I'm gonna go ahead and report my totals for the week. I did my long run today instead of tomorrow cause it is supposed to rain and today is beautiful. I ran a 6 miler about an hour ago in 1:05:02.

Here's my totals -
14 miles / 2:29:45
+
2 miles / 40:00 (warmups & cooldowns)
=
16 miles / 3:09:45

I did 125 minutes worth of shoveling
4 miles

Rough week. I'm hoping soon I will get some peace.
 
Today's run was just...ugh...gross. Shin splints, pain in my abdomen...it felt like I walked more than I ran...

3 miles in 35:01.
 
but I am SICK and am/will be out of commision for a while. Got the nasty flu thing going around. Yuck. Will post when I'm getting miles in again.

Panda is getting us reinforcements so we should have help soon. I'm home sick today with a viral yucky thing, which I think I may have been fighting all week. Sorry I haven't been contributing. I'll pick it up this coming week, I'm sure, and I'll make sure I do a lot of workout stuff on spring break. :)
 
Hey everyone! The lovely Ms. Duckie invited me to join the team, so here I am! I haven't been around the WISH boards lately very much, and have sorely missed the company, so I'm hoping this will let me catch up with you all on a more manageable scale (the entire WISH board seems pretty huge at times!), and hopefully get to know some of you all better so that I know who I'm going to hang with at the next Disney race!

I'll try to be back later with stats and catching up with the thread, but I just wanted to say 'hi' for now :)

Welcome, Moonie and Angie! (I'd use the "welcome" thing with the fireworks, but I don't know how)

So, most of us check in throughout the week, some of us target a daily post to help us be accountable and to commiserate/celebrate our stonkers/accomplishments.

Weekly, I post the totals for miles (x.xx) and hours (hours:minutes) into the team spreadsheet. We run Saturday to Friday, and you can post for the week on Friday or Saturday (some of us, who take Friday off, post on Thursday). The big monthly totals are then "published" for all teams on the weekly thread. It's for bragging rights, and the challenge runs all year.

Also, there is a new component where we are adding/subtracting certain things from our lives to support our healthy living, but honestly, I've been sick all week and I'm not sure what we are doing there (I've been sick this week).

There is a bio/introduction thread buried somewhere for our team so you can get to know us. We have serious athletes here, and newbies like myself (I've been working out for over ONE MONTH!).

Jump in and let us know what your personal goals are and where you are now. We're a supportive group. :)

OK so can I just go ahead and post my total for this week? I'm afraid my contribution to pumping up your numbers will be sad this week because I missed my long run last weekend, probably why I have been pushing myself like crazy the rest of the week but here goes:

10 miles for 96 minutes.

I'm not doing my long run this week till Sunday but it will be 7 so that will help a lot with next week's totals.:)

If I run at home I time myself on the clock in the house when I leave and come back (STILL NEED A GARMIN!!!) so my numbers will always be rounded to full minutes. I hope that's ok.

Is there somewhere that we can all see the spreadsheet or is that only for team captains? Do we just look at totals on weekly thread.

I am so excited to be a part of one of these teams, :banana: I was feeling left out but was a little reluctant to join, wanted to wait and see how my back was doing first.

Gotta go back to work.

OK! Moon's totals for this week (from Saturday through today, if I understand how this works correctly?)

Sat: 12 miles run/ 2 hrs
Mon: Weights/ 30 minutes
Tues: 6.75 miles run/ 65 minutes
Thurs: 6.75 miles run/ 65 minutes
Fri: 6.9 elliptical miles (do these count?)/ 65 minutes

total:
25.5 running miles
6.9 elliptical miles
5 hrs, 45 minutes

Next week I'll be in Disney! I can't wait to walk down Main Street and think that in January I'll be RUNNING down Main Street! Hoping when I return that Spring has decided she is here to stay and I can get outside all the time!

Another 45 minutes of shoveling. Winter never ends in my department! But it is a good workout. Hopefully the weather will turn around soon too so I can get out on the track/trail and GO!
