but Where are all my girlfriends? If it's been quiet, how come?

End of school activities, nice weather, busy at work...the normal things that slow thing down around here at this time of year!

Janet- Are you sending him to sleep away camp or a day camp? How long is it?

It is a day camp. IT is at the same place he goes to after school care. He is going for 2 weeks, but could go until the last week in August if I wanted him too. He is only going until Jim is done school for the summer. At $250 a week, I'll take the break ::yes:: Plus I think the break will be good for him. He can ride his bike, swim or whatever he wants. A real summer vacation!:thumbsup2

We just got home from church. I'm going to go back to serving on the worship team starting this week, so I'll be gone a lot on Sundays. I'm excited, though. I missed singing with my friends.

That's great Dawn:goodvibes

Here's a picture of a cute little project I worked on yesterday.

Saw it on FB but very cool!:thumbsup2

=================================================

Guest room is done. Boy did I have a lot of crap in there. 1/2 of it went into the garage sale pile. The other 1/2 went into the trash. I need to figure out what the heck to do with my wedding dress. All it is doing is taking up space. Jimmy's room is next.

BBL!

Expensive... But it will be really fun, I'm sure!

BBL!

Do you think you'll ever want the dress for something? If not can you sell it or use the fabric and have something made of it?

Tried to figure out BBL! Took me a while, but I finally did!

T- That is amazing that you have such a short summer break. We are getting a longer one this year because we have a state law that we can't start back until after Labor Day (Labor Day is late this year). I wonder if you get more days off during the school year?
Don't know if we'll get more days off. I'm hoping to get out earlier in June next year. I think we'll do WDW in June '10.

I can use DVC points for DLR hotels, but they've built a DVC here, so I'll use my points there. Next week is the first day to book if it's not your home resort.

We're working on getting the pool opened today. I'm exhausted - need food. Pronto! ;)

My friend came and pumped up my AC with some more freon and fixed a couple wiring issues; I'm good to go until the ancient compressor craps out completely. But he's keeping an eye out for a good, cheap replacement for me, too. :thumbsup2
Cool!!!!

Maddie's last day is Wednesday and Evan is Thursday. We go back on Sept. 2! Does not seem long enough! :confused3
You call that short????? We get 7 weeks this year and that's a week longer then normal :rotfl2:

Sweet stiff? :rotfl2: Yeah, mind went right to the gutter there, Jo. :rotfl2:
:sad2: :rotfl2:

What did I miss? Listen to what? :confused3
Some DVC webcast and if you sign up to listen you get goodies!

First Jo is just trying to be like me with TYPOS!!! We have to stick together us BRITS!!!!:rotfl2:
We sure do :rotfl2: And it's great about Judy!

He has swimming in the morning so he wears his bathsuit, pool shoes, and a Tshirt in the morning and I have to send in a change of clothes, a towel, suncreeen, and a comb. That's it. I love the no packing lunch thing!:thumbsup2
Sounds great but pricey!

well.....did you get the DVC yet or do you need some of Jo's sweet stiff? ;)
Hey :eek::rotfl2:

We made it home last night and although I am glad to be home, I wish we could have stayed longer. Mitch was in meetings much longer than I anticipated, so maybe next year I won't go. The owner of the management company and I were talking about where to have future meetings, and I'm working on GF or The Poly. :rolleyes1 I'll let you know how that works out.
Ooooh sounds good :thumbsup2

Hey ALl, I just updated my PTR...just saying;):rolleyes1
:thumbsup2

We had our neighborhood block party last night and I am DONE IN today. After sitting outside at our park, my allergies kicked my butt. I was up all night trying get both the allergies and asthma under control. DH was about to take me to the ER. This AM was a tough start, but I am relaxing and hope they get under control soon.
Sounds good but tiring!

We just got home from church. I'm going to go back to serving on the worship team starting this week, so I'll be gone a lot on Sundays. I'm excited, though. I missed singing with my friends. :cutie:
I'm so pleased!

I need to figure out what the heck to do with my wedding dress. All it is doing is taking up space. Jimmy's room is next.
Mine is in a box in the loft/attic it was folded nicely by the dry cleaners so has never even been out of the box because I don't want to ruin it, why am I keeping it though?????

Well I won my golf, pretty well too 5&4 but the other 4 in my team lost so we're out :sad1:

Weekend in review:

ROSIE says Judy is doing much better with the exception of some internal combustion issues. They had to put Steph in lockdown. I glad to here that Judy is doing so well.

