Team 8 Jessica's Rabbits Bios and Info

Good morning Team! I need to apologize for being an absent, non-posting team member. Life (work in particular) has been crazy busy this week. I'm in the airport right now heading to Boston for the day, and since I have my wireless card, I knew this would be the only chance I'd get to post my miles for the week.

I'm sorry I haven't been able to keep up with the team this week. It looks like everyone is doing pretty well. And welcome, Teri! So glad you could join us.

Ok, even though work's been crazy, I've been able to get in some miles this week. Here are my totals (including today, Friday--I managed to get up at 3:15am to get an hour of biking in, and I will say that this little game was the only thing that motivated me to clip in the biking shoes in the middle of the night :sad2: ):

71 miles
8.5 hours

I didn't get any swimming in, but the good thing is that the extra biking sessions added much more to our miles total than swimming would have. :)

Hope everyone has a good weekend. I will get on here to post and catch up with everyone tomorrow or Sunday. Have a great Friday, team!

Steve

My 8 Day Week:

Miles: 17.64
Hours: 4:41 (4.68)

I had a good week, and managed to run/walk every second day, and walk on the in between days. I'm transitioning to running a full 5 minutes continuously (I'm doing couch to 5K Week 4).

We finished making our DVC reservation for Animal Kingdom Villas in September, so DH and I will be registering for the Expedition Everest Challenge. We're excited about that!

Carol

Hey guys--I know we're not supposed to really "look" at the score on the overall spreadsheet (kind of like when they don't keep score in 5 year old soccer games :) ), but do you realize that we absolutely rock!!! I just checked Donald's Defiant Daschunds or whatever their name is and they're the only team ahead of us in miles and they have way more people reporting their miles already for this week. So.....we're in good shape to win this month on miles. :cool1: Honestly, I know it doesn't matter because we really are all winners, but it's ok to gloat when we stomp the other teams once in awhile, isn't it?? ;)

Good job, team!

Steve

PS--now where are the rest of our totals for this week? I'm going to have to keep refreshing this thread to see when the totals come in so I can manually add them in my head.

Oh, just you wait, Mr. Steve, until I really get to training! I'm just getting warmed up! :rolleyes1

Let the smackdown begin! :lmao:

Hey Bunnies, I'm sending you a new recruit. Please welcome Caitsmama. She wanted to be on a fun team so I thought of you mischevious animals.

Hey SteveOH - If you're going to slander us, at least get the name right: That's Donald's Deficating Daschunds!! Geeze!

(((Stepping in here nervously)))

Hi everyone, I see a couple familiar faces here - (amy & scott), My name is Stacy -- and well, i don't know what to say but i am a complete newbie to this -- so if anyone is at the bottom of the list on this team it will surly be me! LOL

I turned 30 in November, and decided it was time to take more control of my health - I have started the C25K program with the Minnie 5k in May as my first goal.. (hey gotta start somewhere right?) Since i have started training, i have lost about 15lbs, and feel an obvious more endurance.. however, i have slacked lately (i guess to many Disney related vacations) and need to jump back in as the minnie is only 2 mo. away...

I am totally new to the team thing -- so not really sure how/what to report.. but i will give it my best. Since it's yucky snowy here today, i am hoping to jump on the TM later this afternoon -- however, i do a walk/run routine, so how do i count that? Do i go by miles or minutes or what?
(sorry for the dumb newbie questions!!)

Thanks everyone, looking forward to knowing you all!

Your team mates will be along shortly. You know bunnies they have to snuggle before they venture out to face the day.

Thanks for the numbers for March 21-29 that I've received so far. I have put them in the score sheet.

Caitsmama

Welcome. What I need from you is your miles and hours (in decimal form) each week. We are starting a new month, so today, March 1, is the first day of the reporting week.

On or soon after March 7, please send me your total miles for the week, being all miles of CV work (run, walk, bike, swim) and the total hours you worked out (run, walk, bike, swim, lifting, yoga, pilates, spin, whatever). And please tell us your real name, we are definately on a first name basis here.

I will pick up the data and put it in the master excel score sheet.

Take care

Craig

Teri :welcome:
Stacy :welcome:

Well I managed to get in more miles and more time than DH, Mike (Optimator) this week. I don't know how that happened - I don't think it'll happen again anytime soon - he's scheduled to do a 20 mile run this weekend  But I'm very excited that I was able to keep up with him for just one week.

