Poor Jimmy, I feel for him. I think mine and ds's are the worst we have ever had. poooo!

I actually had to give him breathing treatments last night and this morning. FIrst time we've had to do that in 2.5 years:sad2:

Day number 3!

:woohoo:

Good morning!
Well I made it back from the happiest place on earth and I think I have the post Disney blues.

 Welcome Back! The question is...you made it back, but did all the kids!;)

We enjoyed a lovely Sunday... spent the morning at the pool, where I taught Leo how to tread water and he swam all the way across the pool - in the GASP deep end! - for the first time! He's totally motivated by the prospect of being able to do some water slides in WDW come August.

Go Leo:yay:

Yep, that's my story and I"m sticking to it!

SOunds like a good story to me ::yes::

Sorry for being MIA these past few days. I was spending time with the kiddos and trying to get them all packed up before they left to go with their father for the summer. They left this morning around 5 and I just talked with the ex and they are almost near Nashville. They are spending the summer in Loisianna. It will be a whole new world for the kids being down there. I know it was for me the first time we went there. They'll have lots of fun though.

Am I putting out an over/under line on when he brings then back????;)

And WOW for the 8000 mile walk.

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Nobody else is THAT crazy.

:headache:

Hope everyone's having as good a Monday as possible!

Hi CE :wave2: Hope it's nothing 2 serious with D's car! Yay for only a week left of school:woohoo:

Not much going on here today. Laundry...and my dad is coming on Wednesday for his quarterly visit  So I'll be cleaning the guest room and mentally preparing ;)

Hope everyone has a great Monday!
:flower3:

You too Kate!:goodvibes

It's only paperwork but I can't shake the whole "I work for Disney" thing!!!

:yay:Have fun!

Not flying, we are driving to Toledo which is where our relatives live and then Cedar Point is about an hour drive from there. I have only been once but that was back when I was really little so I don't really remember it at all. I just remember Alek throwing a fit because he wasn't tall enough to go on the coasters.

I've never been, but alot of my college friends who lived in Pittsburgh went every summer. They loved it!:confused3

.......workin' on the video! :lmao:

:thumbsup2

YES, I said BUTT BOW. I don't know what I was thinking. I think it weighed 50 pounds. :faint: Oh and the petticoat was sewn into it, so yes it really did stand up on it's own. They had to put it over a chair, so I could climb from the bed to the chair and then get down. It was a riot!

It was pretty T...but a BUTT BOW:eek::lmao:

============================================

I'm actually bored at work today. I don't want to say it to loudly though becasue as soon as I do all heck will break loose.

Here is a little tidbit from the Slantinel about the new character greeting wtih the characters from Up..for those of you who actually liked this REALLY BAD MOVIE!;)

Up Characters Meet and Greet

Also a little something from another website about Stitch's SuperSonic Celebration:

Stitch's SuperSonic Celebration at the Magic Kingdom is expected to close within the next two weeks. The show has only been open for around 6 weeks, but has failed to win over audiences. The main criticisms voiced on our discussion forums and review pages are the total lack of shade for the guests and a poor story line. It isn't clear yet what changes will be made to the show, but with the facility that was built, you can expect some kind of rework or new show to appear quickly.

Ok... you guys asked for it! :lmao:

Oh, I don't think it's that bad! You look lovely. :)

Hi CE :wave2: Hope it's nothing 2 serious with D's car! Yay for only a week left of school:woohoo:

Thanks. Me, too - he thinks it could just be a muffler issue. Let's hope.

This is the last full week, but they do go next Monday and half-day on Tuesday; we're getting there. :thumbsup2

********************************************
The boys just got home from school, and Woody is in a mood. Sigh.

D had no idea when he was leaving, and I tried the super tracker website that they use for planning, and I can't find him. :lmao: I see a plane sitting at "home", the one that's in for maintenance, and two heading for Seattle, but not his. :confused3 I may try to call to see if he's left yet or what. ;)

It just makes a difference for whether I'll make a full out meal for dinner, or something just more like mac & cheese. :rolleyes1:rotfl:

Hi Gang!

JO provided an interesting link about the booking popularity of WDW restaurants, pg. 74, post #1107. Very interesting! They tried to paint the kitchen but went for an 8K walk instead.

HEDY is back to work.

JV - Thanks, I did veg out in front of the TV the rest of the night after we got back from eating.

