Team 8 Jessica's Rabbits Bios and Info

Hello All

I believe we are starting March fresh on Saturday, March 1, so this week runs Saturday 3-1 to Friday (today) 3-7. I know this is confusing, but that's what I'll be looking for an inputing to the score sheet.

Hi Rabbits,

My totals for the week:
hours: 2:40 (2.67)
miles: 10.7

I'm still doing C25K, but I'm in week 5, so now it's getting tough! I'm going from 5 minute runs to one 20 minute run. :scared1: The two 8 minute runs this morning just about killed me, but I made it through. :woohoo: I figured I'll never make it to the marathon if I can't get past this point.

Still having some knee pain, but I think I figured out  that stretching (calf and hamstring especially) is helping.

Hope you all are well and having fun,
Carol

Anyway, here are my numbers for the Sat-Thurs short week:

Total miles: 33.65
Total hours: 5:50:55

Is it bad to quote myself?? :confused3

Updated totals for the Sat-Fri week, thanks to a 5 miles on the elliptical in 30 minutes...plus 30 minutes of pilates ;)

Total miles:
38.65
Total hours: 6:50:55

Hey guys, it's the bad "not having checked in since last week" team member. No good excuse, other than work being totally crazy. I'd like to say it will let up soon, but I bet I've got another 2 or 3 weeks of it. :sad2:

Hope everyone's doing well. We are completely snowed in today, so Krista tells me we may have time to work on our house "to-do list," like painting rooms and cleaning the basement. I can't wait.

My totals for the week are:

57.4 miles
6.5 hours

I really will check in sooner than next weekend, hopefully later today if I can convince Krista this should be a snow day and not a chore day. :)

Great work, team!

Steve

:sad2: Wasn't a great week for me. Between my hip acting up and the weather being HORRIBLE  I really didn't get the miles in at all. Next week *should* be better.

Miles: 17.5

Hours: 620 minutes/10.3 Hours

Thanks for the numbers everyone, I have them in the score sheet up to here.

And remember, "an elephant never forgets." Oops, that's from the Jungle Book. For our purposes remember, "apologies are never necessary." We all go through work, family, and injury issues which impact our training.

Craig

Hi Team,

My numbers for Saturday to Friday are:

25 miles (running)
5:30 hours (running and weights)

Like several of you, I am looking forward to higher mileage this week.

Best to all during this next week of fitness activities... and if you haven't gotten a workout in today, yet, there's still time!

Sunday long-runners: Have a good one!

Teri

I, like Steve, have not checked in in about a week. I'm so very sorry. Work is solid busy for me all the time and I don't have the chance to check in during the day. By the time I get home I'm pooped and don't have much energy for using a computer.

I have, however, been keeping up with training. Last week I ran 9 miles but put in another 9 on bikes or other cardio equipment. Not as much as some of you but still I'm adding to the totals.

Sorry to hear that some are under snow. We caught a break and had just rain. I'm happy about that as you don't have to shovel rain. Remember, though, snow shoveling is considered cardio so be sure to add that to you week's totals!

Happy training everyone.

Hey Rabbits!

I only have one run to report for this past week, my 13.1 miles last Sunday at 2:19. And since that was a race, I do believe that counts double miles, eh? :cool1:

Sorry to hear about weather issues with all of us this week. We've had our own wind gusts over 30mph the last two days, nearly Tropical Storm strength. Pretty freaky. Blew my take-out chimichanga bag all over the place on Friday - I was bummed.

Hello felllow bunnies!

Sorry for the delay in posting last week's miles/min but got back late Sunday night and last night just got away.

So for week ending Friday 3/7:
Miles: 17.15
Min: 198 (3.3 hrs)

Hope everyone is havning a great week and we all finally get a break from this crazy weather!

Hello Fellow Bunnies !
We are back from WDW with our time and distance for last week.
16.55 miles,
182 mins (3 hrs)

Didn't include the time & distance for the Kidney Foundation 5K run, of course, that will be in next weeks.
I did however set a PR for the 5K distance, bettering my last event by 7 minutes !
Turned in an amazing (for me) 30:35 with a 9:51 Pace ! I have NEVER been able to run that much, before!
All praise the Penguin's training schedules!

"Good job" shout to all for last months great numbers !
Lets kick it up and show them just what fuzzy lil bunnies can do.

"That rabbit's Dynamite"!!

Patrick

Hi bunnies, I'm sending you a new player. She is Swim-Mom and she just finished the couch to 5K plan. I thought since you guys were so helpfull and fun you would be perfect for her.

Do not teach her any of your unusual habits either.:wizard:

Hi everyone, my name is Jennifer I am 33 and married for the past 12 years (together 17 yrs) and I have four children (10-4). I am a SAHM, and a full time graduate student getting my masters in counseling (done in May of 09).

I have been running for 2 years, but never good enough to run a full 5K. I started the C25K once again in January and I am happy to say I COMPLETED the whole program :)

I am running now 3 times a week with hopes to do 4 times a week, soon. I am a turtle running, but I keep moving. Right now I do 3.2 in 38 minutes :)

I just got over being sick with the FLU, so yesterday was my first day back running in 2 weeks. Although, my legs are screaming.............I will be back out running tomorrow :)

Can someone please advise what information and when I post it??

Thanks :)

Congratulations Patrick, that's quite a remarkable improvement vs. your previous 5K PR. You should feel pretty good about that.

Thanks for the numbers Liz. Did you participate in the same 5K?

Jeff, what no chimichanga? That's a true crisis.

Swim-mom

Welcome the Rabbits, still in 1st place, I believe. Congratulations on finishing the program, so now get out there and give all that work its reward by entering a race.

I need you to post your miles and hours each week. The current week ends on Friday, March 14, so I need your results for March 8 through March 14. The miles are all types, run, walk, bike, and swim. The hours are all true exercise hours, in decimals, run, walk, bike, swim, lifting, yoga, pilates, rowing, you name it. If its CV work then include it.

I put the results in the score sheet each week.

This week's numbers will be posted late by me, however, as I'm off to London on a completely frivolous weekend with my wife and daughter.

Craig

Welcome Jennifer! This is a great team and we're glad to have you join us!

Craig - yep did the same 5K on Sat which will be in this week's numbers. Sadly I did not do as well as DH - pretty much the exact same pace as always however didn't have to stop due to my shin this time. Cramped a little, changed stride and it worked itself out. Felt like I could keep going just have to pick up the pace.

Have a fantastic time in London! I am so jealous....

Hi everyone, i know i am late on my first weeks numbers.. so sorry!!!! Anyway, my first week was 8.0 miles and 4.0 hours.. :) (Please go easy on the newbie!!) LOL
