For a school project, I need to give a 20 minute presentation on ESL(English as a second language) /limited english proficiency. What I am looking for is:

social impacts
But most importantly what are some instructional stragegies and accomodations or modifications used to help students. What do you do in your classroom, or have experienced? -- parents, what has helped your kids?
The instructor stated we could go on the internet or do other research and it does not have to be referenced (WOOOHOOO!!!)
so if you have ANY ideas, I would really appreciate them. I have to do this project with another student, and he seemed less than enthused, so I am afraid I will carry the bulk of this project.