SLATE had a rough time mowing in the NC heat with a push mower. YIKES! She found out what you look like when you don’t get the sunscreen evenly distributed. I did that a couple of weeks ago with the sunblock. I wear gloves when I dig, so I am getting lines at my wrists. We'd make a fine pair.

ANGELA - We have a lot of restaurants but I didn’t want to dress up or put on any makeup. Sonic fit the bill. No one had to look at me but Doug and the 15 year old that brought out the food. I almost went in my PJs. Then I thought, “What if we are in an accident?” How embarrassing would that be??!!:lmao:

TE’s yard has to have industrial strength equipment to mow the rocks. She says xyzal is working for her allergies. (Where do they come up with these drug names?)

T has a Vegas-style wedding dress that she is willing to donate to a good cause. Pics pg. 76, post #1139 You look beautiful. Who cares if you kind of had the 'rock star' thing goin' on?

JANET just chilled last night. Jimmy’s 1st day of camp was today. His allergies have been bad. She reports that that bad movie she just saw, Up, has characters at WDW. Also, Stitches new venture has bombed. I wish I could say that was a surprise.

KAT’s get together for True Blood was just one other couple. She had fun. Today she is at the paperwork session for WoD. I hope it went well!!!

DEB is back! Welcome home! It is never long enough, is it??

V says Leo swam into the deep end of the pool.:woohoo:

LESSA is going to Cedar Point in July. I’ve been there once. It is a roller coaster mecca. Since it is seasonal, it is always crowded. Going during the week is better than the weekends. Staying on property is expensive with the only benefit being early entry to the park which you can walk to. Storms can blow in quickly so take ponchos. The water park is included. It’s not bad. I can’t remember whether the food was expensive or not. Since it is owned by the same company that owns Kings Island I’m sure it is. Doug and I bought a shake and onion rings while we were at KI a couple of weeks ago. The total was $24. The portions were normal size. Just be prepared to wait in line for up to an hour for the more popular rides. Is that enough?

LORI’s kids are headed to Louisiana. The updates are every couple of pages or so. Just look for the big blue lettering.

CE says D is having car problems now. She’s planning the year-end party for the kids. Sorry about the car. When it rains, it pours.

SHARKY is getting ready for a visit from her dad.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I work tonight. Tomorrow we go to see Doug's Neuro Dr. in Indy. I'll be going into work late.

Have a good night, everyone!

Ok... you guys asked for it! :lmao:

This is just a snap shot from someone's camera. My professional photos are put away. That dress is frightening! :scared: See all the lace applique? I had them add MORE bling to those. And the train is INSANE! I had crystals added to all the way up to the butt bow. YES, I said BUTT BOW. I don't know what I was thinking. I think it weighed 50 pounds. :faint: Oh and the petticoat was sewn into it, so yes it really did stand up on it's own. Yes, yes I did have a few glasses of champagne before heading down the 2 mile aisle. :rolleyes1
I adore my sister-in-laws, I'm a very lucky woman. BUT they were married in '90, '92, and '93. We recently found a photo of Mickey&Minnnie (brother and DSIL, obvs) at their wedding in '93. Minnie is 5" only in sneakers, poor thing looked like her dress was going to eat her.

Good luck Kat, maybe I'll see you the next time I'm at WoD in NYC.

 Welcome Back! The question is...you made it back, but did all the kids!;)

I think they all did. I didn't actually count them this morning.

Thanks for the info. Not surprised about the Stitch show. Would love to see the UP characters though

Mine is bigger in pouf than I might have guessed - knowing my rather tomboy style, but there's no bling. I got married in 2000, though, so it's just not quite as, um, big. And I'm tall. ;)

Evening All !! I made my Sept. ressies check out my PTR !!( Shameless plug) Waiting on a friend to come over to help her with her ressie that she can make tomorow !! Theother friend who is going before us hasn't made hers , but she is relying on this other friend who I don't think understands FREE DINING means scarce ADRS !! Oh well not my problem!!! At least Jenny is doing it today to be ready for tomorow !!

:tiptoe: Anybody here???

Long lost Focker checking in.... :flower3:

:rolleyes1 Wonder if anyone remembers me....

