TEAM DONALD--Biggest Loser 11 Spring Team Challenge

Good Monday morning Team Donald.

Did you send in your weight to tigger813? Please do so as soon as possible.

I am sitting here watching the news and they said the "S" word again. Enough is enough. At this rate we willl not see the ground until my birthday in May. The weird part is that I have a flower bed behind the house and it is right near the dryer vent so there is not much snow there. I have crocuses and daffodils coming up. I didn't go grocery shopping yesterday. I decided to sew instead. Now I have to go today and it is going to be crazy.

I can't believe I messed up on 7Brides for 7 Brothers vs Here Comes the Brides.Forgive me those people who had the correct information :worship::worship::worship:

When you go out to eat do you have any knee jerk habits, such as ordering the same size soda, or always getting desert no matter what? Do you want to change those habits? If you do then post a plan to help you do it.

My family likes to eat at Applebees and it is nice that they have some lighter fare. I am always trying something new there.

Have to get in early this morning and will have breakfast at my desk. Have two exams this morning so it will be a long morning.

Sorry I can't be on longer.

Have a happy and healthy day.

Come on Team Donald!!!! Mickey has taken a 3.6 pound lead this morning!!!!

donac- I know what you mean about the "S" word! Expecting another 14-20" Tuesday and Wednesday! Driving is becoming hazardous with all the mounds of snow on the corners of the streets! It's almost like going through a tunnel going down the road! It will be like that on Thursday! This is RIDICULOUS!!!!!!

TTFN :tigger:

Sorry guys I have to post a 3 lb gain. I waited until the last possible time to see if it would go down and it has not. It looks like Team Mickey is going to win this week.

Sorry, that I have posted a weight in a couple weeks. I am down 4.5 pounds. I think I am back on track now.

Good morning Donalds!:goodvibes Posting quickly today as I am starving for lunch!!! I have a 3 hour German class every Monday morning (yuck) so using all that brain power really works up an appetite for me:rotfl:

So far, so good.

My weight loss goals are modest - just 5 lbs a month - but if I did that for two years, it would be 120 lbs.

I am not going to be losing 5 - 6 pounds a week at times like I used to do at WW. But I feel I am on a balanced plan I can live with for life.

Not about deprivation, good foods/bad foods, eat this don't eat that for me - doesn't work.

When I first started WW, I would weigh in on a Wednesday afternoon and have a mammoth binge that ended about Sunday night when I would panic over the coming weigh in . Then I would starve and purge with laxatives until Wednesday.

Don't do that anymore. No need to binge, nothing I cannot have if I work it in.

Anyway, that's sort of where I am.

I will keep reading and responding if I can.

Take care folks.

I am glad you are all there.

Linda

Good advice! Sounds like you have it figured out:goodvibes Last challenge I was rarely on the top 10 list from week to week but I finished the challenge as #7 or something close to that. My goal is to be in the top 10 at the finish for this challenge too! I will probably never lose more than 1% in one week and that's OK with me.

But there was a Dad from the other team behind me who started complaining LOUDLY about the referring during the second half of the game. I gave him the "stink eye" a few times, but I kept my mouth shut. WHY can't parents understand what they are TEACHING their children when they act like that?? Sure, we all have times when things seem unfair (whether it is truly unfair or just a perception), but we need to be ADULT about it and show our kids how to deal with it appropriately. Yelling to the refs that their calls were "putrid" isn't exactly teaching them how to deal with life's unfairness, is it???

And honestly.... these refs probably didn't know a SINGLE CHILD from either team.... so why would they lean their calls towards one team or the other? They are there to do a job.... they aren't getting paid more by one team than the other to make "good" or "bad" calls! They call it like they see it.... PERIOD! This is middle-school age recreational league basketball... not the blooming NBA! Get some perspective people!!! Show your child/Teach your child how to be a good sport, a good person, etc, etc. LEAD BY EXAMPLE!! I was very proud of our town's parents and our kids and our coach.

