TEAM DONALD--Biggest Loser 11 Spring Team Challenge

Hello Team Donald!

I still need two coaches. I have some "regulars" who have volunteered to take a second week, but I really see that as a last resort, because we will need folks to volunteer for April and May as well.

So the days I am looking for are:
3/4--3/10
3/25--3/31

Please, even if you are new consider volunteering to coach a week. I can split a week up, but to be honest that creates more work for me and I have a bunch going on right now.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Thank you to Jimmduck for taking the first week. :)

Just need one more coach for 3/25-3/31. Please pm me if you can help!:goodvibes

Sounds lovely!!!:cloud9: Is there any chance you are British? A few things you have said have me wondering.....If not, sorry, just my crazy brain at work making something up!

Nope, not British, but I would like to have a neat accent like that! ;)

In response to the QOTD yesterday my favorite cruise excursion would have to be either the Jeep adventure on St. Croix, our Helmet dive at Coral World on St. Thomas, or our private tour of St. Maarten with Bernard's Tours on our wedding cruise. I know the question was favorite but they were all so much fun!

Also a little OT but are there any Michiganians here? My husband, who is originally from MI, and I are thinking about moving back to MI from FL and I am just curious. :)

Ugh! More s#*w tomorrow and Wednesday and maybe Thursday :scared1:

I can't take it anymore. How many days until spring? I'm supposed to drive to Westborough Thursday for training, which was moved from last week so we'll see what happens this week.

Well I feel pretty organized and today is officially our first day of tax season in the office. I jumped back on the exercise wagon last night and hope to keep it up! Fingers crossed!

Hope everyone had a great Monday!

Thanks, I'm making note of this, I need some food options!!! When I went last March with a friend and her kids, we found ourselves looking for moderately priced food and ending up with Italian most every meal. It didn't seem like a true Paris experience food-wise. I'm not too crazy about the War Museum either but DH & DS have never been. I think I will end up seeing most of the sites I saw last March over again so they can see the big things. I really want to go to Versailles and DLP but I guess that will be another trip.
I will try to catch the lights coming on. Didn't see that last March even though we were there 7 days, I just saw it off or on!

My cousins new wife has a website dedicated to Paris and she suggested a restaurant that I was sad we didn't get to try. We stayed in DLP, so we basically wore the same clothes all day in Paris and were comfy for walking which meant we also had to dine in those clothes too. When we finally found this place (we were starving) and didn't have a reservation and honestly looked terrible, we were turned away. I totally forgot that they were open for lunch or else we would have gone back another day and tried.

The name is The Ambassade d'Auvergne and they're not far from the Arts et Metiers stop. They are known for their aligot which is this amazing good looking cheesey mashed potato thing that looks like huge string cheese.

They have a website with their menu. If you google "L'Ambassade D'Auvergne aligot" then click on images on the left there are two pictures of waiters showing the aligot. I'm so hungry right now I can't stop drooling popcorn::

When are you going again?

Ugh! More s#*w tomorrow and Wednesday and maybe Thursday
I can't take it either. So had enough. Now I'm worrying about the ice on my roof and ice dams. A friend of mine had one and water leaked in her house, and she spend 600$ for someone to remove the ice from the roof. But you're right, spring has to come, just not soon enough.

Oh, I forgot to add I've even had TWO different gym memberships. Total fail. I made excuses for that all the time too. I told DH that I hated leaving my DDs in the nursery and wouldn't stay very long. My girls are 6, 3, and 10 months. I'm exhausted at the end of the day.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes to eat at night. I feel like it's "ok" since I go all day without eating. Hopefully I can get some motivation here. Thanks for the advice!
:hug:It's so tough when the kids are little. Hang in there, try to make little changes as you can, make healthier meals, drink your water, maybe try to have some healthy snacks available for the night time eating. I only have one ds, and can't imagine how busy you are, and it is hard to make time for yourself, and you deserve it. It does get easier as they get older.