HEDY is busy with family and friends.

KAT made homemade pizza and cleaned. I hope the party went well.

JANET and her gang had yard work, cleaning and T-ball. Jim’s b-day was Saturday. She’s getting Jimmy ready for camp. She taking care of rubbish in the house. Keep, Throw out and Sale items are being separated accordingly. I saw an add on the TV yesterday for junk pickup and removal. I looked at Doug and said that's who I'm hiring when you die. He said he doesn't have any junk. :rotfl2:

SLATE is DisneyM0M on FB.

JO made a SUPER sweet goodie yesterday. Have you eaten any of it yet?

JV has returned and is trying to catch up. They had a block party last night. She is wiped out by allergies. Glad to see you back!

KICKAPOO is being called a bully by bullies on another DIS thread. She enjoys ‘Wipeout’. Her DH gets to work more from home.

T says Hi. She is in planning mode. They can stay in the Grand Californian Villas in October. :woohoo:

V says Up was wonderful. A lot of it was ‘over’ Leo’s head. :3dglasses

ANGELA is “Jonesin’” for Mitches future meetings to be held in WDW. :rolleyes1

DAWN made a nice topiary, Pictured above in PP.

Friday night at work was busy.
Yesterday Doug and I worked on the back yard some more. We borrowed his mom's JD with the front loader to dig down 12" for the aggregate base. Of course the JD can't fit into some of the smaller areas which meant more shoveling for me. 5 hrs in the hot sun. Plus the humidity was high. I was soaked through with sweat.

So much for the movie and dinner. I had a beer, took a shower, through on some clothes, waited on him to do the same, then we headed to Sonic for a quick meal. I was drained. I didn't even try to chat here. Sounds like it was down anyways. I'm soar all over today.

He's finishing up out there today without my help. It's humid again and 80 degrees. He is about done.

I have to head to work in an hour and a half. I don't know if we will be busy or not. Thought I'd say hi now and get the update in. It looks like everybody had a good weekend. :goodvibes

 to all! Chat at you tomorrow.

I need to figure out what the heck to do with my wedding dress. All it is doing is taking up space.

I donated mine to the Goodwill. I did keep my veil, and ring bearer pillows (they were my mothers originally, just new fabric ;)) I figured no way Maddie would want to wear it, it was so non-traditional. Can you say 90's bride?:lmao:

All gone :rotfl2:

Wow you're going to get so fit :thumbsup2

It'll come back in fashion all the clothes from when I was young have done so wedding dresses will too :rotfl2:

This makes interesting reading about the most popular ADR's in Disney, I wouldn't have thought Coral Reef would be higher than CRT  Click here

Back at work today. Mom gets home from FL tomorrow. Between she being gone and the guest, the cats have been batty all weekend.
Dawn-I'm so glad you're joining that group.

Wonder how often they called? Interesting!

T- How bad could the dress be? It's not that old!

Jo- What did you make?

Kristel- I hope you get some rest after all of that hard work in the sun!

Jo- What did you make?
Do you mean yesterday? If so it was a cheesecake type pudding, cookie base with white chocolate and double cream (heavy?) and a few other little ingredients all whipped together. I then topped it with fresh raspberries from my garden. It was nice but very sweet and that's saying something coming from me :rotfl2:

Hey, no kidding! I attempted to mow our 3/4 acre 21" at a time with our push mower. I was going out just to mow a little then put on sun block....1.5 hours later, I remembered the sunblock. :headache: But the bad part is that I didn't get it on everywhere so I'm splotchy, partially burned, have a farmer's tan, sock lines and itchy because I got bit 5 times by ants...on the front and back of my neck (weird). Now I look like I have a hickey, some sort of skin disorder, and scratched by the devil.

I gave him a GPS! He's been playing with it all day:lmao:
I got one for Christmas which Mitch thought I so didn't need. Guess who used it all the way to Atlanta. :rolleyes1

Fortunately my mom has decided not to quit just yet and dad is going seasonal.
Jim doesn't need to know this, does he? ;)

Oh no! I hope you're feeling better now.

I love it! :goodvibes How did you do it?

I need to figure out what the heck to do with my wedding dress.
Store it at your mother's? That's where mine is. :thumbsup2

Well I won my golf, pretty well too 5&4 but the other 4 in my team lost so we're out :sad1:
:headache: Do you get coverage of the Fed Ex golf tournament in Memphis? The course is right behind my parents house.