:headache: aaarrrrgh, THOSE parents! Don't they drive you crazy. I always hated the ones at baseball that would really yell for a kid to strike out or yell at the ump for bad plate calls, I mean COME ON - these are 12 year old boys and in our bleachers you were only about 10-15 feet behind the plate. I have seen parents get warnings from the umps, get tossed out by umps and seen a brawl between parents where the Police was called in, CRAZY.

I had my Wedding on CC on Nov 12, 2010 and it was wonderful! We only had some of our immediate family with us on the cruise, 12 in total, so very intimate. The wedding was at 10 in the a.m., a bit weird but beautiful.

I had to get up extra early to get ready and it was rainy in the morning :scared1: The wedding coordinator had to come ask me if I still wanted to do it outside or if we should move it to a location on the ship. I had to make a big decision but I am glad I chose to keep it outside. On the way to the beach location it was still misty and damp feeling but when the golf cart I was on finally rounded the last corner the sun magically appeared from the clouds and stayed out for the entire ceremony! :wizard: We joke that disney had huge fans that blew the clouds away for us!

After the ceremony we took a bunch of pics on the beach and with the characters that we out on the island before heading back to PALO on the ship for a nice champagne and cake reception. After that we wanted to get some pics on deck but it started raining again :sad1: so we took some pics around the inside of the ship and by the time we were done with that we were able to go back up on deck for some great shots and the sun was shining again! :) Finally we went back to our cabin and changed to enjoy the rest of our wonderful day at CC!

Sounds lovely!!!:cloud9: Is there any chance you are British? A few things you have said have me wondering.....If not, sorry, just my crazy brain at work making something up!

Is anyone taking my Team Donald Challenge? I have journaled for the last two days. Anyone else?

Started today. (sigh) I skipped journaling Friday, Saturday and Sunday since I was eating so little because of my tooth and I was eating JUNK! Weight was going down Friday and Sat but went UP Sunday and today! I'm not eating as little as I think!!!!!! Right back OP today. THANKS for keeping on us. I need to hear this over and over and over.....

That sounds like a good plan. We went to the war museum. It didn't really do much for me, but it was one of my DH's favorite things on the trip. Go figure!

I guess most of my suggestions would revolve around food popcorn:: We had excellent French Toast (funny I know) at Laduree on the Champs. They also have the best macaroons. We had amazing hot chocolate at Angelina near the Louvre. We had it at Laduree too, but we both like Angeina's better. We actually bought some to take home to my uncle who had been there and loved their hot chocolate too. We also had a good crepe at a stand outside of the Chatelet et Les Halls Metro. Odd place I realize, but it was so good. I ordered a banana and nutella crepe and then he asked me if I wanted Grand Marnier on it and I was like seriously? Heck yeah! My DH and I fought over the last bite on our ride back to Disney.

My favorite part of the trip was by far sitting on a bench in the park right behind the Eiffel Tower as they turned on the lights. It was amazing  I filmed it on my camera and still love watching it. We stayed in Disney, which was convienent, but when I go back I'd opt to stay in the city preferably in a hotel with a view of the Eiffel Tower.

Have a wonderful time!

Thanks, I'm making note of this, I need some food options!!! When I went last March with a friend and her kids, we found ourselves looking for moderately priced food and ending up with Italian most every meal. It didn't seem like a true Paris experience food-wise. I'm not too crazy about the War Museum either but DH & DS have never been. I think I will end up seeing most of the sites I saw last March over again so they can see the big things. I really want to go to Versailles and DLP but I guess that will be another trip.
I will try to catch the lights coming on. Didn't see that last March even though we were there 7 days, I just saw it off or on!

What was your favorite Cruise ship excursion, or land based day trip?

Hard to limit it to just one......Castaway Cay is always magical and very relaxing and a great end to a cruise.....on our Med cruise we were in Rome for a day and didn't leave port until 9:00 pm, we splurged and hired a private driver to show us all the sights, it was wonderful to zip around town and get dropped off at the front door and skip lines, we really enjoyed Malta, Tunisia, Monte Carlo and Florence ports too!