Let's all do the chant and dance together...
NO MORE SNOW! :dance3: NO MORE SNOW! :dance3: NO MORE SNOW!
I'm dancing!!:banana::dance3::dance3::dance3::banana:

When you go out to eat do you have any knee jerk habits, such as ordering the same size soda, or always getting desert no matter what? Do you want to change those habits? If you do then post a plan to help you do it.
We've been trying not to eat out much, limit fast food to once a month, and I'll usually get a salad, or we'll go to panera a lot and either have soup or salad. Funny, Chili's is a favorite of ours, but we go there mainly for the Molten chocolate lava cake, and so I haven't been there in a while. I'd say my eating out habits have definitely improved.

Kathy, glad that you made it back safely from your brothers. Sounds like you will have a chance to work off some calories shoveling later this week -- sorry!
Thanks for reminding me of the positives of all this snow!!

We’ll definitely have to walk once it’s warmer and I’ll give you my pros and cons on Disney, NCL and RCCL.
:
Definitely. I'd love to hear all about them.

I guess I missed him on there because I was looking at Bobby Sherman. I watched that show too.
Ah, bobby sherman, now you're talking.

Awe I'm gonna cry!! I'm trying to hang in there. Had a gain this week but I know why so I'm going to regroup and keep moving.
:thumbsup2 You can do it!! Never give up, one day at a time, we will get there.

Good evening donalds!! Had a busy day at work, and a girl brought a delish chocolate cake in, and I avoided it at lunch but at the end of the day, I did end up having a small piece, and writing it down, so that is something. Had chicken and roasted vegies for dinner, and have plenty of leftovers for tomorrow.
Be careful if you're getting snow this week. Looks like much of the country is getting slammed. Have a great night.

I just started here last week and I'm in need of some much needed motivation. I have everything right in front of me, but no motivation to use it!

Oh, and I don't really eat bad. I just go w.o eating during the day. I'm so busy during the day with my kids that all I do at night is snack. Ugh...I just want this weight GONE!

I was just telling my DD the other day that getting my tonsils out when I was 20 was the lowest I have weighed in my adult life. Makes for a great diet! But like you, it doesn't stay gone.

You CAN do this, and you are doing it for your girls. You want to be there to enjoy your grandchildren and great grandchildren. They need to see a good role model that eats healthy and exercises. You can exercise with them. Lie on the floor and lift the baby up from your chest, repeat a few times and you will have pretty much done your upper body workout! Take them to the park and play chase. Put in an exercise DVD and let them all work out with you. They will think it is fun and you will get the benefit.

Use your time at night to prepare meals and snacks for the next day. I had to do that when mine were young because they wanted to be held all the time and it was impossible to make something for myself. Portion out leftovers in a single serving and already cut up into bites if you need to so you can just pop it in to heat the next day. Cut up veggies and fruit. Measure out your water into a pitcher and put it in the fridge so it is easy to grab and refil your cup. Put your food in a special place in the refrigerator so you can quickly and easily grab it. Just as many on here have to fix their lunch and snacks before they go to work, you do too! :thumbsup2

And go ahead and prepare snacks for the kids too. It is a lot less tempting to sneak a handful of Goldfish if you are just handing them a prepared container than if you are pouring them out of the bag. You might checkout OAMM for ideas to prepare meals ahead of time including Breakfast and lunch so you aren't trying to cook with little ones demanding your time.

Do you have any hobbies you can do in the evening to keep your hands busy? Scrapbooking, needlework, knitting?

Evening all!

I will start working on the posts during the day tomorrow after I get home from taking Ashleigh to the doctors. Hopefully we can get there and back before the snow gets too bad. My boss needs me to stop by work tomorrow morning as there is a new girl starting at our place tomorrow and she has a few clients. Still trying to decide if I should just keep Izzie home too though it will be easier to have her at school when I go to the doctors.

Weigh ins have really dropped off this week. I forgot to calculate the averages last week but definitely down from last week.

Mickey won the week by 13.4 pounds!!!! Great going Team Mickey!!!! Mickey is still 26 pounds behind Donald so they need some big losses this week! I plan on helping out this week! We have a few people that need to be excused this week! I hope I don't forget that they asked to be excused but it's not that big of a deal to miss one week.

