Have a good evening and morning.

Um... Lemme PM you :goodvibes

Thanks Kristel. I thought I was the only one who didn't understand that!

Lovely! I don't think I can fit in mine now! :confused3 My Dh and MIL wanted a wedding. I didn't have a preference either way so I did what they wanted. We had fun and the kids got to participate. Plus we went to Disney as a family one week later!

It's 98 degrees in my living room. I don't know if I can make it until Monday to get the ac fixed. I'm sweating just sitting her. It's too hot to clean and my house is DIRTY!

I decided to take Chi and Omicron out to dinner before meeting their dad for their two week visit. We went to cracker barrel and it was the worse meal ever. The food and service was great. But Omicron decided to pitch a fit the entire meal. I hated he left on such a bad note. He is also starting to say things like his dad and I am wondering if it is genetic or environmental or a combination of both. Suddenly I am worried about them spending two weeks with him.

My sister has a shop near her in NY that sells Fruit Pastilles but they're ridiculously expensive!
Publix here carries them in the Int'l isle but I don't remember how much they cost.

Phew busy day, I went to my friends golf club, which is the oldest club in the World
Awesome! Did you take any pictures?

We spent the money on the reception and a Vegas honeymoon.
That sounds like fun but there's no way my mother would have gone for that. How would all of her friends see me then?

I called Reid to wish him happy birthday. He was too busy playing to talk until Mooch came on the line. I'm ready for him to get out of his Mooch stage. :rotfl:

Glad it was just the converter.

Thanks, me, too. It still wasn't cheap, but it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

I was more upset about the timing than the cost!

 I'm sorry. We haven't even put ours in yet - the high was 62 today.

I felt so bad for Buzz at our last baseball game - he never hit the ball. I think you're right - they don't care if they get caught out, as long as they've actually hit it. ;)

Glad you had fun golfing, and we do "scrounge" dinner more than I like to admit. :rotfl2:

I didn’t have a ’formal’ wedding. I was already 32 and so over doing it that way. (No offense to any one.)

You look lovely, and I understand. Since we were living in TX, but had family mostly from IL, we decided on a big wedding to be able to see everyone. But there were certainly times when a less formal thing sounded good. ;)

We had to invite around 350 people and could only fit 250 in the reception hall. :rolleyes1 :lmao:With D's parents divorced and remarried - and both from big families - and me coming from a small town where my parents know and like everyone, plus they are very close to their own extended family... It was crazy. But it was fun - we had Dr. Belle's grandpa for our band. He's had a Big Band since 1942. Everyone had a blast. :thumbsup2

Ouch! That os a long time for no air. Do you have basements in your neck of the woods? Hopefully your state offers tax breaks for new AC's. They usually fall under energy efficiency. Check it out!
How's my peeps today?????

J
I didn’t have a ’formal’ wedding. I was already 32 and so over doing it that way. (No offense to any one.) We spent the money on the reception and a Vegas honeymoon.

So what your saying is that you took the money and RAN to Vegas for some FUN!? You go girl!
And we're still waiting Jen!!!!
:confused3
THose babies where so yummy Jo! I still have thoughts of how delish they were!

I'm ready for him to get out of his Mooch stage. :rotfl:
Awwww, but it's so darn cute!

------------------------------------------------

No run ins at the pool! The mean lady sat way up on top by the spectators area. :thumbsup2

My big event from today was a girlfriend emailed me and told me to get over to a really neat sample sale of kids clothes. So after all of our activities we drove over. OMyGoodness! They had the cutest stuff for TINK. Most was in size 5, which is what she is going into. They were all lines that are carried by, Nordstroms, SAKs and Bloomies. TINK was in heaven :cloud9:and wanted to buy everything! :scared: Everything was -50% off the the wholesale price and I scored! Best thing is that I am now on their email list and they are having another sale in Aug., which will be mostly fall items! :cool1:

DH has the kids outside and I'm going to head out with a bevy and and chat with some neighbors for a while. TTFN!