When you go out to eat do you have any knee jerk habits, such as ordering the same size soda, or always getting desert no matter what? Do you want to change those habits? If you do then post a plan to help you do it.

Yes, very much so.....I still find myself scanning the menu looking for something that sounds delicious or something that I don't cook at home instead of considering something nutrious. Luckily we NEVER eat out here except for Subway once a week but I do go to lunch with girlfriends regularly. I still consider going out to eat my "break" from normal routine and a chance to splurge a little. I could definitely make some improvements here!

Off to find some lunch and journal it - I am starving!

Shawnprincess:

Good morning Teamies!!

Looks like a fun, busy weekend here. I don't have time to catch up yet, but want to read all the info about cruises you all have posted.

We had a fun weekend at my brothers, though, I did over eat saturday, and over drink,:rolleyes1 but I got up yesterday and went for a 3.5 mile run/walk, and started yesterday back on track, and journalled everything. So I missed one day of Dona's journalling challenge, but am back to it for the rest of the week.

I am up 1.6 this morning, and focused to lose it by friday. I've been in this habit before, gain a couple pounds over the weekend, and lose them before friday, and have a virtually a maintaining challenge, but I have no big events the next 3 weekends before the princess half trip, so I am determined to maintain control over these next 3 weeks, and reach my goal of ONE-derland by 2/23.

Have a great monday everyone!! :)

Good morning TEAM DONALD!

Spring is coming! :flower3: Are you going to greet spring closer to your goal or are you going to look like you emerged from hibernation? :confused3 What you do for the next 30 days will make the difference -- even little changes really add up! :thumbsup2

LTS, sounds like you are making some good progress on your scrapbook pages and I loved the Key West pic! :beach:

Thanks. You have no idea how much I needed to hear that. :goodvibes

Anytime!

Thank you Lisa.:goodvibes Just what I needed today.

You, too, Rose!

That is a GREAT bit of information to really mull over in our minds.

It makes me think about this somewhat long-ish journey I've been on. If someone had told me three years ago I would STILL be struggling to hit my goal three years from now, I might have gotten really frustrated and wanted to give up. But what would that have gained me?? I would be 3 years older and still overweight! And every food/exercise decision (both good and bad) I have made in the last 3 years has gotten me here... and I'm pretty happy here! Sure, I would love to drop another few pounds, but spending the last year in the 130's surely is better than spending the previous many years in the 200's!!

::yes:: So much better to keep making progress on your goals -- even if it takes longer than you thought! And we are happy that you are here, too, Pamela! :flower3:

Lisa:

Bet the Landlord knew about the toilet…...

Maybe or maybe not -- it was really old and we cracked it trying to tighten the bolts instead of calling like we should have. But we didn't because we had pets and didn't have those when we moved in so didn't want to call attention to it. :rolleyes1

Have you ever been? It truly is an amazing city

Haven't been to Paris yet, Sue, but some day! :cloud9:

Sorry, I've been away so long team without checking in. I've been sending my weigh ins in though.

Busy with lots of family stuff, hauling the kids hither and far.

But tomorrow I start week 5 of P90X, never thought I'd get that far, but I am. Losing pounds and inches.

So far so good, hope next month is even better.

Thanks everyone. Even though I haven't been checking in, its nice to know you are here.

Thanks for checking in! :goodvibes

This week has been super busy. I have been doing better this week with exercise and eating and lost 2.5 lbs.

Nice loss! :thumbsup2

Hi Team Donald!

I need to send in my weights and measurements for the week in a bit...

I dropped almost no weight as of Friday for the week, so I thought I'd try to ramp it up a bit. I was considering trying to find Shred or a version of P90x at the library, but I came across the Bikini Bootcamp book, instead.

It takes some time for your body to adjust to you new habits so don't worry if you don't see a loss every single week. :goodvibes

Alright, just a quick pop in with tomorrow's QOTD and I'll be back tomorrow night with replies for everybody. Gotta work at 6:30am.

So here it is

When you go out to eat do you have any knee jerk habits, such as ordering the same size soda, or always getting desert no matter what? Do you want to change those habits? If you do then post a plan to help you do it.

