We miss you!
Hello, Family!
Julie: is it true you also have a birthday this month? Pray tell, when? I just checked my master list and don't have any info for you. It may be because you joined after that conversation. How ya doing, cousin?![]()
Luckily, I won't have too much time to think about it because my DS turns 7 on June 29th, so I'll be busy planning his day.
for all the LTO. Some of it sounds delightful--the girls being home--but much of it sounds just plain stressful--new clients and CEUs. Good in the long run, but not so much fun right now. (Me, I have no ethics so a course would probably be good for me....
I've felt the same way about the mandatory sexual-harassment courses I've had to take. "Seriously, you need to be told not to do THAT??) I looked at how your WOs have been going and wow, what a great run and in such heat. You really think the E-tab helped, huh?
I can totally see you as the energizer bunny. I think you should wear pink bunny ears in January. I hope you're celebrating your birthday in grand style today and all next week. You deserve it.
for you and your mom, your whole family. How stressful!
And it sounds as if your mom needs to be proactive/conscientious about her health, which adds another layer of pressure on you as the adult caretaker. Good for you, both for being there for your mom and for giving her tough love. I hope you won't need to do that again soon. And I also hope the DN's b-day goes well without any IL drama. I really need a cross-my-fingers smilie for that one.
Are you still in pain, able to manage it, going for different/more tests? You can tell me you don't know or don't want to talk about it, of course, but I just want to know you're okay. (Without you lying to me.) Sending lots of
and PD your way. P.S. Prince cannot be 50. Nope, not with the crush I still have on him. (And I think I wanted to BE him as well as be WITH him. More gender identity issues.
)
Anyway, I hope to be back in the groove by next weekend, in terms of both working out and posting. I miss you guys and can't wait to catch up on all your news!
(Now that I'm old and wrinkly, I guess I'd better take up a more healthy lifestyle -- I guess I'll have to follow the examples of Jeanne, Nancy and the Panda!) Great, now I have to eat better and get faster!
. Sleep well, and know your Dis family
you!
We love you!
How is the unpacking going?
and it was pretty easy, although the hot, sticky weather made for a much slower run. I'm not going to worry about time right now anyway, just building my base.
. The poor little guy was just so sweaty and cranky, I really had no choice, right? Oh well, I'm taking all of them tomorrow afternoon, so the big kids will get plenty of pool time then.

Was much better before this and hasn't recovered since. Will be at PT tomorrow to help. Standing and trying to help at race doesn't help. We had 2 races we RD'd in last 3 weeks. Linda has had to do all the lifting, loading, unloading, cooking at both races.
This is starting to hurt with no income at all and 2 condo payments(that doesn't include payments on all our DVC points). I am looking but no luck either.
Congratulations on losing 5 pounds. And a big hug to you.
But old and wrinkly? You're in your sexual prime, baby? I'm going around calling myself a cougar, looking for some tasty young things to sample. (Does that image disturb anyone the way it disturbs me?
)
I'm with everyone else--it sounds as if you've got so much going on--your job, your mom, your other family members, ILs. Plus all the other stuff you do, good stress: trips away, DD's recital, the Minnie, etc. There's a lot of high-stress situations and relationships in your life right now, and it's no wonder you've been struggling. I'm just so impressed with how you've managed to do so well in spite of all this. Like Maria and Jeanne said, we love you and you just let us know of anything we can do to help you. I've been told I can write a pretty good scorch-and-burn email to people.....
I'm so jealous!! But I'm sure you'll have a great time--and 10 days is nice. Plus, it gives you incentive to take it easy on that knee so you can make the most of your time away. (Anything special planned?) And thanks for the rec on the E-Cap; I'll have to experiment.
We have been crazy busy here. I had to help out my SIL and babysit her kids Friday night...as a result, my own did not get to bed till 10pm
Considering they are 4 and 6, that's WAY late for them. The next day the 6 year old had a party at a friends, followed by my BIL's graduation party. So another late night (I , however, left the party early...by myself...to come home and go for a run!) Sunday, we had two graduations and then my MIL's birthday party. So yet another late night. My kids were sooooo beat. We are just now starting to recover here. Thank God school is out for summer on Friday. We all need a break!Maria: Yay for the homemade smoothie and in bed. It sounds like a great day!But old and wrinkly? You're in your sexual prime, baby? I'm going around calling myself a cougar, looking for some tasty young things to sample. Nancy: It sounds like XT is the way to go, at least for a while. I'm a big believer in doing whatever activity keeps me mentally challenged/engaged and happy. Otherwise I just won't do it, KWIM? ANd it sounds like you've got a nice variety with spin, pump, pilates, etc. that will give you that recharge you're looking for. Probably take your body out of its comfort zone, too, which I think will be good for weight loss--as you mentioned.
Julie: Oh yeah, you can call me Isaac. I'll make a martini tonight, in honor of his coolness. I mentioned it on the weekly thread, but a big woo hoo for your new longest, LR. It's all about building the base and I'm sure doing your runs outside will be good training for FL. And don't you feel guilty about the pool time; as long as you're not sharing your margaritas with the baby, you're earning good mom points.![]()
Christa: What's this you say? You're going on a little trip? To where? Oh, Disney. Is that important?![]()
I'm so jealous!! But I'm sure you'll have a great time--and 10 days is nice. Plus, it gives you incentive to take it easy on that knee so you can make the most of your time away. (Anything special planned?) And thanks for the rec on the E-Cap; I'll have to experiment.
Robert: Ouch, ouch, ouch for the knee. I hope PT gives you some relief and good news. I'm sure the RDing is stressful on your recovery, as well, and so I'm glad you're taking it easy (relative, for you) on that front. I also think your plans for signing up for both the DL 5K and the 1/2 is solid, and will send PD hoping you can do the latter. And PD for Linda on the job front--I know how tough it is. I'm certain that positive thoughts make a difference, and so I'm keeping you both in mine.
As for me: Just trying to get back into the groove. My sleep schedule has been disrupted a bit, although whether it's because of the new place, the cats, the heat, or DOOD's absence, I can't say. It throws my whole day off. I've managed to get back into regular WOs but not at the regular time, and that makes me cranky.
On the upside, I absolutely love the location of our new place. It's only 2 1/5 miles or so from the old, but it's on the "good side" of town. I'm so much closer to everything it's amazing. The only problem living with the upscale folks is that I'm pretty much underdressed for every occasion. I'm pretty much a t-shirt and shorts/capris kind of person, given the opportunity. Not so much here in Squirrel Hill. Lots of women in sultry sundresses, white skirts, and crisp linen suits, even on the weekends when they're getting coffee. Looks like I'll need to step it up. HAH!
