Down 1 lb this week. Seems like a let down after last week but really that was an anomaly and 1 is way more realistic.
I have moved with my laptop into my scrapbook room. Which means I have spent the last few days in here on the computer but NOT scrapbooking! But I am closer than before.

I have had some stuff going on that is taking my time but since I am staring at it all I am hoping to get something done. I am really more comfortable in here because my comfy chair is here.
I bought a small sized Daily planner yesterday-- it has one page per day except Sat/Sun are on a day together. It is by Mead and is 8x5, so too big to lose, but small enough to take with me if I need to. I realized that I think one reason I am better at journaling on the computer is because it is easy. I can always find it! With paper I end up setting it down somewhere and misplacing it or can't find a pen or pencil. I am going to make an effort to just leave it right next to or on top of my computer. And since it started on Jan 1 I am going to use those extra pages in the front to scrapbook in some inspirational quotes and information. May also randomly add some inspiration throughout so I find it along the way.
If you have been on a cruise what is your favorite ship? If you haven't would you like to, and which ship do you want to try the most?
I have been on two cruises, the Disney Wonder and the MSC Orchestra. I loved them both. Well, the
Disney cruise was actually the cruise from hell because we had terrible weather so it was cold and windy-- no
Castaway Cay
and we missed our Palo Brunch reservation because of the chaos of trying to dock at CC. The last night was BAD-- there were huge swells, water coming up over the mid decks and when it is that bad no stabilizers can help. DD and I get very motion sick so we were not happy campers. Lots of people were sick, including crew. BUT, we did enjoy the ship and the shows and I would love to go back. When we got off the boat I swore I wouldn't even so much as go on the Jungle Cruise after that but I did change my mind.
The MSC cruise was a 7 day of DH and I only and it was wonderful. Our 20th anniversary is coming up and he has told me to figure out where I want to go or want to do. I really want to do a cruise but I want to take my girls-- they want to go again- and he wants a grown ups only trip.
Let me just answer the QOTD We have nevere been on a cruise. Dh is afraid of getting sea sick. We are thinking of maybe doing a 3 or 4 day to see how he handles it. We have been looking at some river cruises here in the northeast. The boats are small. The one that has interest dh is the "Lobster Cruise"
I get horrible motion sickness. I can't even look at a swing or Merry Go Round without getting sick. The patch you put behind your ear worked wonderfully for me. No problems at all. I would be careful about a river cruise--- they are probably much worse for motion sickness. They don't have stabilizers and will rock and sway with every move of the water. It could really turn him off to what would be a whole different experience.
I would look into a short "cruise to nowhere" or a 3 day that can give you an idea of the experience before you commit. When I decided to try again on the 2nd cruise it was because our first stop was in Key West. I told DH that if the first night on the ship was awful then I was getting off and renting a car to drive back to Miami!
My weight loss goals are modest - just 5 lbs a month - but if I did that for two years, it would be 120 lbs.
I am not going to be losing 5 - 6 pounds a week at times like I used to do at WW. But I feel I am on a balanced plan I can live with for life.
Not about deprivation, good foods/bad foods, eat this don't eat that for me - doesn't work.
Sounds like you have a great attitude and have really adopted a healthy lifestyle instead of a diet. That is the way to do it!
I was a little bummed that I only lost 1 lb this week but then I remind myself that 1-2 pounds a week is normal and sustainable. More than that is not realistic for the long term.
That said, I still have an Alaskan cruise on my bucket list.
Truth be told, if I won the "Disney Cruise" lottery, I'd definitely pick a Mediterrean cruise!! A trip to Europe is definitely at the very top of my bucket list~!
Anyone have any easy, quick, light chicken breast recipes?? I know most people cook these so often, but I don't. I find breast meat dry Or I might splurge and make my DMIL's swiss chicken again.... DH and DD really enjoyed it last week and I still have most of the ingredients. I could make that for them and make something else for myself, as I don't enjoy it enough for the calories. And of course, poor DS will end up with eggs or fishsticks.
P
Alaska cruise and Med cruise are on my bucket list also

I told DH that I want to see if I can get stronger and better on my feet. Both of those would be a challenge in a wheelchair. I want to be able to walk and climb to really enjoy them.
I have a TON of good chicken breast recipes. If it is dry then it is most likely you are cooking it too long. I shouldn't be. The Swiss Chicken seems like a waste if you have to cook two other meals also. Let me find some recipes and post them on the Recipe board for you.
Just popping in briefly since I'm still so sick. My resolution this week though (come monday) is to be better about coming here and posting and offering support. I've been very remiss about that. I need to get things in order here.
I know someone that is a great nag and can kick you in the butt to get over here.

Just sayin. . .
