Thanks for the update Kristel!!! I have been super busy!! After my exhausting Sex Training !!:lmao:I had to work on all the end of month stuff that is soooo time consuming , everything has to be accounted for and reported etc etc !!:scared1:I did my usual bargain shopping this week !!Then helped Judy with the flower beds !!:) She did a great job and we no longer look like the getto garden of the block!! My job was to point out the weeds !!:lmao: I am also busy planning Sept. which is hard cuz they al think it is to early and won't help!! Can you believe I can make my ressies in 14 :banana:days !!!!!

Disney cruise....sorta Disney-ish. I wish I could make a stop at the parks before or after. We'll see if I can convince my friend. :p Maybe if it stops raining we could hit up a Water Park. :D
So I'll see you next week guys!! don't be too chatty! :sail:

Have a great time!!!!!

Hey guys! I'm back!

The trip was great! Had so much fun! I can't wait to sort through all my pictures and video and share it with you all. If you are on the fence about a Disney cruise I say you should definitely do it! :thumbsup2

Unfortunately for me I brought home a lovely illness as a souvenir. Not quite sure what I have yet, hoping it is just a cold, as it is though I have almost completely lost my voice. :sad2: I sound like an old lady! :lmao:
Welcome back, I'm headed to your TR shortly. Hope you feel better!!

I forgot to mention - one of the previews from Up had all these kids singing and dancing, so I looked at D and said, "They're not re-making Fame, are they?:scared1:"

The answer is, yes, they are. www.generationfame.com

:sad2:

:rotfl2:

Why?! I don't get it. Why can't Hollywood come up with NEW ideas anymore? It's either remake a classic awesome movie OR let's use a book series and make it a film/show.

**********************
Just popping in. Been reading most of the day in the soft recliner. My back is still stinky, better but not great still. I am onto the last and newest Sookie book so I am anxious as heck to finish it!!! Then I am onto the newest Anita Blake (Laurell K Hamilton).

We didn't do much of anything this weekend at all. A friend and his chica came by last night for a while, that was fun. But otherwise we sat around adn I tried not to do too much.

Tuesday my old friend is coming into NYC and after seeing her KC & I are going to see UP. So I am resting up for that.

Hope you all had a great weekend! Off to catch up on threads and get the heck out of this uncomfortable chair!

Why can kids never find stuff and we find it straight away? :headache::rotfl2:
In my case, it's because the kids look for everything straight ahead at eye level. :sad2: No joke, it could be lying at their feet, and they'd never look down. :rotfl2:
Same here. Delta, God bless him, looks for things floating in the air in front of him. And when you say look around he just spins in circles.

:thumbsup2 WTG Omicron! Sorry about the whole party thing though. That was so silly of them. Can you take pics of your Tink bags and post, please? It's always fun to see what special little things that little fairy is bringing the kids.
There is a pic in my TR in my siggie :thumbsup2

Hiya Fockers!! :wave2:
Hi LL!

Alek came over in the morning and we hooked the camera up to the tv and showed Erich and Alek all of our vacation photos. The count right now is at 3929, those are just my pictures. I haven't touched mom's camera yet and the photopass pictures are still being worked on.
Yikes! Thats a lot of pictures!

DEB finished up T-ball. Omicron is a star player! They had a “It’s over” party and the coaches wife didn’t like the hostess so the coach and son weren’t there. She made Tink bags today and is going to see “UP”. Yes do show us some pictures of the bags. :banana: for Omicron!!!! So what did you think of the movie? I loved, LOVED it. I cried all the way through though. I have a pic of the goods in my TR (in my siggie) ;)

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I was in the yard all day again. I must have missed putting sunscreen on the back of my shoulders.
:headache: :hug:

So i went to the grocery store for the other half of my kitchen
:rotfl2:
I thought your finals were over by now? How many more do you have?

Can you believe I can make my ressies in 14 :banana:days !!!!!
Hi Rosie! What did you decide on?

Tuesday my old friend is coming into NYC and after seeing her KC & I are going to see UP. So I am resting up for that. [/COLOR]
Hi Kat! Have a great week!

Janet, Sorry but I agree with T and CE. UP was awesome! I don't want to spoil it for those who are still going to see it so i will just say this. There were minutes with no dialogue but with the genius that is Pixar, you didn't even need the dialogue. The facial expressions and music could tell the story better than any words!

