Hello Team Donald!
We made it back to our temporary home in Germany today. I am so thrilled that we have less than 18 more months to go in this assignment. We are going to enjoy it and make the most out of living in Europe but it will nice to return to life in the US one day.
Hope everyone did well at WI today. Sounds like we have some nice losses!
I have not weighed in yet. I was up on Thursday so I didn't want to submit that, was not about to weigh in today after travelling for 20 hours, so I guess I need to bite the bullet and send in tomorrow morning's weight. I hope I'm not up. I got 16/18 HH points this week but I did continue to splurge a little on eating since it was the last week of our vacation. I need to get serious tomorrow, get the Holiday weight off and start to make some forward progress.
Yesterday started out I assumed I would not be able to do the HH since we were travelling. But, I started with drinking 1 liter of water very early in the morning so I could have time to go the bathroom way before flying. Then, turned on my cell phone timer and got in 10 minutes of walking around the terminal waiting on first plane. Got to Atlanta and walked from Terminal A to Terminal E. This took 20 minutes so I got in my exercise portion of HH! I actually had no idea you could walk from Terminal to Terminal in Atlanta! We have always just taken the tram. But, I remember Rose saying she and Mike had to run from one terminal to another to make a connection so I asked my DH and he said of course you can walk between terminals and he walked with me. DS took the tram! I had a large salad in ATL for lunch so got in Veggies HH! I drank another liter of water at lunch so I now had in my Water HH! We had a long layover in ATL so I had plenty of time to go the bathroom several times. I chose water for every beverage selection but they have a couple where beer is free so of course I have to get the free beer

It's surprising how many healthy choices you can make if you are really trying
There has been a lot of great information shared on here and some great websites. My favorite is the one for volksmarching in the US! (this is the German word for a group walk, usu 5K or 10K) I had no idea! There is an active club in my hometown so I will be checking that out when we move back. I have also picked up some great tips for preparing veggies that I will be putting to use. And, on the last challenge I learned from Lindsay that she uses her cell phone stopwatch when she runs. I then started using my cell phone stopwatch and timer for all kinds of things. I love to give myself a reward after x minutes of doing something like exercise or chores. I also like to time myself doing different things to see if I can break my record the next time. It helps too when I'm hungry but don't need to be eating anything at that moment to see how long I can go w/o eating or to promise myself something after x minutes. Just mind games that keep things interesting and keep me on track.
We got everything unpacked and put away today and I did all our laundry before we left the US so I feel like I am a little ahead right now

I just need to get some food tomorrow and take down the Christmas stuff. I want it done by Monday. I had a really interesting thought today, it seems like every time we take that long flight it physically gets easier and easier. My first thought was that I am just getting used to it but then I realized that by being in better shape it's not as hard on my body.

I am finding that everything is getting easier and I have a lot more energy as I lose weight and exercise more. Over the holidays, I was often the one to jump up and get things for others, to run out to the car for forgotten items or to walk all over the mall rather than moving the car

It does get better over time even if it seems slow!
Well, it's almost 1 am here so I should try to get some sleep and try to get adjusted back to the time zone here. Have a great weekend Team Donald!