Going to try and watch something I recorded last night. Not sure if it will transfer into the bedroom. I would love to just get into bed and fall asleep. I plan on getting up for 2-3 miles in the morning. Foot is feeling better tonight since I took it easy on it today.

If you're expecting bad weather, please be careful!!!!

TTFN :tigger:

OK stupid little milestone but a milestone non the less.

I wore jeans.... all day. Typically I come home and put yoga pants on as soon as I walk in the door but today I wore jeans and didn't even notice!!!

Went to the podiatrist today and he was pleased with my sneaker choice, I went with an Asics running shoe. Gave me some tips on stretching but to not over stretch. I picked up some better shoe inserts. And he said I could still train for the 5K, so I'm pretty stoked about that.

OK off to put the kidlets to bed. We probably won't have school tomorrow but they haven't called it yet. We'll have to get up at 5:30 to check, blech.

Alrighty, been a busy night here, and then time out to relax with some Human Target and Lie to Me. Somewhere in there I remembered I was coach for this week:idea:

So let me go catch up a bit and I'll be back.

Hey folks! Just a quick reminder... If you still want to get your numbers in for this round, I will be compiling WIN results tomorrow evening. I'm so excited to see how we're all progressing! :goodvibes

So I'm going to post these replies and then catch up tomorrow. Just too tired.

So here we go:

Asktriplets: Yes, eating is definitely a behavior. I think most of us have learned that being hungry is not the only reason we eat. Maybe not even the major reason. Takes quite awhile to figure out what else besides hunger pushes us, and then we have to work on changing that.

As for bikini boot camp, I haven’t tried it. But I’m a fan of anything that makes you feel good at the end. I don’t really subscribe to the “No pain no gain” theory. Can’t wait to hear how you do with it.

Zoesmama3: If you really want to be technical Richard Dean is too old for me too. But age is just a number, and has NOTHING to do with true love.:rotfl2:

Dona: We’ll get em next week. I’m sure my weight didn’t help our scores either. Oh well.

Disney1990: Great Job!! 1 of these days I’ll get there

Shawn: I still find myself scanning the menu looking for something that sounds delicious or something that I don't cook at home instead of considering something nutrious.

This is 1 of my habits too. But then I’m not really that much of a cook. I can cook and you’ll eat it and probably like it. But my culinary skills are not terribly varied, so when we go out I look for “fun stuff”

Kathy: Sounds like you had a nice weekend. Good luck with the rest of your training. Wish I was doing it.

Lisa: Spring is coming! :lmao: not if you look at the weather channel

As for journaling points. I think I tried that once. It just doesn’t seem to be something I can stick with. I don’t know why.

And for tightening bolts. That’s what DH did a few weeks ago when we noticed the leak behind the toilet. I asked him THEN if we should get a new 1. Nope just need new bolts he said. Well the old ones literally disintegrated in the the tank and finally came out in pieces and I don’t know what he did to the tank. But a new toilet is what we have

pjilla:
Well.... it has taken a long time to NOT have those knee jerk reactions to eating out. But now I have NEW habits that are good ones! Since giving up Diet Coke, I always order seltzer water. We were never a dessert-ordering family, unless it was a special occasion, so no problems there. But now I really try to research what I am eating BEFORE we go. And if I can't find something that fits in my calories for that day, I order something on the menu but ask to have it modified. Last week when we celebrated DS's birthday at Uno's I really wanted a thin crust pizza... and fortunately they offer a multi-grain version that has more fiber. But even with the lightest sounding toppings, the pizzas were just too high in calories (BTW, do you all know to double check the serving sizes on most restaurant entrees? The "individual" thin crust pizzas at Uno's are mostly 3 servings... a few are 2 servings.)

I ordered the roasted eggplant pizza and asked them to use less than half of the normal amount of cheese and just a smidge of pesto. Pesto is made with oil, so it is VERY caloric and I'm not a huge fan, so I didn't miss it. Same with the cheese and it still had more than enough to satisfy me. The roasted veggies were great... tomato, eggplant, onions.

