Go for it! I've done it twice and enjoyed it immensely each time.
Although you can have it served anywhere in the restaurant, I advise eating at the food bar. That way you get to chat with the chef and with fellow foodies on either side.
It's impossible to predict what you'll have because the menu changes daily. The chef du jour designs the menu, so I think you are getting an extra special effort, since this is a chance for these guys to shine after turning out dishes they, themselves, did not create.