Kids are outside with hubby and I'm taking a break.

What a Day !!! :scared1:One of the consumers ran away this morning ! Had to call the Police they found her but she wouldn't get in the squad car cuz they wouldn' let her sit up front !!!!:laughing:OMG the paperwork that all entailed !!:sad2:

Oh, no, Rosie!

That's great that you have it back now. Did you eat at Panera for dinner?

No, we ended up at Friday's. ;)

Best thing is that I am now on their email list and they are having another sale in Aug., which will be mostly fall items! :cool1:

Cool! :thumbsup2

No ringing shirts today at work, Jan (replacement) is taking her DD to the American Idol tryouts today!

:lmao: How'd she make out?

Janet - sorry about a busy day at work, hope today is not!

No such luck!

Field Day was fun yesterday, and it was gorgeous - after days of rain, and a 10 day forecast with, no joke, NO sun involved, it was lucky it was nice yesterday.

Glad the weather was nice. We haven't seen any sun since last Thursday:sad2:

And I think mine might come in today, so a decision is needed pretty soon.

Did it show up?

Mine have somehow migrated to a couple different phone numbers, even though I made them all under a single number. Then again, WDW has me listed under no less than 2 names, 2 addresses, 3 phone numbers and 4 email addresses. I never know which profile they'll pull when I call; I just go along with whichever one they choose, lol!

Do I call to confirm them or just show up with my confirmation numbers and hope!:confused3

Something gigantic seems to have bitten me; my lower arm's all swelled up and itchy-owy.

Hope it's better

Today is Reid's 2nd birthday. pirate: We're having a swimming party here Saturday morning. Just us and one set of grandparents so it won't be a big deal. I'm baking cupcakes, chocolate per Reid, that's my nephew! Not much else going on this week which is good so I can hang out in the pool.

Happy Birthday Reid!

I'm not really worried about double bookings; that's always been available by using multiple phone numbers. I'm a lot more worried that Disney's computer functionality has been iffy as long as it's been around; I have little faith this new system is operating properly and have visions of it allowing a whole bunch more ADRs than restaurants can actually handle. I hope I'm proven wrong... but I'm now exploring off-site options for Aug.

Even the CM website has been screwy with all the changes they are making. My mother worked 10 hours last pay period. It was showing her direct deposit as $946. She gets paid $10.36 an hour:lmao: Unfortunately they put the right amount into her account:rolleyes:

I hope everyone has a great Thursday!

Hi Kate:wave: Glad your dad arrived safely!

:wave2:

We're going to the pool this afternoon and dance tonight. Fun day...

Hope it was a good one.

OK, my turn to vent, as a pilot's wife

I never saw the news but I got 4 CNN emails in a span of 5 minutes:confused3

Another recent pet peeve of mine is wearing sunglasses inside the office. Is this really necessary? We don't even have windows in our cell...er I meant cubicle.

:lmao: I laugh becasue I wore mine in the office all day yesterday. They are prescription and I forgot my regular glasses!

Are you calling us ugly?[?QUOTE]

Wow, I wish they'd do something like that here!

=========================================

Busy at work again, then I had to leave early becasue Jimmy had a doctor's appointment. He's had a seal bark cough going since the weekend and a massively runny nose. The doctor confirmed my suspicions...he has a sinus infection. She gave him Ziothromax and said he is ok to go to camp tomorrow as long as he is feeling up to it. I think he'd kill us if he tried to keep us home.

I just took a Tylenol PM SInus so I won't be here much longer.

Hope everyone has a good night!

No, we ended up at Friday's. ;)
I haven't been there is years! Hope it was yummy!

Oh No! I hope you don't have it too. Lets hope that Jimmy is feeling and sounding better with a few doses of Rx.

I came in from outside, as NO ONE is out! :confused3 It's a gorgeous night and I thought about sitting out and reading...then I thought...I'd rather come back and hang out on the DIS.

I'm still shocked with how quiet it has been around here. :confused3