But that said, when checking the NI at the restaurant kiosk, I had to make note of the fact that the pizza was considered 3 servings. And each serving had 6 points... that is 18 points for the entire pizza, which is an entire day's worth of points for me!! Fortunately I had eaten very lightly earlier in the day in anticipation of this dinner. I enjoyed half of the pizza and seltzer. It was filling enough. And DS shared a few bites of his special birthday dessert.

Well... all that rambling has lead me to say, in conclusion.... that I have, with some work and research, developed NEW, HEALTHIER knee jerk reactions when it comes to eating out!

WOW!!! You really rock the house with this.

This is why I love asking these questions. They are not so much to share my knowledge with y’all. Cause we ALL know I have none. But I ask so I can gain some of yours. I have to admit it would NEVER occur to me to ask that a meal be modified like that. We don’t eat at Uno but I should be able to do this at any restaurant really.

Only thing I can’t do is sub seltzer for soda. Just can’t stand the stuff. Regular water is what I have to get down to. But we don’t go out as often as we used to either.

Phors: so glad you are finally feeling better. And I know what you mean with the splurges. I am like that too. Since we don’t out every week anymore, a little splurge is not a big deal. And we don’t keep soda in the house unless we have company or 1 of us isn’t feeling well.

Following my little cruise obsession right along here:

What was your favorite show on a cruise? For those who haven't cruised your favorite show/concert that attended

Mine is Alfred & Seymour. OMG they hands down made the cruise:worship: We could not breathe for laughing and still to this day laugh whenever we think about the show. Hope they're on my next cruise.

Good MOrning Team Donald We got light dusting and I don't think it is doing anything her but it is coming. Those in New England it looks like you are going to get hammered. Stay safe out there.

Yesterday was a good day for me. I stayed slightly under points, watched what I ate, journaled all my food and got a work out in. Let's see if I can do it again today. It is hard this week since we are having exams. During exams the cafeteria is closed so a couple of groups set up coffee pots in the teacher's room and people bring in food to share. I had two exams yesterday so I never made it in there till about 12:30. I did allow myself a couple of potato chips (yes I can stop at 3) and a small amount of dip which upset my stomach for the rst of the day.

How is everyone doing with journaling for the week?

Sorry I don't have any time for responses. I will make time this afternoon.

Have a happy and healthy day.

What was your favorite show on a cruise? For those who haven't cruised your favorite show/concert that attended
I would have to say Garth Brooks. I saw him 4 times, once was in NYC Central Park but we were in front of one of the big tv screens so we didn't see him in person, but the atmosphere was amazing, and on the way out of the park we saw his bus drive right by us. He puts on an amazing show. A close second was the country fest that included Tim Mcgraw and the Dixie Chicks, we lucked out with 2nd row seats, and I wasn't a huge Tim Mcgraw fan til that day.

How is everyone doing with journaling for the week?
Nice job at work yesterday, Dona. We will get there. I am journalling still, so every day but saturday.

Just up to watch the news and weather. I'm obsessed with watching it, and every time I turn on the tv, i hope they're going to say the storm has blown out to sea and is going to miss us.:rotfl2:

Have a nice, safe and warm day. Careful in the snow.

Good morning TEAM DONALD!

Feeling good after my 30 Day Shred level 2 this morning, although a little tired. I didn't sleep well at all last night. Had trouble falling asleep last night then had a fitful sleep.

Wow, Melissa! I'm impressed -- I've never made it past level 1 on the Shred! :worship:

I just started here last week and I'm in need of some much needed motivation. I have everything right in front of me, but no motivation to use it!

:welcome: 3Princesses04! Thanks for joining our challenge!

Drive by posting, went to the foot Dr. Gave me some shoe inserts and a script for a boot. Gonna try the inserts first.

Have to see him again in 3 weeks. It's actually been feeling pretty good the last few days.

Glad that you are feeling better, Buffy! :flower3:

Same thing with the eating at night. I posted early in this challenge how hard that was for me, because it is "my" time to relax, have a glass of wine and EAT. I have to make a conscious effort of knowing what I am going to eat for the day and plan. I find that if I eat smaller portions, more often, it helps a lot. I started using Sparkpeople in December to track my food and exercise.

