Hello Team......well going by what's been posted recently it looks like most people would like Ohana to stay together. So I guess we're just bound together for life, eh? Works for me! A big thank-you to Debra and Mel for volunteering to be team captains. If we decide to eliminate the game (as most people prefer) the job should be a cinch. All you'll have to do is referee our fisticuffs and censor me when I post something bleepable. (my alltime fave was the time I got censored for typing b-o-o-b-i-e prize!!!!

) I just love you guys and am happy we will continue as a support group. After I go over to the other thread and post the last of the activity, I will come back with a list of all those who have posted regularly. Please let me know if you'd like to continue being on the team. Dave mentioned something about an updated list although I'm not sure what the purpose is if we're not participating in the game. I, for one, am taking a break after the marathon and not planning any more distance events. My goal for the new year is to seriously lose some weight and for me dieting and training just don't go together. I have it in the back of my mind to do the
Disneyland half and go for that Kingdom to Kingdom medal, but first I want to see how the marathon goes for both me and John and then I have to decide if it's feasible to fly all the way out to CA when I've already been to DL several times. There's still plenty of time to decide that though......
Nancy: yay! you're coming to Pop meet.....I was hoping you would. Now you have to do the half....I so want to see you whoop the Greek's butt. This going to be very interesting. Conversation at our house over Christmas:
My DD: Greeky, we need to get you some socks for the Disney race.
Greek: Why? I have plenty of socks.
DD: No, you need special socks when you run an event.
Greek: My socks are just fine.
Just make sure that those of us at the water stop say "Opa!" when he takes his water. I'm pretty sure he'll make it to #1. But #11.....not so much!
JenB: sorry for all you've had to deal with lately. I'm glad your dad is on the mend. I know you're stressed out right now, but once you get the WDW and start meeting up with fellow WISHers, you'll be fine.
I was supposed to do 6 miles this weekend, but it didn't happen. Yesterday morning, the fog was so thick it was way too dangerous to go out. Today we set our alarms so we could do the golf course before the rangers came out, but it was pouring so hard we decided it wasn't worth it for a taper walk. John has new shoes he specifically wants to soften up a bit and there was no way he was going to use them in the rain. If the 6 miler doesn't happen - and I'm thinkibng it won't - we'll try to do a few short 2.5 milers at least twice before we leave. At this point, it probably doesn't make that much difference.
talk to everyone soon.......
