tea party disney girl doll

i am going with my 5 yr old to the tea party at the grand floridian. you get a my disney girl 18 inch doll dressed like aurora. my question is kinda silly. do they all have the same hair color? is this doll sold at the park? is it the same one on the disney store site for $50. are the dolls worth the money or are junk?

my dilemna is that my 2 yr old will not be coming to the tea party but will be quite upset when her sister exits with the doll. im not sure whether to purchase on there for her, or get her something else. she is going to be quite upset not getting to go with us, so i want to make sure to have something for her, but dont know if it should be the my disney girl doll. i just dont want her to feel left out. any she is very aware so i cant "fool" her too much with things like this. any thoughts, thanks

I am not fond of the quality of the My Disney Girl dolls. They do have different hair color. You can buy them at many shops in Disney. (If you wanted to save some money you can by a very similar quality doll at Target for about 20.00)

The only place to get the doll dressed in the Sleeping beauty dress is at The Tea. You can buy other princess dresses online and at WDW shops.

We bought dd a My Disney Girl doll at Magic Kingdom (but they are sold at every park I believe) a few years back, and it is junk!!! We still have it because I just can't throw it away after spending $50 on it, but it didn't hold up well at all. The hair is very cheap, and so is the doll and acc's. The Mickey ears are made of a cheap plastic and ripped off in minutes, and the stickers came off right away on the autograph book and hat as well. my dd is not rough with dolls either. She treats her things with respect, none of her other dolls look as bad as this one!!! I was really disapointed when we got home and opened up the box and saw how cheap it was. I would suggest just getting an American Girl doll and buying disney clothes for it online. You will be much happier with it!!

I am so glad I found this out about that doll. We leave in 2 weeks and my dd has been talking about this doll for weeks now. I was just going to get it for her, but not now. She has a BFC doll and I think I will just get the Disney outfits for it. I hope they fit .

What is a BFC doll?

If you look at the Disneystore online you can see the Princess outfits they sell. They fit 18 inch dolls.

I googled Best friend Dolls. They look thin like a Barbie?. I don't think the Disney dresses will fit since they fit the "chubbier" dolls like American Girl and the Battat dolls sold at Target.

We have the doll from the tea party. It is not American Girl doll quality, but has held up very well. DD has used her outfits with AG dolls even though I think the Disney doll is a little smaller? She just sold a bunch of her AG dolls, but this Disney one didn't sell. Pm me if you are interested, I just want to get rid of it. DD liked it because it had different princess outfits with it, but you can just buy the outfits at WDW and buy a different doll also.

My DD has a my disney girl doll and after 3 years of playing with it still looks great. For us it was worth the money.

My DD has had her Disney girl doll since she was 3. She's 6 1/2 now. It's still like new and she plays with it ALOT! We saw it in a store on one of our WDW trips and she loved it but I told her we couldn't afford it. After we were home for a few weeks she got mail from "Mickey" and it was her Disney Girl doll She still tells everyone that Mickey sent it to her.

She desperately wants an AG doll, has since she was very little, so I told her this was her "practice AG" doll. She has taken very good care of it, kept her clothes in a special bag, she sleeps in her own bed in DDs room. DD has proven she's capable of taking care of an AG and will get to go pick one out for her 7th birthday in September.