My totals for the week...

30 miles
273 minutes

Good morning, Bunnies, and WELCOME Caitsmama!! :welcome:

It's snowing bigtime here right now which means an outdoor run is out of the question. I will try to get to the gym for some cardio and yoga this morning. I've got a little time before I need to clean off the car and head out.

Steve: sorry you've been traveling but when you were in Boston, you should have called us! Maybe you weren't here long enough but next time, let us know! Last week I had 14ish miles and 3 hours. Hmmm, doesn't seem like a lot does it? I'm pacing myself...

Carol: great week!

How has everyone else been doing this week? Anything fun to report? Time to check out the other threads! Happy training everyone!!!

Hello Team,

Welcome Stacey!

Welcome Caitsmama!!

My numbers for Friday-to-Friday:

41 miles
74 hours, 10 minutes (445 minutes)

:thumbsup2 Best to all on your weekend workouts!!!

Teri

Welcome Stacey!

Boy, am I feeling inadequate. We've got Teri posting 41 miles and Kathy posting 30 miles. I come in with a measly 14 miles! Great for the team, sucks for me.

This morning I bumped up the miles to 4! A whopping 4 miles!! I do have to say that it's a moral victory for me since I had such a hard time on the marathon (although I did finish it which the Doc in the urgent care facility told me was just fine) that to just be running again is close to a miracle. I'm working up to the Minnie which by increasing 1 miles every other week ought to get me there. I'll be happy just to run the whole thing.

Great times and miles everyone! Have a great weekend.

Hi Rabbits!!

Welcome Stacy!! Nice to have you on the team :)

...numbers from Amy and I to follow shortly...that extra day makes for nice padding for the week!!

Hi Stacy!!! Welcome :)

My numbers for the week...

Miles: 61.8
Time: 822 minutes/ 13.7 hours

This was a big week mainly because of the extra day added in there! And I was on the bike trainer twice this week which really bumps the mileage.

Miles included: cycling, running, ski machine
Hours included a bunch of yoga, pilates, spin, running, bike trainer, etc.

Great job everyone! Excellent week of workouts and a strong finish for February! :thumbsup2

Okey dokey cottontails...

My Fri to Fri totals for last week:

Total miles:
74.16
Total hours: 9:02:27 (9.03)

The workouts included running, real cycling, stationary cycling, elliptical, a spin class and some pilates. Something tells me this week won't produce the same numbers, but I do think I'll be running a 10k next Saturday (counts double!!), but that will take away from the regular 20 mile ride that I do...hmmmm...will have to see what I can work out :)

Hope everyone has a great weekend!! Great job to all on a superb training week!

(Steve....did we win???? I think so!!)

Hi bunny folk,

Sorry I have been so absent from the crowd; got some other things (well, LIFE and family) that have required my mental prescence a bit stronger this week :)

ANYWAY, my week's totals thru Friday:
7.32 2:07

This was a cutback week for me, since I had the Sarasota Half-Marathon today (2:21, a nice PR). So I will post that time and mileage for next week's totals :goodvibes

See ya!
Jeff

Thanks for the numbers everyone. I have input everything I've received so far, and we are just below 1400 miles for February. If those of you I've not heard from yet could give me your miles and hours, I'll get them in. I believe WWDave will aggregate and report the February results soon, so please get them to me so they'll appear in Dave's grand totals.

Criag

Okay there I was expecting mega totals this week due to my koala hunting expedition - not realising that was going to be virtually the only exercise I did all week!!! So...

Hours: 4.00 (3.30hrs walking, 30 mins running)
Miles: 15

Now I go on holiday Thursday and I won't have time to post before I leave, but I already know what this week is going to be!!! I've done one hour and I'll get two more short runs in at least.... So, put me down for

2hrs: 11 miles - next week. Helen

Hey team, sorry I'm just now reporting my numbers, I haven't been on a computer all weekend. Numbers are low this week (I just got one bike ride in), I've been having trouble sleeping and this week most likely won't be any better as I got about 4 hours of sleep last night. Anyway my numbers are:

Miles: 6
Hours: 30 minutes

Great jo,b bunnies!

Krista