I try to journal the points ahead of time so I don't have a surprise later. The things that are likely to cause me problems are frou-frou drinks and fries or some other starchy thing. I have no plans to eat out this week so that should help me stay on track with the Princess breathing down my neck in less than 4 weeks! :scared1:

Melissa, glad that you had a good week-end! :sunny:

dona, sorry about the "S" word in the forecast.

Sorry, that I have posted a weight in a couple weeks. I am down 4.5 pounds. I think I am back on track now.

:woohoo: Another nice loss!

...back from Ft Drum!! And I have 11 days of this thread to catch up on!!!:scared1:

Welcome back! And thanks for serving! :flower3:

Shawn, glad that the tooth is better. :cool2:

Kathy, glad that you made it back safely from your brothers. Sounds like you will have a chance to work off some calories shoveling later this week -- sorry!

Have a great day Donalds! :donald:

I agree... enough is enough! And we haven't even had as much as some people! Everyone in the snowy areas stay safe this week!!

My family likes to eat at Applebees and it is nice that they have some lighter fare. I am always trying something new there.

I was sad to discover on my last visit to Applebee's that they no longer have the WW menu. They do have lighter stuff, but now I need to go to the trouble of researching the NI, figuring out the points, etc. It was SO easy before!

Well.... it has taken a long time to NOT have those knee jerk reactions to eating out. But now I have NEW habits that are good ones! Since giving up Diet Coke, I always order seltzer water. We were never a dessert-ordering family, unless it was a special occasion, so no problems there. But now I really try to research what I am eating BEFORE we go. And if I can't find something that fits in my calories for that day, I order something on the menu but ask to have it modified. Last week when we celebrated DS's birthday at Uno's I really wanted a thin crust pizza... and fortunately they offer a multi-grain version that has more fiber. But even with the lightest sounding toppings, the pizzas were just too high in calories (BTW, do you all know to double check the serving sizes on most restaurant entrees? The "individual" thin crust pizzas at Uno's are mostly 3 servings... a few are 2 servings.)

I ordered the roasted eggplant pizza and asked them to use less than half of the normal amount of cheese and just a smidge of pesto. Pesto is made with oil, so it is VERY caloric and I'm not a huge fan, so I didn't miss it. Same with the cheese and it still had more than enough to satisfy me. The roasted veggies were great... tomato, eggplant, onions.

But that said, when checking the NI at the restaurant kiosk, I had to make note of the fact that the pizza was considered 3 servings. And each serving had 6 points... that is 18 points for the entire pizza, which is an entire day's worth of points for me!! Fortunately I had eaten very lightly earlier in the day in anticipation of this dinner. I enjoyed half of the pizza and seltzer. It was filling enough. And DS shared a few bites of his special birthday dessert.

Well... all that rambling has lead me to say, in conclusion.... that I have, with some work and research, developed NEW, HEALTHIER knee jerk reactions when it comes to eating out!

Morning friends!! More S**W on the way for many of us! I'm about as sick of it as I could be. Glad I got out this weekend and scraped and chopped ice on the driveway. It is about 95% totally clear, down to dry hardtop. I will be happy I did that when trying to snowblow this next storm I suppose.

One more snowday or 2 hour day and the kids will have uesd up all of the "prescheduled" snow days and after that we start adding on at the end. :sad2: I hope it doesn't come to that, but we still have all of February and March to go.

DD is taking tonight off from her activities (unless homework is very light, in which case she may decide to go to swim practice). I'm looking forward to not going anywhere today. I'm sending DH to help with robotics team meeting. You know where I will be.... sitting at my scrapping table.! I got a few loads of laundry done over the weekend and folded them at 5:30 am this morning after dropping off DD for swim practice. Dishes are caught up, kitchen looks decent. A bit of vacuuming and a toilet or two to clean and I will be satisfied with things here and ready to scrap.

I need to go check out the chicken breast recipes that LTS posted for me over on the BL recipe board. Gotta decide what's up for tonight!........P

Good morning!
Happy to say I am feeling human again. Just some lingering coughing and runny nose. I can deal with that.

