So... It seems to me that I read on these boards somewhere that there is a discount park tickets for teachers at some point? Or am I just imagining that? Like they have an appreciation week? or a discount? Any help would be appreciated. I, myself, am not a teacher but I have a friend who is and is planning a trip to WDW.

I think that the Swolphin offers special teacher discounted room rates.

There used to be "teacher tickets" available, but that ended some time ago. As Cheshire said, the Swan & Dolphin resorts often have teacher rates as specials -- not sure if it's year-round or only during certain times.

SeaWorld still has teacher tickets, I believe, but they might be the only hold-out left.

I know lots of teachers, and they go to WDW, and they have never told me about any discounts...at least not in many years. The S/D do offer room discounts for teachers but that's just the room, not park passes. Sorry.

1) Yes.
2) Swan/Dolphin offer substantial room discounts, as low as $159/night
. . . teachers
. . . nurses/paramedics
. . . police/firemen
3) As for theme park discounts for teachers,
. . . WDW - none
. . . Sea World - Florida teachers
. . . Universal - Florida teachers
. . . Lego Land - Florida teachers (free annual pass)

NOTE: All theme parks offer a discount to active and retired military and DoD.

Tell your friend to check his/her with education association. Here in Wisconsin we have the WEAC Saver's Club. The sell discounted tickets and currently have a 5 day park-hopper pass for the cost of their discounted 4 day pass. It is about the same as a 3 day park-hopper. So you get 2 days free.

I know that IEA (Illinois Education Association) offers discounted WDW tickets. I want to say UT prices are better though.

Universal hasn't done them since 2009. It's sad, cause it was a sweet deal!

SeaWorld offers annual passes for teachers. I believe they call them "study passes", but you need a valid Florida teaching certificate and pay stub.
