I went with my mother and husband. My mother got the Grand Tea and my husband and I each got the Buckingham Palace Tea (I also indulged in a Brandy Alexander.) My husband initially resisted accompanying us, but he likes good tea and wound up being glad he came. We each received a pot of tea (my mother also got a glass of sparkling wine included in the Grand Tea), a plate of little sandwiches, a scone with Devonshire cream, a tart and then could choose from strawberries and cream, trifle, or a pastry. My mother got the trifle; it was rich and delicious (I chose the strawberries and cream because I was feeling full and wanted something lighter). It was a lovely, relaxing experience and we all very much enjoyed it. It's well worth doing, even though it's not on the dining plan. You do need to reserve in advance; I saw people unsuccessfully trying to get a table without reservations.