Got a full plate today, no pun intended. Bunch of phone calls to make to the SBA, leasing offices and more. While I was laying in bed last night not sleeping a million things went through my head of things I need to do. Of course this morning I'm drawing a blank. I think tonight I'll put a pen and paper next to me so I can write it all down.

Sorry to hear some are getting hit with even more s&%w. I left NH last March for warmer weather here in Florida and it was the best thing i could have done. The winters had been getting harder and harder for me health wise up there and just thinking about how I would have fared this winter makes me cringe. I can't say I miss it and I sympathize with you all!

When you go out to eat do you have any knee jerk habits, such as ordering the same size soda, or always getting desert no matter what? Do you want to change those habits? If you do then post a plan to help you do it.

I can't say I really do. It depends on where we are too. My husband and I use to go out a lot to eat but we have scaled back on that. So that right there has helped. I always looked at my going out to eat as my splurge. Sometimes you just have to do it or you will fail, for me at least. If I deny myself too much for too long then I end up failing. I've always given myself permission to have that Hershey kiss or some other treat, the key is not to gorge on them but have a taste or two to get over that want.

:wave2: Feel like I have been hit by a truck this morning. Had a lot of trouble sleeping but no idea why. Not sure I will be doing the Shred today, but I need to clean house so I should get some exercise vacuuming and mopping and carrying laundry.

I didn't journal over the weekend but will be today and beyond. I also want to do some measurements for WIN. I haven't yet but it would be a good idea. I know I am losing off my waist because I can't keep my darn pants on!

When you go out to eat do you have any knee jerk habits, such as ordering the same size soda, or always getting desert no matter what? Do you want to change those habits? If you do then post a plan to help you do it.
Ordering a soda, but that has stopped and I am getting water or unsweet iced tea now. It is funny because DD10 always gets water, it is her favorite drink anyway. But I feel like we are being so "cheap" if we all order water.

A lot of time when I eat it out it is just because it is time to eat and we are not home. Then we/I usually grab fast food and I will get a grilled chix sandwich or a salad or something on the lighter side with not problem. We don't eat out much for pleasure so when we do I tend to want to splurge. DH says we go out to enjoy things we don't make at home so that usually means things that are not healthy. I can make a plain grilled chicken breast with steamed veggies at home-- I want the one they make with the cheese and cream sauce and amazing mashed potatoes. . . .

The diet part SUCKS, and it amazes me that I spend SO much of my time obsessing over not being "able" to eat carbs (and I'm doing a modified version of it, anyway!!)....I've been thinking about eating almost constantly this weekend...crazy! If this isn't a clear indication to me that I eat as a BEHAVIOR, not because I'm actually hungry, I don't know what is!!!
South Beach has a 2 week intro period where you actually don't have any starchy carbs (bread, pasta, corn, potatoes etc). The purpose is to break that "carb tooth". It really does help with the cravings and makes it easier to stick to just a serving or two later on. You might want to take a look at it.

I can't believe I messed up on 7Brides for 7 Brothers vs Here Comes the Brides.Forgive me those people who had the correct information :worship::worship::worship:
I was just excited that someone else might have actually watched that series besides me! I think I might have been the only one!:lmao: The original movie/musical is one of my absolute favorites.
Sorry guys I have to post a 3 lb gain. I waited until the last possible time to see if it would go down and it has not. It looks like Team Mickey is going to win this week.
 Just gives us something to fight harder for this week! :thumbsup2

Sorry, that I have posted a weight in a couple weeks. I am down 4.5 pounds. I think I am back on track now.

Team Donald
Awesome job!:yay: Did you PM that to tigger813?

Haven't been here for a few days...crazy weekend!

Sad to say, I didn't have a loss this week, but no gain either. If only I were here as a maintainer, I'd be having a GREAT challenge! :sad2:

Let's all do the chant and dance together...
NO MORE SNOW! :dance3: NO MORE SNOW! :dance3: NO MORE SNOW!

Gotta run, have a great day everyone!