At least it will give me something to do instead of sitting around this oh so quiet house by myself and the dogs.
When it's just the cats and me, they follow me around the house, so I think they want conversation. ;)

LOL!! It wasn't my choice. My ex was going there so that is where i went. I hated it and keep very little affiliation with it.
You and Brett Favre. :thumbsup2

I hope that works out! Don't try the trampolining on him, though. :rolleyes1 :rotfl:
Except that the owner is a woman and I'm too old to go there. :rotfl:

We are beginning to accept that the van is going to need replacing within the next year - we didn't want his car to go, too.
My sister just got a Mazda CX7 and loves it. :thumbsup2

...and my dad is coming on Wednesday for his quarterly visit  So I'll be cleaning the guest room and mentally preparing ;)
Good luck with that! I so know how you feel. ;)

Hello all...drive by while I have 15 extra minutes before I leave. I will surely get there stupid early but thats better than late , right? I am slightly excited. It's only paperwork but I can't shake the whole "I work for Disney" thing!!!
:dance3:

I just remember Alek throwing a fit because he wasn't tall enough to go on the coasters. :rotfl:
Not your brother! :lmao:

That picture is way too small to see if you're serious, I'm sure you're not, but you look beautiful. :goodvibes I did take the butt bow off my dress and my mother made it into a pillow that she gave me two years ago. We got married in 1997!

We have wine & cheese for dinner all the time. Maybe some salami or pepperoni if Mitch needs meat with his carbs.

I have this conversation with myself often! :rotfl2:

:rotfl: I could not tell you the last time I wore stockings. The only reason I buy them is to vacuum the pool!

Sunday... spent the morning at the pool, where I taught Leo how to tread water and he swam all the way across the pool - in the GASP deep end!
Go Leo! Sounds like a fabulous way to spend a Sunday.
so we gave up and went for a walk. An 8K one no less :faint: Up loads of hills, I did take photos so I'll try and upload them later :thumbsup2
You go girl! Is the weather nice over the pond?

Good Morning everybody!

So have any of you ever been to Cedar Point?
I have never been, but have watched some of those roller coaster thrill shows on the Travel Channel. It looks super fun. I bet the brothers will like it!
I started a new book Afraid by Jack Kilborn so I'm going to get in the pool and try to finish it.
That's the way to stay cooled off. Now don't drop the book.;)
Hi Fockers!

Sorry for being MIA these past few days.
Hey... I've been MIA for a few months, don't sweat a few days kiddo!
I posted on your FB page... what are you going to school for?

Are you nervous to be without the munchkins for a few months?

Wow, you're dedicated. Jodi's been super, super busy - keeps saying on FB she'll try to get back over here, but...
We've chatted it up a couple of times on FB. I was thinking she would find her way back before me. I am wrong. :confused3 I sent out the smoke signal to come home. ;)
H

D & I watched "Burn After Reading" - which was OK, but could have been better - and then went to bed a little earlier than usual, as he had an early show time this morning.
I was so excited to see that movie... and hated it. bummer!
Thanks T! You didn't look bad. :)
I actually had to give him breathing treatments last night and this morning. FIrst time we've had to do that in 2.5 years:sad2:
That is no good! Did you give him any preventative Rx's before he headed out. I think it is a really bad year! For us we have had little rain, which I think is causing the allergies to be bad.
_________________________________________________________
A few pages back I reintroduced myself to the new focker friends. If you missed it~

I'm Jen! Sometimes referred to as pjv. Other times Jen1 (when Jen2 is around... I miss her!) I am a SAHM of 2 wonderful kids (aren't they all?) I volunteer a lot... too much this last year. In about March it all came to a crash and I had too much on my plate and I haven't been here much since. But I'm back for the summer! Hopefully the school year too. I no longer am the Chair of the Parent Council (Like PTA, but for PreK). I am devoting this next school year to hanging out with my TINK, before she leaves me for Kindergarten. This summer I am carting kids around for 2 weeks... then the rest of the summer is ours to enjoy! (besides VBS & a few misc. things.) I look forward to getting to know all your newbies!

I am excited that we made it home before dinner. Carting kids around all day is tiring. Being up until 2 trying to catch up here was even more exhausting! Once your get sucked in, it so darn hard to get out!

DS is playing Pokemon on his d.s. and TINK just came in with a MAJOR freak out... screaming at the tops of her little lungs... holding her left arm. I could barely make out what she was hyperventilating about... but I did... seems she picked at a eczema spot and a teeny... I mean tiny speck of BLOOD:scared1: was on her arm. You seriously would have thought that her arm was cut in half with the screams that came from her. :scared: After 5 minutes of nearly passing out... I got her to calm down. I turned on the good old Disney World show from the travel channel. Thank goodness for DVR's!

