TEAM DONALD--Biggest Loser 11 Spring Team Challenge

Back again!

Jude, your Princess outfit looks absolutely marvelous! princess:

Looks like a Costco run for today. I was called and asked to make muffins for a Teacher Breakfast in the morning but I think instead of the temptation of making them ( I LOVE blueberry muffins and can eat an entire batch) I will just buy some. No point in making things harder for myself than I have to. I also have to get bananas because dd's class is having fondue for their Valentine's party  It is no wonder that losing weight is so hard when all of these temptations and challenges are constantly being thrown at us!

Isn't that the truth? ::yes:: I've been so happy now that DS is in middle school that we don't have to do that stuff anymore!

The current something is going to involve a plumber. Wonderful:rolleyes:

Uh oh! Good job on the loss in spite of it! :thumbsup2

Happy Valentine's Day!!

In the spirit of the day, today's QOTD is: What do you LOVE about yourself?

It's often hard along this journey to see the positives in ourselves. Today, think of AT LEAST ONE thing you wouldn't want to change about yourself!

I love my big, blue eyes. I also love that I am strong, dependable and crazy enough to try running a half marathon for the first time in a few short days! :rotfl2:

Have a great day DONALDS! :donald:

I simply could not resist posting this, although I don't know to whom I should give the credit. A friend just reposted on Facebook and it made me laugh!

"With time, women gain weight because we accumulate so much information & wisdom in our heads that when there is no more room, it distributes out to the rest of our bodies. So we aren't heavy, we are enormously cultured, educated & happy. Beginning today, when I look at my butt in the mirror I will think; good grief, I must be a genius!!"

I am dependable. My students, fellow teachers and my family know that they can depend on me.

Costumes are organized but we are still missing a lot of things but we think we have a better hand on it.

I must have done something to my back because it is very stiff when I get up in the morning. If I am walking it is not bad.

Off to get some breakfast.
Have a happy and healthy Valentine's Day

What you love about yourself, I imagine, rings true for many here. We are (mainly) women, mothers, wives, daughters....we know that others rely and depend on us for much of their and our lives. We are strong because we have to be, and we CAN do ANYTHING!! Even get healthy!!

Glad the costumes are organized. One more step toward the show accomplished.

I love my big, blue eyes. I also love that I am strong, dependable and crazy enough to try running a half marathon for the first time in a few short days! :rotfl2:

Have a great day DONALDS! :donald:

You'll do GREAT at the Princess. The 1st 1/2 I walked, I had trained for less than 2 weeks. I counted the first 6.5 forward, then counted back down to the finish.

:lmao: Love this! And somehow, I feel much better about myself after reading it!:thumbsup2

QOTD: Gotta say I love my eyes! Big, brown, and just like my Dad's! He's been watching down on me with his from heaven for 32 years now, and I love knowing that I always have a part of him with me!

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! :lovestruc Let's all let our loved ones know how much they mean to us today.

:love:HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!

Today is shaping up to be a day of running everywhere, stress & just insane busyness. But I will cope.

Got DS21 & DH off, About to get DD19 up, then I have to run to the thrift store to do an exchange (last day I can). Go buy movie tickets with free vouchers for DS21 to take his GF to a movie tonight....Tangled. Haven't gotten my mail in a week & hope it hasn't been taken back to the PO. Then I MUST walk Sashi 4-5 miles (that's the for me part of the day). This afternoon I take DS25 to dentist - appt. at 3:50. After I get him back home, have to go to campus to retrieve DS21 so he can make the movie with GF. If he takes bus back up here, he will miss it. At some point, I still need to make hotel reservations for DH & his DSis while moving, find something for $50 on coldwatercreek.com to use my groupon that expires today, and about a thousand other tiny to-do items.

My biggest temptation today will be that our Sonic has the red velvet cheesecake blasts for $1, and I will be bringing at least 2 home for DS25 to eat as he still can't really chew or open his mouth very wide(although it hasn't seemed to hinder his complaining). At least he went to work last night.

I'll be back on at some point today when I can. Maybe from my phone. Stay strong and have a wonderful day!

Hi all!

Posted a one pound loss this week, better than nothing!

Also picked up 30DS on Sat from Target and am going to give it a try today. I planning on alternating between that and my kettle bell workout with Bob for my workouts along with my daily run/walk. I hope to have a bigger number for the next weight in! Diet still needs work but I'm doing pretty good I'd say.