I have so much laundry and housework to do but I am going to bed and getting up early to finish before work. I am so depressed about having to work 40 hours this week but looking forward to leaving for WDW on Friday.

Have a great week everyone.

Ok... I'm totally just testing my internet connection on my DSi. Cool that I can Dis anywhere w/ wifi. Wonder if I can do some trip reporting....hmmmmm.

Night fockers... hope everyone had a good weekend!

I thought your finals were over by now? How many more do you have?

No i havent started finals yet. I had 2 rounds of midterms this quarter and i have one week left of classes with 2 lab finals on thursday. then the following week is finals week, with finals on tuesday, wednesday, and thursday. but ive got to start studying now! :surfweb:

Ok... I'm totally just testing my internet connection on my DSi. Cool that I can Dis anywhere w/ wifi. Wonder if I can do some trip reporting....hmmmmm.
:cool1: on the wi-fi

good luck with the TR!

Makes sense, I suppose! However, you can't find ANY of your socks, or a particular pair? Or do you only have one, because you mostly live in flip-flops? ;)

Well....I had one white pair available as I have been working in the yard a lot lately so most were in the laundry room and the others....well we have a serious sock bandit problem around here. I suppose I could have worn the red "Naughty or Nice" pair that T gave me for Christmas, but with their shiny threads they seemed a little to formal for gardening. :rolleyes: Plus I would have needed to pull them up to my knees so I could read the words which would have sent my helpers screaming into the house :sad2: and I have been trying my best to test child labor laws lately. :rotfl2:

BTW, I did wear my Capris one day and now I have a flip flop tan...either that or I spray painted my feet when I was painting some shelves. :confused3

I agree Up was amazing! It was laugh out loud at some points and heart breaking at other moments. Pixar sure has mastered the art of making you weep. Almost every one of their movies has moments that touch the heart and this one tops them all!

A little preview to my TR, we got to see Up in 3-D right at 12:01am on Friday. The first "general" audience to see the movie. As a special treat we had Dave Mullins one of the directing animators for the movie onboard and he introduced the movie that night and also surprised us with a special video intro from all the Pixar animators to our cruise audience. I have always wondered why people clap at the end of a move when in a movie theatre, the people involved in the movie cannot hear your approval. :confused3 Anyways I was more than happy to give the movie a standing ovation that night when I knew that Dave was in the audience and could hear our praise.

So my review: Go see Up and bring tissues!

Wow, you ladies move fast!

I've been trying to read the last few posts to try and keep up and read a few pages whenever I can from the front to catch up!

Can I ask some questions?

How many people are there on this thread?

Do you guys really wear lime green and see each other at the parks (I think that's TOTALLY cool and I'd love to do that on the next trip in sept).

What else unites you as a group?

Morning :goodvibes

We're back from Texas. It was a good trip, but I am SO glad to be home.

I read Kristel's last update....anything else I need to know?

I missed you guys :flower3:

How many people? I'm not sure, but maybe 30?

I wear whatever I have. My lime green wardrobe is limited. ;)

What unites us is that we found each other and have been here for each other's life experiences.

So, what'd you guys do? popcorn::