All great strategies! :thumbsup2

Also a little OT but are there any Michiganians here? My husband, who is originally from MI, and I are thinking about moving back to MI from FL and I am just curious. :)

Don't know about MI but everyone I've met from the midwest are as nice as they can be! :flower3:

Ugh! More s#*w tomorrow and Wednesday and maybe Thursday :scared1:

Sounds like you are all ready for tax season! :goodvibes

Wouldn't that be nice? :beach:

Have a great day DONALDS! :donald:

:wave2: Good Morning. Feeling so much better than yesterday. Amazing how a good night's sleep really helps.

:ssst: There is a pound missing and I am hoping that if I am very, very quiet it won't find me again. . . I am pretty sure that I know where it is hiding so as long as I can avoid the pantry maybe I will be okay.:goodvibes

I am originally from Illinios and this would be my deciding factor:
(Wasn't sure what parts of MI and FL you meant so I just picked roughly central. )

NOAA Weather from Grand Rapids, MI:
Today: A 50 percent chance of snow. Cloudy, with a steady temperature around 18. Blustery, with a northeast wind between 16 and 21 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

NOAA Weather from Melbourne, FL
Today...Partly cloudy. Highs in the upper 70s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph increasing to 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon.

We are in Deltona, FL right now and would be moving to the Grand Rapids area of Michigan. It is true that it is a BIG weather difference especially for me as I have lived here all my life. It goes both ways though because although the winter can suck up there and can be really long too, I absolutely cannot stand the summers down here, its so hot you don't even want to go out of the house. Plus it is so much prettier up there especially in that area than anything down here.

One of the main reasons we want to move is that we are both outdoorsy small town lifestyle laid back people and there are just way to many people around here and nothing to do, for us anyways. I know a lot of people like it here because there is a lot to do as far as going out drinking and clubbing etc. but we are not into that so there's not much for us to do except dinner, movie, bowling. But then there are SO many people we find that even hard to enjoy! Example we tried to go to outback steakhouse the other night, not ONE parking space in the lot, ugh! I cannot stand so many people everywhere you go, all the time! Plus my sis and law and her hubby are always doing fun stuff in MI skiing, snowmobiling, they have a cabin, camping, etc. which is stuff we would like to do but don't have the time or chance or place to do it here.

Another is that we have talked about moving somewhere else before, but if we are going to move we want to be by family and my hubby's fam is up there, who I get along great with and love dearly. I really wouldn't mind moving somewhere else in Florida but then we wouldn't be close to any family so we are family oriented and that just seems stupid for us to do that.

We are still just in the talking about it phase right now but I am kinda excited. I know Dave really misses it up there and would love to move back and not that I would be doing it just for him because I have always really liked it up there when we visit, but I know it would make him happy and WE can't be happy as a couple if one of us is unhappy. I don't really think I will ever be 100% for it because there will always be something holding me back whether it be missing my family or just scared to move across the country but it may also be a good thing, force me to be more independent and all that. We just got married and are trying to start our lives together but there is just not much happening for us here (case in point: I have been trying to get a job in my profession for 7 months and the best I have gotten is a part time as needed sub job) and I think maybe a change can be a good thing. Really the only negative for me is that I will miss my fam and that will definitely be hard but it will give them somewhere to come visit and we can come visit here too! :)

Ok my rambling is over now I just started typing and couldn't stop  Feels good to get it all down though :thumbsup2 We definitely have some things to think about, if we do move it will not be until the Summer time, we have some money coming to us so we will be waiting for that and then we will decide.

Fighting a bad headache today! I'll try and get the results up later today or tomorrow morning!

Stay safe! Already got close to 6" on my deck!