QOTD: I would not change my usually happy demeanor, it takes a lot to get my in a bad mood and I like that, also I love my smile! :)

:wave2: Whew, busy morning already involving a whole lot of tempting treats. I went to deliver muffins for the teacher breakfast this morning and the Hospitality mom was the only one there-- no one came to help her. So I stayed to assist her, then went on to my daughter's class for their valentine party complete with chocolate fondue, valentine donuts, and an assortment of other junk food. Fortunately (well not really) I am having an IBS flare up so it was easy to resist knowing I would quickly regret it. Haven't been able to eat much the last few days. Usually this is the kind of thing that derails me-- a week or so of not eating much but some noodles or rice and then I just give up on the "diet". But NOT THIS TIME! Because this time it is not a diet, it is a healthier way of living the rest of my life. :)

I was planning to get some blood work done when I left the school but since I haven't eaten I am pretty sure it would just result in them having to pick me up off the floor after I fainted. So I am putting it off again-- I have had the order for 2 weeks but just haven't had the chance to go.

I did decide last night that the first one of my friends to notice and ask "Have you lost weight?" will be treated to lunch! So far no one has, but it isn't surprising since at this size it can be hard to tell, and I always wear oversized clothes anyway (nothing ever fits me right). So I am just waiting.
. . .
Happy Valentine's Day!!

My sense of humor. I love to make people laugh.

Isn't that the truth? ::yes:: I've been so happy now that DS is in middle school that we don't have to do that stuff anymore!
Here it is almost as bad! The cakes I made last week were for the high school and the PTA does teacher lunches and treats a few times a year for both the middle and high school.

:lmao::rotfl2: I'm going to have to steal this for my Facebook!

Have to go and clean house. I got a new Shark Vac and Steam yesterday so I get the "fun" of trying it out! Everyone have a great day full of healthy choices and lots of love

BernardandMissBianca Did you get your appointment. You reminded me that I have to schedule mine.

Not yet. I ended up being stuck at school store all day. I just walked in the door about 15 minutes ago.
On my list for tomorrow!

That is hilarious!!! I just forwarded to a friend and my DH.

LAURA, DONA, and KATHY

How are y'all doing today?
did you get your workout in?

I was stuck at school but had a decent breakfast, and a good lunch. I need to get my workout in, which I'm headed to do in about 10 minutes. That will get 1/2 my water in today.

Journaled my food too. I need to finish journaling yesterdays though.

Come on Team One-derland!!! :cheer2:

BTW, it's 57º today!!!!!!!!!!!

If I didn't have the kids I would have walked the track, even if it was muddy. I need to see if mom can watch DD this week so I can get out there and hit it.

OK off to work out and open windows!!!!! :cool1::cool1::woohoo::woohoo:

Hope everyone is having a good, minimal treat day!!

Quickly posting before taking DS25 to dentist.

Went to thrift store, costco, bought DS21 movie tics, got the mail, back home and in 28 min unloaded, took care of food, hunted for flights/train to Iowa for wedding in Oct., pottied 3 dogs, signed for DS21 iphone, got proflowers.com package from DH :lovestruc, took care of the flowers and visited Facebook. Then took Sashi for 4.5 miles, came home, DIS, Cityville, ate the rest of my salmon - maybe 3 oz, & black beans - maybe 1/4c, and now waiting for DS25 to get out of shower so we can go. Praying it is an easy fix.

When I get back, I need to find DH hotels, fill out a rebate on our new hot water heater (from flood) & figure out dinner. With luck I can get DH to go to Zios & pick up an Italian shrimp salad for me (grilled, of course!). And I can't forget to order something from coldwatercreek.com - don't want to waste the $25 I pd for $50...and they have free shipping on $50 right now!!;)

Way off track. I didn't feel like making lunch so ate stuff i could grab easy like pudding, jello and popcorn. I'm so ready to get back on track.

I picked up some homeopathic cough and mucus relief med its by Similasan. I didn't know how it was going to work but I've been quite impressed with it. It works really well at breaking it up and the taste is kid approved. It literally tastes like pancake syrup with zero aftertaste. It's the first time I could get Zoe to take meds this easy. She had nasal decongestant too this morning before school so hopefully she didn't get bothered by stuffy nose too much. She was happy she showed no sign of fever Sunday she kept having me feel her head all day to be sure she could go to school today like her Dr. said when she asked her Friday. She was all worried she'd miss her Valentine's Day party too.