Evening All !! I made my Sept. ressies check out my PTR !! !!

Hi, Rosie! Woohoo!

:tiptoe: Anybody here???

Ah, sorry. Bad me for assuming. :sad2: ;)

My sister just got a Mazda CX7 and loves it. :thumbsup2

::yes:: That's on my short list!

That's a little frightening! :rotfl:

:lmao:I called, and he was still on the ground, but it doesn't explain why the plane didn't show up on the map. Oh, well.

We have wine & cheese for dinner all the time. Maybe some salami or pepperoni if Mitch needs meat with his carbs.

That sounds good to me. I had a tuna salad sandwich, made mac & cheese for the kids.

I was so excited to see that movie... and hated it. bummer!

I didn't hate it, but expected more.

but I did... seems she picked at a eczema spot and a teeny... I mean tiny speck of BLOOD:scared1: was on her arm. You seriously would have thought that her arm was cut in half with the screams that came from her. :scared:

I'm so sorry, but it's kind of funny from the outside. :rotfl2:

you MUST pass my love on to the Fockers

I told her she was being missed.

You know, I wish I had *listened* to my new Fokker Friends when somebody posted about how she hated Up!

We met up with some friends who have a son our daughters' age-ish (he's 9) and a 5 yo dd. We've been to Disney with them so we though, hey, let's all get together on saturday night and go see Up. I *almost* said, hey, maybe we see Night At The Museum instead, but all the reviews in Entertainment Weekly were A's for Up, it was making a loooot of money, so we went.

HATED IT HATED IT HATED IT HATED IT HATED IT HATED IT HATED IT!!!!!!!!

Ok, here's the spoiler alert, skip if you still want to see the movie.

1. Cried through most of the movie, it was really, really sad. And I mean sadder than Dumbo or Bambi ever were.

2. Adults laughed more than the kids. At a kid's movie.

Themes dealt with at length:

1. Loss of a baby

2. Childlessness (not by choice)

3. Loss of a cherished spouse

4. Bitter regret

5. Parental abandonment

6. Death

Yeah, I'm like, *** is Pixar doing making Terms of Endearment for the CGI and diaper crowd! :furious:

Oh, let's add to that the kid in the film, Russell, is chased by a terrifying villain with a SHOTGUN who repeatedly shoots at him, ties him to a chair and shoves him off a blimp in a quite obvious attempt to murder a child, and dies a graphic and horrible death as we watch his face as he plummets to the earth. The adults all had a powwow about halfway through about whether to bail on the movie and jump over to NATM and watch that instead, but it wasn't feasible. All four of us were thoroughly pissed. The nice old couple sitting three seats down from us bawled loudly through the entire film! :scared1:

Let me add that there was a complete lack of Joy in this movie-unlike Ratatouille, where Remy found Joy in cooking and you felt his delight-you never felt delight because there WAS no delight. You laughed at the dog with the translator collar (Squirrel!), the first twenty times, but there was no joy. The balloons, which should have been soooooooo symbolic of joy, were nothing, NOTHING but inflated rubber spheres. I mean, jeez.

Ok, I'm off my soapbox. At least I didn't pay extra to watch it in three d. :3dglasses

I'm glad you posted this. I haven't wanted to see the movie at all, but was starting to wonder if I should since (almost) everyone thought it was great. I'll stick to my original decision. ;)

I don't want to push, and to each his own, but I totally disagree with KJJ - just keep in mind that many of us loved it. I promise, my kids did, too. The elements in the list she posted are there, but frankly, they're there in nearly EVERY Disney movie - you can look at The Lion King and see many of the same elements. (Trying to kill the "kid", characters falling to their death, Death, etc.)

There are many, many funny moments, too, and some super touching ones. I definitely thought there was "joy" in the outcome. Just my $.02 - no offense intended to those who don't like it. :goodvibes

The boys just got home from school, and Woody is in a mood. Sigh.

Hope he snapped out of it!

I work tonight. Tomorrow we go to see Doug's Neuro Dr. in Indy. I'll be going into work late.

Thanks! They took a long bubble bath, and he seemed happier. He was a little whiny about heading to bed, but it wasn't awful. :)

I looked for one of mine, but they're all on the external hard drive since I don't have my computer. I was too lazy to go into the office. :lmao:
