We got home today from 3 nites at the Fort. As TCD experienced the previous weekend, the Fort was empty. However, that's pretty normal for this time of year until the end of October.
TCD posed a question on another thread regarding tetherball locations and (I'm so ashamed to say this) I said I thought there was a tetherball on the playground at 1200/1300. Well....I was wrong. There is no tetherball at this site. I'll pay you your winnings in October, TCD.
The high point of my weekend was running into our very own Carol!!! She & her DH were back staying at one of the All-Star Resorts and decided to snoop around the Fort! She proudly showed me some pics of her finally completed remodeling of the house. It looks good!!
It was extremely hot & humid, so we basically hung around the Fort all weekend. Went to Epcot Friday nite, but between the heat, humidity, and absolutely no breeze, we packed it in early & went back to the Fort.
I did get them to reduce my site cost from $69.75/nite (tx incl) to $52.00/nite (tx incl). We were supposed to have been in full hook-up, and they assigned us to site 319. I know they thought they were doing us a favor, but I prefer the sites in the 1600-1900 loops to the sites in 300. 300 is such a tight loop.
All in all it was a nice get-away, and since TCD recently posted such terrific pictures, I didn't take any!
