My DD8 and I really enjoyed the tea. That being said, she was easily 2 years older than every other girl there. Now, that wasn't a big deal to her, but it might be for some. She received a My Disney Doll in the Aurora dress and a little silver bracelet. Here are some pictures of the food we received.

So both my daughters could experience it.

You aren't really paying for the doll. It is like anything else in Disney, you are paying for the experience.

It is worth every penny!!!!!!

Your daughter will absolutely love this event and the look on her face will bring tears to your eyes. Especially if Aurora is her favorite. She isn't my girls favorite and yet we still loved it. My daughter who is 9 has done it both times and still cherishes her dolls.

It is pricey, but I promise you won't regret it!

Dress her in her Aurora dress as most of the girls will be dressed in costume. And make sure to take your Autograph book and pen and camera. You may also find it helpfull to take a bag with you to carry your stuff in afterwards.

And the hightlight of the experience, (besides seeing the look on your little girls face) is the cake they serve!!

Have a wonderful Mommy and Daughter tea.

Would my daughter be able to get just a ham sandwich?
I read someplace different sandwiches the adults get. Are there a few on a plate or do you get to choice? I saw seafood listed and I don't eat seafood.
Thank you all! This sounds amazing!

We were at the grand floridian and we saw this taking place. I was mesmorized and even though I was in the lobby felt like I wanted to sit and watch the entire thing. I got all choked up when Aurora came in. My daughter is only 3 so I want to wait another year or so but it is at the top of our list to do for sure !

We did this for DD's 5th bday in January 2007. Here is an excerpt from my trip report.

DD is allergic to peanuts, so we had a special sandwich (and piece of cake) made for her. I'm sure they can accomodate special requests.

BTW, the doll you receive is NOT an American Girl doll, though she is the same size. (I believe she is a My Disney Girl doll.) While she is quite lovely, she is nowhere near the quality of a real AG doll. I just wanted to make sure that no one was disappointed by this.

The Perfectly Princess Tea Party at the Grand Floridian was just adorable. There were only about 20 girls there, mostly with their moms, all decked out in their Princess finery. Each girl was announced before entering the tea. She was given a tiara and showered with rose petals by our hostess, Rose Petal. When they got to their seats, there was a My Disney Girl doll (similar to American Girl) dressed as Sleeping Beauty awaiting each little girl. They were all so excited! Then, when they opened up their napkins, each girl found a charm bracelet. “Ooooooh!” They were given “magic tea” (apple juice) and the moms got real tea. Julia insisted on adding several lumps of sugar to hers! She had such fun having a real life tea party. The girls had little finger sandwiches cut in the shape of hearts and fruit to eat. (Most of the girls received PBJs, but we pre-ordered a jam only plate, as Julia is allegic to peanuts.) Rose Petal told them the story of Sleeping Beauty, and they all sang some songs. Then, all the girls gathered in the center, and Aurora finally made her appearance. She was gorgeous, and the girls were all so happy! They all danced with her, and then she came by each table to talk with the girls individually while we had some cake. We were also given some scrapbooking materials to take home with us. Now, this tea was RIDICULOUSLY expensive, but Julia had the time of her life, and it was so sweet to see how truly excited she was. And it was her birthday, after all… ;)
