Teacher Against Disney!? My Hope Killed!!

Don't you mean orchestra. There are no violins in the band. Even when the wind instruments (trumpet, clarinet, anything you blow into) joins the orchestra, it is still called an orchestra. Sorry just wanted to clear that up.

a wind insturment isn't anything you blow into.
wind insturments are clarient, sax, flute and any variations of those.

brass insturments are trumpet, trombone, euphonium, tuba and the horns.
which you also blow into.

string insturments are piano, violin, guitar, and variations of those. and can be included in a concert band, usually a guitar or piano. violins are not part of a concert band

percussion is drums, bells, and many other insturments which make sound by being hit or hit together.

any combination of these can be an orchestra.

and a jazz band can have any of the above insturments.

Aiigh, that woman is giving all teachers a bad name (and don't we have it bad enough as it is??)! Though I have to admit, my students and colleagues sometimes wonder about me pirate: . Every year in the middle of winter, our school has a day where the teachers are supposed to share a hobby rather than teach that day. Yep - in my class, we get out the laptops and go to Disney sites to plan our own personalized vacations. :teeth:

I hope everyone has at least one WDW-obsessed teacher in their lifetime - and very few (if any) unenthusiastic, mind-killing ones.

No. He (Tyler, The English teacher's son) plays the sax or something, and I play the violin. :goodvibes

That is a Woodwind. My own band director and orchestra teacher calls us (the band as a whole) as winds.

WOAH THATS TOTALLY AWSOME! I have to transfer to your class!

But hold on, she, the teacher, might not have had a fun experience the time she went. Not everyones trips are planned or turn out well. I'm a regular guest of the parks, my now husband bacame as much of a fan as I was 13 years ago. People would ask why we go so much?. We would tell them that it's something you can't explain. Most of them thought when you say DW it means the MK only. They don't know anything other than the park with the castle. My father used to not go on trips. We would take my mom. He finally came and we just got back from his 7th trip since 2003. He goes twice now every year. And loves it. People who say they don't like Disney, probably haven't had a good experience. If they go with the right person, I think their view would change. Obviously we have all had GREAT trips and are lucky to know what Disney really means.
