Does anyone know when and where you sign up for the Tea With Wendy on the 7 Day Western Cruise?

On the Western 7 day that we did this past September we stood in line on Monday morning (around 9:30) to pick up the tickets. We had a choice of Monday or Thursday for our day to attend. They did start a few minutes earlier handing out the tickets and a line started forming around 9:00. Check the navigator on Sunday night for the time and location to pick up tickets (we line up near Studio Sea).

I have gone over my 11/23 Navigators several times and there was no Tea with Wendy that I can find. Perhaps it is not always offered or perhaps on our cruise Wendy succombed to the virus....Just FYI.

On our 7 day there was only one mention in the Navigators about the Tea/Wendy and that was on the morning to get tickets (I think it was Sunday). Had I not already known about it from this board I probably would have missed it. It will not be listed on the days of the Tea so you have to remember.

Yes, I think it only mentions when to get tickets. The tickets tell you when to go. It won't be listed in the Navigators other than the 'pick up tickets' time (I guess because you have to get tickets ahead of time, and they get handed out VERY fast).

If you look at this Navigator on Barb's page, you see it listed on Monday morning as "special pass handout". That is the only mention you will see (and don't be late or they will be out, we were there at 9:10 am and there was already a small line, but we had no probably getting the time we wanted):

we stood inline for tickets for the Tea over 15 minutes. We got to Tea..we sat down..we had iced tea and choc chip cookies. Wendy spoke about 5 minutes..and then it was picture time. That was it. My dd is 3 and I had her dressed as Tinkerbelle...so for me it was a great scrapbook opportunity. But as far as the event itself..it was a little lame. My girlfriend was about 15 minutes late..she made it just in time to stand in line for a photo for her dd -5. So don't stress over it. It is only mentioned the morning the tickets are available, but you can ALWAYS checks with guest services. They are terrific with info like that. Whatever you decide...HAVE FUN!!

Hot4disney- I had the same experience. DD7 at the time really enjoyed it but I was a little disappointed. I think I was expecting more from reading about it on this board. The CM doing the introduction before Wendy came out telling about the history of having tea could hardly be heard and she had a very strong accent so it was hard to understand what we did hear.

It was cute but don't go into it expecting a lot. We were there and out in 20 minutes max- that included getting the picture taken.

You do not need to get dressed up for this either. I threw on a shirt and a pair of shorts over my bathing suit and was not out of place.

Is the tea with Wendy the same as the "High Tea" I thought I read somewhere a while back that you have little finger sandwiches and tea with all the princesses. Is this something different?

No, High Tea is at Palos (for adults only--extra charge, reservations required). Tea with Wendy's is in Studio Sea and it a 'Family' event (free, but you must get tickets when they hand them out).

Does the High Tea have princess characters? I read there are two sittings for this and only about 30 at each. Does anybody else know if this is acurate? I was under the impression this tea was for children and adults, but from the above reply am I correct to say that this is only an adult event? We were taking 6 little girls that would love it.

I have to agree with everyone. We wouldn't have known about Tea with Wendy if I hadn't heard about it here and even then I would have forgotten if I hadn't seen the line forming to get tickets and asked why.

I took my DD7 out of camp and she got dressed as Snow White and was really excited about going but I think she was a bit disappointed. You sit down at a table with oatmeal cookies and a pot of ice tea waiting for you. Wendy picks 2 boys to join her on stage to have tea and read a bit of a story and then it's picture time. It was so incredibly fast. I'm glad that we went but I wouldn't make it a priority getting there if there is something better going on at the same time. You will see Wendy at other times on the ship and there are other opportunities to get pictures with her.

Oh, I thought every thing at Palos had an extra charge! So all you have to do is make reservations? Really? We didn't go (obviously), so I guess I just assumed it cost extra. How do you make reservations for that? We just did the tea with Wendy thing, so I guess I shouldn't have commented on the High Tea because I really didn't know much about it.

It was short and sweet, but an event that we really enjoyed! Very seldom do I have opportunity to take tea with both my east and west coast grandaughters. :) They were adorable dressed in their 'Belle' and 'Cinderella' costumes listening intently to Wendy about the posture, napkin, tiny bites and pinky distention. We did wonder why she picked 2 boys tho? ;)

Michael & John are the 2 boys! (Boys need to be taught manners!)
Our DD loved Tea with Wendy & still reminds us that Wendy would say "How rude!" if we don't mind our manners!

I think you're confusing "High Tea" with "Tea with Wendy". The event that you'd want to take your little girls to is "Tea with Wendy". The only "princess" character there is Wendy Darling from "Peter Pan". But in addition to the short program, there's a very sweet photo opportunity.

High Tea is an adults-only event held in Palo. It's a traditional high tea with tea, finger sandwiches, and pastries.

How do you make reservations for [Palo High Tea]?
Only a very limited number of spots ar available for High Tea (more limited on the Western because it's only offered on two afternoons; it's offered three afternoons on the Eastern). To get a reservation, you must be at the Palo reservations session at least fifteen minutes before they start taking reservations on embarkation day. You can make reservations for High Tea, Dinner, and Brunch at the same time.

Michael and John are Wendy's little brothers in the movie Peter Pan. She calls up two little boys from the audience to represent her teaching her brothers' manners.

I have been to it twice and sometimes if no little boys are there or want to participate she will pick two little girls.