Having a productive day. I got my 45 minutes of exercise(WATP) in earlier after I had 2 boiled eggs for breakfast with some green tea. Then I've been working on laundry and cleaning up my room. It had gotten horrible. I had taken toys from dd's room when she refused to pick them up and then stuff was just getting thrown in there and was a complete pig sty with stuff all over. The opposite side of the bed that I sleep on always has various toys, stuffed animals or books that dd brings to bed when she sleeps with me. I've still got a little bit to finish and a vacuuming. Then some major paper sorting. I really need a file cabinet so I can start this file system I'd read about a while back. I'm soooo tired of paper clutter all over my desk and my current file locations in my bedroom.

Oh well I've got laundry to fold after I grab some lunch then on to the dishes I neglected last night. I think I need to get up after I eat and do them. Sometimes I end up eating more because dd eats super slow usually. Its not that I eat fast its just plain fact that she will take an hour to eat dinner sometimes. She has a motormouth and that doesn't help. But anyway when I eat more I end up with that bloaty feeling when you know you've ate too much and then I get lazy on dishes thinking I'll go back later then don't.

I'll try to get back later I still have QOTD and reading to catch up. :guilty:

Hi all, it's 8:30 pm here and I'm just getting around to posting for the day. We did not have school today, it was teacher conference day. Being the slack Mama I am, I did not schedule any conferences. No teacher had requested a conference with me either. I've done them a couple of times here, incl once this fall.....you get **10** minutes with each teacher and they usually start with "What can I help you with today?" and they don't have anything in particular planned to go over with you about your child. We do not get report cards until next week so the timing just seems really odd to me too. In the States, we didn't have regular conferences with the MS teachers but you could schedule one if needed.

Anyway....me & DS got to sleep in this morning:yay: Got up around 8:30 and did 40 minutes on the elliptical, showered, washed sheets and remade beds and did a few other chores around the house. Then went shopping this afternoon with 2 girlfriends and their daughters. I bought a shirt that is very tight around the middle that I really like but will need to lose 10 lbs to be able to wear it. It's a warm weather shirt so I'll pull it out every now and then as incentive to keep working!!!

I've been in this habit before, gain a couple pounds over the weekend, and lose them before friday, and have a virtually a maintaining challenge, but I have no big events the next 3 weekends before the princess half trip, so I am determined to maintain control over these next 3 weeks, and reach my goal of ONE-derland by 2/23.

This is me. I get so motivated and finally get down to a new number and usually I can just see that new number on the scale for one day before drifting back up. Then I have to fight to get back to it, it finally becomes steady and I work like crazy to get to a new number and the cycle just repeats and repeats and repeats. But this time, I am not giving up no matter what! I've just accepted this is how its gonna be and I just have to make the best choices I can day to day and hope my body responds. Good luck over the next few weeks Kathy! I am so excited for all you Princess girlsprincess:

Spring is coming! Are you going to greet spring closer to your goal or are you going to look like you emerged from hibernation? What you do for the next 30 days will make the difference -- even little changes really add up! :thumbsup2

:yay:January is over and February is one step closer to SPRING!!! It's bitter cold here but no snow right now! ! ! I am going to try to do very well this month. I always feel so motivated at the start of a new month, it's like a clean slate and you can start over fresh. Forget about the stumbles and disappointments of January! I am challenging myself with a mini-goal this month!

Well Donalds, I am happy that I weighed in on Friday since I fell off the wagon this weekend! I went to a B&B for a scrapbooking weekend which means I sat on my butt for 2 1/2 days and ate yummy things that did not quite fit in with my lifestyle plan :(

Well, today is a new day and I have started it off right (oatmeal, coffee, and a luna bar snack so far). I'm heading down to Florida on Wednesday to visit my parents for a week (provided the white stuff and ice don't paralyze the airport) so I will most likely not be weighing in next week. If all goes according to plan I will stick to my healthy living plan and add some nice walking/jogging OUTSIDE for the week. My parents are behind me and even asked about the types of food I am eating so they can buy some stuff for the house

Keep up the good work Donalds and make better choices than I did this weekend

That's the right attitude:thumbsup2 Put it behind you and keep on truckin'
Enjoy your trip to Florida and visiting with your parents.

I just started here last week and I'm in need of some much needed motivation. I have everything right in front of me, but no motivation to use it!