So much for the movie and dinner. I had a beer, took a shower, through on some clothes, waited on him to do the same, then we headed to Sonic for a quick meal.
:rotfl: When Mitch was still in college, we went to Sonic on lots of dates! Only partly because of the price. Oxford, Mississippi didn't have the widest selection of restaurants back then.

Wait!!!

I think this is where it all went wrong. PUSH Mower? Wow! I am totally impressed that you even try to use it! You go girl! Hope you're feeling better after a nice rest.

PUSH mower??? :scared:

Sweetie, we (and by that I mean "he") has to mow our yard with a tractor----and I mean our FARM tractor! He tried to mow with a riding lawn mower---took 4 hours and broke a blade on all the rocks!

+++++++++++++

Well, I gave goat shots today---always an adventure. Sugar, my "physically challenged" goat, keeps getting weird problems.....and the others butt her all the time. I feel sorry for her but she doesn't like to be by herself either.

Max is doing better---keeping him away from Bear which is hard.

++++++++
Someone mentioned allergies---my doctor put me on XYZAL last week (it's a super Zyrtec) and I am doing much better. Worth a try.

______________
Has anyone seen Jen/G-luv??

T- How bad could the dress be? It's not that old!
It's from 1994! The thing is so incrusted with bling, pearls and sequins, it could stand on it's own. Nope, I'm not kidding! :scared:

Hey, no kidding! I attempted to mow our 3/4 acre 21" at a time with our push mower.
Como SAY WHAT??? :worship:
And this is why I don't do yard work. ;)

Ah... I think we are birds of a feather, Angela..... tanning, pooling, anti-yard work....:teeth:

It's
LAKER TIME!!!
Baby!!!!:banana::banana::cool1::cool1:

I am going to have to look into that drug. Is it new? I currently do Zyrtec, Nasonex or flonease & patenal. They aren't cutting it!

I miss Jen!

Ouchie! You were really the blingster weren't you?!? You go girl!

My DH took the kids to the beach and I have had the afternoon in peace. I have been catching up here & made myself a nice meal and glass of wine and it feels great!

Expensive... But it will be really fun, I'm sure!

It;s actually one of the cheapest around here:scared:. He is really excited about going. HE gets to swim every day, so he will have a ball!

Don't know if we'll get more days off. I'm hoping to get out earlier in June next year. I think we'll do WDW in June '10.

THe public schools here are done June 23rd for the kids and Jim has to go until the 25th. Jim goes back Sept 1st and Jimmy goes back on the 8th!:sad2:

WIll check out after Jimmy is in bed!

:worship:

I got one for Christmas which Mitch thought I so didn't need. Guess who used it all the way to Atlanta. :rolleyes1

I thought it would be a good thing to have when we are visiting in August. THis way my mother doesn't have to meet us at the airport to lead us to Pop Century:thumbsup2

Jim used it to day to go to CVS, which is around the corner:rolleyes:

Jim doesn't need to know this, does he? ;)

Store it at your mother's? That's where mine is. :thumbsup2

There house is so small it would take up their whole guest room:lmao:

Well, I gave goat shots today---always an adventure.

Ahhhhh, that explains the goat wrestling!:rotfl2:

My DH took the kids to the beach and I have had the afternoon in peace. I have been catching up here & made myself a nice meal and glass of wine and it feels great!

Sounds fabulous.

-------------------------------------------------

Taking Jimmy up for bath and bed in a few minutes. After that I think we may just go chill out on the back porch for a few minutes.

In Jim's defense, I liked using my GPS to go to CVS because I got used to what ".1 of a mile" was.
I've never used it, but Mousesavers has some POI you can load onto your GPS for WDW locations.

Kat- What kind of cookies did you end up making?

peanut butter and peanut butter choc chip. it was a mix with soema dd in, don't tell, it'll ruin my rep! :)

*************************
So the mini party turned into only another couple coming over, which was fine. I made my artichoke/spinach/mushroom bake and added chicken too. it came out yummy. we chatted and watched True Blood.

Anyone else see it? Great stuff! I am excited to watch it again to pay more attention to it tho, since we chatted through some of it.

I am off to bed because tomorrow afternoon I have my "new hire" paperwork session at World of Disney! I'm am excited! I was told it a group thing so I get to meet other new hires!

Afterwards I am headed out somewhere with pants then to pick KC up from work around 7pm.

See you all tomorrow after I sign my soul away to Walt. :goodvibes
