I have a couple of questions about this Tea.

Is it on the DDP and is it worth it?

Need some reviews and pic's if possible.

We are having a girls only week in October, and I thought this might be fun girly thing. pixiedust:princess:

Thanks

no it is not on the ddp but you do need to make reservations. i have never been but i am going on my trip in june. im taking my niece and leaving the dh at the resort. figured like you said it would be a nice girls afternoon out plus we are taking her for her high school graduation. ill post pics though and let you know how it was. check my trip report when i get back!

Will you please pm me with your TR when you return? Would love to hear about/ see pics of the Tea as well. Hope it's wonderful for you!

Here's my review of it. Just scroll down a bit to see the review. It is post #20:

I think, it would be perfect for all adult girls. I didn't think it was a enough food for my kids on the kid menu. The kids are not offered a scone and the tartlet which I think is best part of the whole tea thing whether you are an adult or not. So, it wasn't enough food for us because I had to share with my kids. If they had given my kids more food it would have been alot nicer...

I have eaten at the tea a few times and I think it is worth it. We are going again in December. I took my daughter last time and it was a nice mom and daughter thing to do. The food was really good, the trifle was TDF!

Sounds good. The only question is, how to squeeze it in between meals?:rotfl:

dh and i went in Oct 2007 and it is part of the dining report in my signature.

we loved it and are doing it again on our next trip. It is not part of the DDP.

I highly suggest it. Tons of fun!

I went with my mother and husband. My mother got the Grand Tea and my husband and I each got the Buckingham Palace Tea (I also indulged in a Brandy Alexander.) My husband initially resisted accompanying us, but he likes good tea and wound up being glad he came. We each received a pot of tea (my mother also got a glass of sparkling wine included in the Grand Tea), a plate of little sandwiches, a scone with Devonshire cream, a tart and then could choose from strawberries and cream, trifle, or a pastry. My mother got the trifle; it was rich and delicious (I chose the strawberries and cream because I was feeling full and wanted something lighter). It was a lovely, relaxing experience and we all very much enjoyed it. It's well worth doing, even though it's not on the dining plan. You do need to reserve in advance; I saw people unsuccessfully trying to get a table without reservations.

Garden View Tea is always worth it. :lovestruc Even DH enjoys eating there. Not as girly girly as one might imagine. One time when DH and I were there the place was nearly all men. I think anyone who is a tea lover would enjoy it. And they have good food.
Their hours are 2 - 6 pm. A few times we have even made that our dinner and walked away filled. ADRs are highly suggested.
My usual is the Buckingham Palace.