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We have a crazy busy day. B has an extended ortho appointment at lunch time. Then we have to go back to SA for dance. We won't be home until late since class isn't over until 8. :scared: We'll be beat tomorrow!
i guess i should go continue my mind melting. But it was good to sleep in for once in several weeks. I cant wait for school to end! or at least finals week to get here.
When are you done Sam?
Quiet day around here
It always seems to get quiet once the nice weather arrives. Everyone is out doing things, etc.
Hiya Fockers!! :wave2:
Long time no see!!! Been super busy with the (semi) move, etc...so I haven't been on TFW thread in....well, OMG...I can't remember!
But I wanted to swing by and say hi to everyone!! I don't even dare try and catch up!
Hope you're all well!!:grouphug:
Hey LL! We miss you!:hug:
The count right now is at 3929,
Is that all:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:
On the yard. I’ll wait until we have the patio in and then show you before and after shots. It’s all lumpy dirt right now. Doug and I had burgers on the grill and some home-grown asparagus too. It is the last of the asparagus.:sad1:
Oooh asparagus. UNfortunately I am the only who likes it so I don't make that often:sad2:
I am also busy planning Sept. which is hard cuz they al think it is to early and won't help!! Can you believe I can make my ressies in 14 :banana:days !!!!!
Than just make the plans and tell them that they can't complain if you do something they don't like...that's what I tell Jim ::yes::
=======================
Back at work and school today for everyone. Today is Jim's playoff game, so his dad is going to be picking up Jimmy from after school care for us so I don't have to use vacay time:thumbsup2 I have 2 loads of laundry to finish up tonight and I need to clean my 1st floor in preperation for the block party on Saturday. Not much else going on here. I hope everyone has a fabulous day:goodvibes
Morning! Never got a chance to check in this weekend - hope it was a good one for all. :grouphug:
I had a helluva weekend! :faint: Went to Nordstrom to check out Keen sandals... found some for Leo but, contrary to what was said on their website, they had none for me. Found them at a sporting goods place, but not in the color, style and size I want. Did find them online, though, so they're coming.
Cleaned the housee yesterday and worked out, went grocery shopping... and threw out a termite-infested arm chair. :scared1: Who knows how long they were in there; I noticed a bunch of wings scattered on one arm of it and looked under cushions - yep, the adults were crawling around minus their wings. Which means babies were imminent, so we got it the heck out of my house! 11pm my mother and I rolled the giant chair end over end down the stairs and across the courtyard and road to the nearest dumpster. I can only imagine how it looked. :rotfl:
Leo's last day of school tomorrow, and no one can tell me if after school care will be available, since school ends 2 hours earlier than usual. Unbelievable. I'm taking half the day off to pick him up and celebrate. :yay:
Nothing else to report. I need to do some writing for work today, so I probably won't be back till tomorrow. Happy Monday!
So, what'd you guys do? popcorn::
Welcome back Kate. How was the trip?
Thanks, ladies. The trip was good. We went to Sea World, the missions, the zoo, the Alamo....I looked for the basement, Janet, and I got in trouble :rolleyes1
Dawn, you were on my mind. I was wondering if you had successfully made the move or not. Next time I'll be sure to have a way to contact you...yelling "Hey Dawn!!! Where are you?!?!?!" didn't work. ;)
We're all crazy.
That just about sums it up. :goodvibes
This visual is really cracking me up. How about a reenactment so you can have a neighbor video it and put it on You Tube? :rotfl2:
Glad you found them!
I wish we could have gotten together too. It was such a stressful mess. I wouldn't have been any fun. :rolleyes:
I'm glad you had fun. I need to take the kids to the Missions and the Alamo. I keep waiting for the younger two to be older, though. Every summer I mean to study Texas history and I don't get around to it. I think Baylie will do some in 7th grade this year, so maybe I can supplement with a trip or two. :thumbsup2
Hiya Fockers!! :wave2:
:wave: Hi LL!
I just started a new thread for my trip report, here's the link:
The Sea Witch Stole My Voice! Our Two Week Land and Sea Adventure
Hope to see you all there!
:thumbsup2 I'll have to go check it out.
I was in the yard all day again. I must have missed putting sunscreen on the back of my shoulders. They are a tad red. :scared: It doesn't hurt though. It was beautiful today. I guess we are in for some rain the next couple of days. I will work on the basement (man cave) if it does.
Have a good evening everyone!
Ouch! Glad it doesn't hurt though.
There is a pic in my TR in my siggie :thumbsup2
:thumbsup2 Just checked it out and looks like a lot of fun stuff for the kids! Love the theme ideas.
:wave2: Hi Sam, Rosie, Kat, Dawn, and Janet!
*******************************************************
Just trying to clean house today. I need to get dishes done from this weekend and finish up on laundry. The kids have been outside playing all morning so and its now to get them lunch. Hope y'all are having a good day! :cutie:
Greetings from back pain land!
I can't really sit in this chair for long, I need to stay in the upright chair that actually supports my back. I am not in the mood for this anymore. I am trying to stay still, and i thought it would help, but this is day 5 now and I can't deal anymore. I don't even know what I did to make this happen?! But I'm not disabled?! :confused3 URGH.
Tomorrow my friend is coming into NYC so I WILL be there, if she has to carry me. I haven't seen her in about 10 years! At least going to the movies will be easy, I can sit in the chair there. We may end up in a random starbucks chatting but at least it's something.
Anywho, back to the chair with me!
