Does anyone have pics of this?
also do you think it would be ok for a DS8 - I really want to go but . . . ?

THANKS

Ohhhh, I want to see pics too if anyone has any. Is there a dress code like you must wear white gloves and a big flowery hat??? :lmao:

Okay I thought my white gloves and flowery hat comments were funny......apparently I'm the only one that did!!! :rotfl2:

Bump!!!!

I have pics, but don't know how to post them. But, there are pictures on the giant food/picture thread.

I went in December and it was wonderful. Can't wait until DD is old enough to go back.

You don't have to wear white gloves and hats, but when we went, I was wearing jean capris and others were much dressier - dresses, heels, etc. Not everyone, but some. So, I think you can dress as much as you want.

Enjoy!

I did not take pics of the tearoom itself but it's quite small and in the same decor as the GF Lobby for the most part - it has huge windows that open into the GF grounds. I guess a pool is nearby because we saw lots of families in swimwear heading to the pool when we were there =) It's a beautiful sunny room.

It was not fancy in regards to dress; most were in shorts or casual pants when we went. I think an 8 year old would have a great time! There were lots of men and boys there. There is even a menu item aimed just for children. I think he'd had a nice time!

You can make it last as long as you want, really. Here are some pics from our trip - my mom and I went and we're returning in Oct and I am taking my MIL and my Mom again.

We took our 3 kids, ds 12, ds 9 and dd2. They loved it. Our server was just great with them; took time to explain to them all about tea, gave them different choices of sandwiches and desserts, etc. The boys couldn't decide whether to get the Mrs. Potts tea or an adult selection, because they wanted real tea, not chocolate milk. So she sort of custom made theirs. She thought they may not enjoy the smoked salmon, cucumber and other types of sandwiches and asked if they would prefer egg, chicken salad, or cheese. IT was very nice. We got the Buckingham Palace tea if I remember correctly, and it came with 3 or 4 varieities of sandwiches, scones with cream, some little pastry things, and choice of dessert - we had strawberries & cream - yum!

The boys wore polo type shirts and khaki shorts and dd wore her princess dress, though a regular sundress would have been just fine. I wore a skort. No fancy gloves or hat lol. We were surprised that the boys both said next time we go to WDW they want to go to tea, not once but twice!

This looks wonderful, I think I am going to make a ADR for my my daughter and I on our trip. I think she would enjoy it.

We are trying this for the first time in November, and I'll be taking my niece and nephew, ages 5 and 7 with me. They have a special tea for children, so I am sure your son will be fine there.