I feel like the cough and congestion is clearing up but my body feels rather weak today. Hopefully I'll be back up to speed tomorrow but if I feel better after my walk to the bus I may try to do some of the Walk Away the Pounds workout. Even though I didn't have a real lunch those icky junk food type things won't be so good. Hopefully the low grade fever kept my metabolism up. I can hope right?

Evening everybody

Dropping in to say hi and stay on the thread track. So beautiful here today. Got up to 70:cool1: Came home and took Onslow for a nice walk, not quite as long as I wanted it to be, but it was as long as he wanted which wound up being about 45 minutes. So a good walk for my doggie.

goldcupmom: I stole the quote for my FB page as well. Was too good to pass up:lmao:

BTW, if anybody wants to friend me on FB, I love having DISsers on my list:thumbsup2

Now its time to go clean the kitchen and make supper. Tonight is Brats and something. Not sure what the something'll be yet.

Have a good night. Back later maybe:wizard:

Happy Valentine's Day Team Donald

Lisa, I've been giving some thought on your suggestion about switching to maintain until after March 15th since I'm so crazy busy with tax season. Does it help the team at all? I feel bad going up or down 1/2 pounds here and there depending on the week.

No snow here, so I'm a happy camper.:)

Yahoo for no snow. I had today off instead of last Friday since I had training and it was almost 55 out at one point :scared1: If the sidewalks were shoved better we may have gone out with the stroller. Can't wait for spring :)

Zoe got worse last night.

Hope Zoe is feeling better

Yes, Happy Belated Birthday everyone :cool1:

First the high…. I've just returned from a great vacation in Florida that included a few days at Universal Studios, a few days at the Kennedy Space Center and a 4 day Disney Dream Cruise :banana:. I fell off the eating wagon a bit and I now realize that it was a mistake to go to Palo AND Remy on a 4 day cruise.

Yahoo, great to hear that you had such a wonderful time. We're going in May. Any good food items or drinks not to be missed? We're going to do Palo, and save Remy for the Fantasy in a couple of years. DS will be almost 2 and I'd hate to put him in the nursery so late at night for 3-4 hours when he usually goes to bed around 7:00/7:30.

My biggest temptation today will be that our Sonic has the red velvet cheesecake blasts for $1!

What are these? I must check them out popcorn::

Happy Valentine's Day to you, too, Sue! You know what Valentine's Day means? Only 2 more months until tax season is over! :flower3:

Nope it doesn't make any difference as a team whether you are a loser or a maintainer. We like everyone on our team no matter what the scale is doing!

I just suggested that to you in case that was putting any pressure on you during a busy time of year. Sometimes when I am crazy busy I try and set myself up for success and take some pressure off so I have one less thing to worry about. :goodvibes

Melissa, glad that you and Zoe are feeling better! :flower3:

 Hi Maureen!

Julie, good luck with reservations! The trains into Iowa are notoriously off schedule -- like 12 to 18 hours late. We don't take the train but we do go there every summer.

Glad that some of you are having nice weather! :sunny:

Have a great evening all!

Stacy, I tried to watch my kettlebell DVD today but for some reason the computer that runs the TV doesn't recognize it. I put it in my computer and it works fine so I don't know what the issue is.
I need to finish watching it.

Way off track. I didn't feel like making lunch so ate stuff i could grab easy like pudding, jello and popcorn. I'm so ready to get back on track.

Hang in there Melissa!! I had it a few weeks ago and it really kicked my butt. However, I did get a little better every day. Hot showers really helped!!

Buffy, that is weird! :confused3

I am going to check out 30DS tomorrow did my kettle bell tonight and went for a 23 min run/walk.

Oh well, I had to make a special dessert! And I liked it so much I had 2 helpings with some light vanilla ice cream! Oh well, it's Valentine's Day! I'll be good the rest of the week!

Congrats Team Mickey!!!!! They won again!!!!! by 6.3 pounds!!!!

And this is the coolest part! Both teams are tied with the same exact total weight loss so far for the challenge! with 452.4 pounds!!!!

TTFN :tigger:

I hope to get up the results up tomorrow during the day. I will take my laptop to work tomorrow so I can get it all ready and post when I get home.
