TDS & Nemo Tix - What A Hassle!

I TRIED to purchase my PH yesterday at TDS and the comptuers were down. I saw the sign and never even thought I would get the free tickets to Nemo because I figured it would have to be a "merchandise purchase" and park tickets are not considered *merchandise*. I figured PHs, GCs and Dis $s are always excluded.

I bought my PH today and did NOT get free tickets, nor will I go back and ask for them.

Since you mention that you know about Donald Dollars, etc. then you know how the promotions usually work

I know about Donald Dollars from reading these boards. Someone printed out the exclusions. So, no ... I do not know how the promotions work b/c the only other promotions I've ever dealt with at TDS are the free lithographs w/the purchase of upcoming release Disney video/DVD's.

Am I supposed to know that PH's are excluded on everything? If so, then post it on all your ads and store signage! This is my first time purchasing PH's at TDS. I have always purchased them through my travel agent. I read the sign ... it did not list any exclusions. Promotions can change ... and often times, they do. How am I supposed to know that PH's aren't included in the Nemo promotion if they're not listed as an exclusion?

BTW -- the three children and Mom who received the tickets to enjoyed the film. They are an underpriveledged family at our local boys & girls club, where I volunteer. Thankfully, one of the other volunteers drove them both ways. So very, very selfish of me wanting tickets to help out kids who would otherwise not see this movie! Thanks to those of you who made me feel awful for wanting tickets for someone other than myself.

I wouldnt feel bad at all. I am one of those who is a stickler on stores having their signs and ads correct. Once they realize the sign is in error they should fix it and that is that.

I must admit at first I thought it was a bit much to go to the second stor and ask for more tickets, but how nice of you to give them your tickets. I sue hope they enjoyed the show!!!!

Maybe TDS should just stop giving away freebies. Then you'd have nothing to complain about...of course some people would then complain that they didn't get anything for free...

Just for future reference, all of TDS promotions are always on "store merchandise" only. Park tickets are not store merchandise. The stores only sell them as a courtesy to WDW.

This is my 3rd and last post to this thread. I have asked twice before that people refrain from sarcasm and argumentive or personal attacks. Since it seems as if people cannot do as asked, this thread will be closed.

A simple caveat in a small 9 point font stating "Please see cast member for promotion details" would have solved everything.

In my book, if you can buy it at the store it is merchandise. I have no way of knowing how TDS's accounting system works, nor should I be expected to. Therefore it is incumbant on the store to cover their butts. If they store manager feels they're getting screwed on the daily receipts, then they should talk to their higher ups. Don't blame the guest, that will only loose you customers in the short and long run.

Btw, this should go for all stores and promotions. The reason it's so outragous here, is that this is Disney and they used to be known as the leader in Customer Service. To have fallen so far, so fast, well it's inexcusible.
