Just booked a flydrive package with them for our family vacation. I just wanted a cheap flight as I am using my timeshare when in Florida.

Price was very good, £1510 including full size car, full car insurance (inc CDW/LDW) for two adults and our two children. Flying in Sept.

Anyone experienced flying with them?:confused3

Is just 1 thread recently. If you click the search tab and enter TCD it comes up with more.

They were OK for us nothing special but they got us to Florida and back no problems. Personally dont care what the flight is like as long as its cheap. We could afford Upper class Virgin or BA once a year but prefer to find cheap flights and go 3 or 4 times a year. Just recently Virgin frequent flyers points have been giving us best prices like Easter school hols £291.

Perhaps its time for a set of "sticky's";- Flying with Virgin, Flying with TCD, Flying with (others) ?

I flew with them last year for the first time (I usually fly Virgin) it was a good service in premium, the plane was a little tatty but was over £1000 cheaper than Virgin so I could live with it, most of all, we got in on time and left on time!
after all, its only the flight, the best part of the holiday is when you're there!

I'm keeping my eye on this tread,;)
As we have always flown with Virgin and have said that we would never go with anyone else, we have notice that there has been some good feed back regarding TCD, and are now are thinking of giving them a chance.
We are waiting for the prices to come out for Dec 2008, and will give both companys a good to compare pricing. ::yes::

We used to fly with Virgin, but two years ago we tried TCD - Sunshine First fly-drive, which was cheaper than Virgin PE. In September this year we'll be going with TCD for the third year running :cool1: . I can't comment on Economy, but SF is fantastic - so much space and the food has been the best we've eaten on any flights. We've had small delays on each of the flights, up to an hour, but we've always landed more or less on time. I still prefer Orlando International Airport, but I'll put up with Sanford - you will notice the extra time it takes to drive to WDW from Sanford when you arrive . If they could speed up the queue at Dollar car hire it would also help. At the moment I can't see us going back to Virgin unless they drop the prices. I'd book the Palm Lounge at Sanford for the return journey, it is a better environment to wait for the return flight in - there's Internet access, free snacks and soft drinks and films being shown.

I'm going to book TCD Sunshine First for next May as soon as the pricing becomes available - the deals seem too good to miss...:thumbsup2

We thought we'd try them for the first time, last year!
Will not fly with them again.... see thread!

In the height of the season, they just don't have the back up of other airlines.
If you book Sunshine First with them ( to get the equivalent of a virgin flight), you run the risk of being delayed, (we were delayed over 24 hours) and even transferred to another plane, where you have to sit with economy in cramped conditions.
I would rather spend slightly more, and go with an airline that has more back up should things go wrong.
Saying all that, I know that many people have not had any problems - maybe we were just unlucky?! I'm not prepared to take that risk again.
24 hours out of my hard earned holiday is a big deal to me!

We flew TCD in August and are going back with them next August.:)

We were very happy with them ..no seat back tv's but as long as we get there safely and on time;) ...Iam happy..and they delivered on both of those.

We're going British Airways this year for the first time. (Always went KLM or Air France before).

Very reasonable and just the one change at Gatwick on way out. Then straight to Orlando International. It's better than the long drive from Sanford when you get there and are tired.

Anyone ever been with B.A. before? What are they like?

we flew TCD for the first time last August - before we had always flown Virgin, we treated ourselves to Sunshine First and it was brilliant, we were out in Orlando at the time when the extra security was put in place and they were so helpful and gave us up to date information about what we could take on board etc., we did over hear a Virgin rep giving out totally the wrong information (DH works for BAA at Heathrow and is a security officer, so had contacted work to find out exactly what was and was not allowed and the information we were given was exactly that, that he had been told). We had no delays and the attendants and the food were amazing. a thumbs up from us and we would definatly use them again, we are trying flyglobespan this year as DS has a Gala in Sheffield so thought we would spend a few days in Glasgow and fly from there

we went with them for the first time in december (,have always gone virgin) and was very pleased with tcd we had no delays and everything went very smoothly from getting the car to checking in at the hotel and we saved over a £1000 compared to virgin (2ad 3teens) so i have no problem in recomending tcd hope this helps:thumbsup2

we have been with them 5 times now, and have a trip booked in jan 08 going sunshine first for our disney wedding, we had a problem with the villa last year but it was sorted well
