Can anyone make any recommendations? I have only done the Grand Tea, but hated the sparkling champagne-wonder if I could sub for a different alcoholic drink? And can anyone describe the Sally Lunn tea service...

Love that English Trifle:goodvibes

I don't have any suggestions on what to order, our first time will be on Sunday. From what I understand the Sally Lunn service is no longer available.

Have you tried the Garden Tea Lounge? I took my great niece there 2 years ago and we had a marvelous time:) Much to choose from for both of us:) I couldn't find fault with one thing and I will take my little 5 year granddaughter next August for our experience as she LOVES tea and fancy things:) Good luck for whatever you can find out:)

I don't know about another alcoholic drink, but I do know that you can sub a sparking cider. I recommend the sherry trifle.

I go Buckingham all the way. Tea, scones, sandwiches, jam tart, and dessert or strawberries & cream. YUMMMMMMMM!!!

EXCELLENT!

Aren't we talking about the same place? The pretty little tea room off the Grand Floridian lobby?

Went in May with one of the breast cancer thread gals. We both had the Buckingham. We were able to sub the trifle for the strawberries and cream.

We had the Mad Hatter tea blend and loved it.

Our server was Patricia and she was fantastic.

I can't wait to try afternoon tea in September! I think we'll just order a la carte to save a little $$$ though.

Depending on what you order, you probably won't save any money ordering a la carte as opposed to a set menu. I would definitely do some quick number crunching to make sure you are getting the best deal.

The Mad Hatter is sooo good!

Ah, you are right- I looked at the Allears menu and it is gone...now they have a Princess Kate service? Following the times, I suppose. I had always wondered what the Sally Lunn bread tastes like- anyone have a description?

I have reservations for tea next Thursday for my birthday. This is one of my favorite things to do at Disney. :cutie:

We absolutely love afternoon tea at the Garden View Cafe! We get the whole nine yards and LOVE IT. Looking forward to taking my two adult DDs next month. :goodvibes