Well Donalds, I am happy that I weighed in on Friday since I fell off the wagon this weekend! I went to a B&B for a scrapbooking weekend which means I sat on my butt for 2 1/2 days and ate yummy things that did not quite fit in with my lifestyle plan :(

Well, today is a new day and I have started it off right (oatmeal, coffee, and a luna bar snack so far). I'm heading down to Florida on Wednesday to visit my parents for a week (provided the white stuff and ice don't paralyze the airport) so I will most likely not be weighing in next week. If all goes according to plan I will stick to my healthy living plan and add some nice walking/jogging OUTSIDE for the week. My parents are behind me and even asked about the types of food I am eating so they can buy some stuff for the house

Keep up the good work Donalds and make better choices than I did this weekend

Happy Monday everyone. I hope you all had a good weekend.

My weekend went by too quickly, as usual, but overall it was good. On Friday I left work early. I have a rental property that new tenants were moving into and I had some last minute things to finish up before handing over the keys. I'm so excited that they moved in though. It has been empty for 2 months and it will be nice to have the extra money coming in as well as to not have to go over there to shovel every time it snows (which it seems like is twice a week lately!):thumbsup2 Then, I was going to meet my BF at the gym to lift. Well, he didn't get out of work when he thought he was going to, so I got on the elliptical while I waited. I ended up getting in 32 min before he got there then we did about an hour of lifting  I love when I can get in a good long workout. I like having the option of going to the gym over lunch and it is a good way to ensure that I get a workout in, but I love it when I can spend an hour or more at the gym really working up a sweat :)

On Saturday, I got most of the day to myself. My BF was plaing in a card tournament, so I selpt late, did some laundry and went to the gym to run. Once again I had a really great run :confused3 That's twice in 1 week. I'm not sure what is going on, but I like it :yay:

Yesterday was my last day of broomball for one of my leagues :sad1: I still have 2 games left with my other team and I am subbing for another team next weekend, but my Sunday team is my favorite. We won our game and I got to play a lot because we were short on subs so it was really fun. Then we went out for drinks and some food. I limited my self to 1.5 beers and I had a salad, so I ended up staying within my calorie limit for the day :thumbsup2

Sorry, I've been away so long team without checking in. I've been sending my weigh ins in though.

Busy with lots of family stuff, hauling the kids hither and far.

But tomorrow I start week 5 of P90X, never thought I'd get that far, but I am. Losing pounds and inches.

Thanks everyone. Even though I haven't been checking in, its nice to know you are here.

Nice work on the P90X. I did it for about a month last year, but I didn't have the time to really commit to it for a full cycle.

Live from the neighborhood of "Its Always Something" last night's something went from replacing bolts in the toilet tank to a brand new toilet, which we STARTED installing at 9:30pm:lmao:

And since we are a 1 bathroom house we really HAD to do it that late. And when it was done I just didn't get back to post.

So a little late here's the QOTD:

What was your favorite Cruise ship excursion, or land based day trip?

Mine was the Forts and Junkanoo tour we wound up taking in Nassau when we got diverted from St. Thomas due to Hurricane Omar. Very fun.

That stinks about the toilet. I'm glad you got it fixed!

My favorite tour part of a trip was probably snorkling in Belize. I went to Belize about 6 years ago with a couple of friends and I think it is my all time favorite trip. We stayed on a little island about 30 min off the coast called Cay Caulker. It was super relaxing. We went snorkling every day, ate really good food, I read about 3 books, we took naps in the hamock every afternoon...it was awesome :cloud9: The best part was one day we went on a guided snorkling trip and we made 3 stops. We stopped by the reef which was super colorful and saw a big eagle ray, we stopped at protected under-water "gardens" area and we went to shark-ray alley where there were tons of nurse sharks and sting rays. Our guide caught a nurse shark that was probably 3 or 4 feet long and I got to hold it. :) At first I didn't want to and then I thought "I will probably never get the chance to do something like this" so I just did it and it was SO COOL :cool1: It was pretty much the best trip ever!