A little back story~
I've had 3 girls in 5 years and it has taken a toll on my body. I've never been thin, just average. I always weighed around 145 before kids. The thinnest I have been was when I got my tonsils out when my firstborn was 9 months old (only if I could do that again!). It was horrible and couldn't eat much for 2 months, but I'd seriously do it all over again to drop this weight. I dropped 50lbs then gained it all back when I got pregnant with my 2nd DD. Lost some then gained it back with my last DD(10 months).

My DH bought me a treadmill a couple years ago and it's just sitting in the basement. I can probably count on two hands how many times I've used it. We have a Wii Fit..used it once. My husband always ask when I'm going to start and I always make an excuse: my back hurts, I'm tired, I was up early with the baby, blah blah blah. I just don't know how to get motivated! Someone please help!

Oh, and I don't really eat bad. I just go w.o eating during the day. I'm so busy during the day with my kids that all I do at night is snack. Ugh...I just want this weight GONE!

You've gotten some great advice, esp from LTS. Try to start with a good breakfast before the kids even get up if possible. Is there any chance your husband would consider making breakfast for the 2 of you each morning? If not, a hard boiled egg, fruit, whole wheat toast or bagel would be very quick to prepare and eat if you have the eggs boiled the night before - do several at a time. Try to think of things you can just pop in your mouth throughout the day - low fat string cheese, grapes, slices of lunch meat, whole grain breads, microwave soup and sip with one hand out of a mug, etc. I would try to get as much protein as possible. You need to eat throughout the day to have strength to take care of those precious girls:goodvibes Keep experimenting and you will find what works for you. Once you have some more energy, you will be hooked! I find the biggest motivators for me are results! Keep track of your weight, measurements or just the minutes you exercise and challenge yourself to go just a little further every day. You will still have days when you don't feel up for it, but just keep trying:goodvibes Please continue to post and let us know how you're doing!

Nope, not British, but I would like to have a neat accent like that! ;)

Oops!

Also a little OT but are there any Michiganians here? My husband, who is originally from MI, and I are thinking about moving back to MI from FL and I am just curious. :)

I'm not from Mi, but just wanted to chime in and comment that I've met alot of Michiganders here in Germany. Most are involved in the automotive industry. Stuttgart is the headquarters for Mercedes & Porsche and there's a huge automotive industry here. They are some of the nicest people! And, they take the weather here in stride and say it's even WORSE in Michigan! (I can't imagine) When it's snowy and icy and I would not dream of stepping foot outside the house, my friend from Mi will come by and pick me up in her little car and take off like it's nothing!

Thanks, I added this to the list. Hope we can get in:goodvibes We probably will only pack jeans to wear and aren't looking for anything fancy. We are going the weekend of Feb 18th!!!

GREAT advice::yes::

OK stupid little milestone but a milestone non the less.

I wore jeans.... all day. Typically I come home and put yoga pants on as soon as I walk in the door but today I wore jeans and didn't even notice!!!

OMG, they were on our Med cruise and they were hilarious!!! Even more funny was that about 1/2 the audience were Europeans who didn't really get their humor. In fact, we heard there were alot of complaints about their act but we just thought they were so funny!

As good as they were, I'd still say the Disney shows on the Cruise were the best. We liked the Golden Mickeys.

How is everyone doing with journaling for the week?

sigh....not so good! Did much better last week. Tomorrow is a new day!

:ssst: There is a pound missing and I am hoping that if I am very, very quiet it won't find me again. . . I am pretty sure that I know where it is hiding so as long as I can avoid the pantry maybe I will be okay.:goodvibes

:tiptoe:

:rotfl:

I did very well with eating today and hope to keep it up for the rest of the week. After getting so close to my 25pound clippie, I am now back up again and having to fight to get back down there. I had some triggers yesterday that really had me bingeing like crazy on junk. I sat and thought about it for a long time last night and realized in hindsight what had set me off. I am hoping to do better next time I have these emotions. I need to step back, take a deep breath and find a diversion:3dglasses

Hope you are staying warm and safe if you are getting the big storm today!