I am getting better. I am really trying to make sure I get the things I order personalized the way I want them so they are more healthy...sometimes I feel like Sally from When Harry Met Sally :rotfl: I am trying to keep myself from ordering a soda, but sometimes that one sneaks in :confused3 If possible, I do try to look at the menu before hand and make a decision based on the nutrition info available.

Have a great day everyone!

/QUOTE]

Well, that sound like a great weekend to me!! I had a 12 hour crop on Saturday and did snack on the M&M's. But nothing else!

We already have ice this morning, DD12 fell on the driveway but managed to balance her science project and her lunch without dropping either! And she was okay. But cars in the ditch, traffic everywhere. Snow coming tonight (8 to 12"), but nothing compares to what my family in the Chicago area are preparing for, so I won't complain!!

Defrosting a turkey in preparing for our snuggle up and stay home day that is coming tomorrow.

So, working out? Why not, what else will we have to do?! :rotfl:

Feeling good after my 30 Day Shred level 2 this morning, although a little tired. I didn't sleep well at all last night. Had trouble falling asleep last night then had a fitful sleep.

I'm negative on my net calories so I will see what is for lunch. I'm ready to go grocery shopping on Wednesday but I do need to work on meal planning and a list so I can stick to it and hopefully spend less.

I'm thinking dinner will be lentil curry with brown rice and broccoli, cauliflower carrot veggies. I have some left over chicken my brother can warm up for his if he feels he needs more protein. It's been awhile since I made a curry dish and it sounds so good.

I just started here last week and I'm in need of some much needed motivation. I have everything right in front of me, but no motivation to use it!

A little back story~
I've had 3 girls in 5 years and it has taken a toll on my body. I've never been thin, just average. I always weighed around 145 before kids. The thinnest I have been was when I got my tonsils out when my firstborn was 9 months old (only if I could do that again!). It was horrible and couldn't eat much for 2 months, but I'd seriously do it all over again to drop this weight. I dropped 50lbs then gained it all back when I got pregnant with my 2nd DD. Lost some then gained it back with my last DD(10 months).

My DH bought me a treadmill a couple years ago and it's just sitting in the basement. I can probably count on two hands how many times I've used it. We have a Wii Fit..used it once. My husband always ask when I'm going to start and I always make an excuse: my back hurts, I'm tired, I was up early with the baby, blah blah blah. I just don't know how to get motivated! Someone please help!

Oh, and I don't really eat bad. I just go w.o eating during the day. I'm so busy during the day with my kids that all I do at night is snack. Ugh...I just want this weight GONE!

Let's all do the chant and dance together...
NO MORE SNOW! :dance3: NO MORE SNOW! :dance3: NO MORE SNOW!

AMEN to that!!! I don't have any other place to put it!!!

Drive by posting, went to the foot Dr. Gave me some shoe inserts and a script for a boot. Gonna try the inserts first.

Have to see him again in 3 weeks. It's actually been feeling pretty good the last few days.

OK gotta get the boys!! See y'all later!

I get it!!! Are your kids little? I found it next to impossible to find the time to work out when my kids were very little. In fact, I just started working out again after years of no exercise. My kids are now 8, 9 and 11. I can leave them for a little bit to hit the gym. The other thing is start small. Just tell yourself that you are going to get on the treadmill for 5 or 10 minutes, then do it. It is really hard to get started, but not so hard once you start walking.

Same thing with the eating at night. I posted early in this challenge how hard that was for me, because it is "my" time to relax, have a glass of wine and EAT. I have to make a conscious effort of knowing what I am going to eat for the day and plan. I find that if I eat smaller portions, more often, it helps a lot. I started using Sparkpeople in December to track my food and exercise.

Hang in there!

Oh, I forgot to add I've even had TWO different gym memberships. Total fail. I made excuses for that all the time too. I told DH that I hated leaving my DDs in the nursery and wouldn't stay very long. My girls are 6, 3, and 10 months. I'm exhausted at the end of the day.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes to eat at night. I feel like it's "ok" since I go all day without eating. Hopefully I can get some motivation here. Thanks for the advice!
