please help me!! :earseek: we have booked sunshine first cabin on TCD for next june-to the tune of £360 extra. However,my dad has just returned from Florida having travelled in sunshine premium upper deck,in what sound like similar seats to sf,but for much less dosh.Does anyone have any views on sunshine upper deck?I am considering trying to swop.

As far as i know you get more seat pitch and extra baggage allowance in sf than the other's and i think you get seat back tv's though i'm not sure abou this one.

I think they are only the major difference's between them.I'm not sure if they have changed it but no children under 9 were allowed in one of them but you will have to check the website for that. When i looked last time they all had no under 6's.

we too have booked sf first for travel in oct2005.vicki is right about the difference.my hubby is 6ft 2 and the seat pitch does make a huge difference as well.we dont have anything against children and do not have any oureselves.this cabin does not allow under 9s so should be much more quieter. An extra not mentioned is u leave the aircraft quicker and youre bags are first off at the carousel meaning you should in theory beat the ques.we did at first book upper deck but a friend of oures told us if you can afford it go sf.

we will let u know on oure return if its worth the extra£

It look's like tcd have changed the age's they allow children in...

SF is now no children under 3
SP no children under 6.
SUNSHIRE UPPER DECK - No children under 6

We also have booked sunshine first and travel out in just under 6 weeks so will let you know when we return. . . .

My understanding is that sunshine first has 50" seat pitch, 40kg luggage allowance and seat back TV where as sunshine premium has 38" seat pitch, 30 kg luggage allowance but no seat back TV. There also appears to be a sunshine upper deck with 34" seat pitch and with the same other conditions as premium. According to the blurb sent by TCD there are no children under 9 allowed in premium and upper deck and no children under 3 in sunshine first. The difference seems to be about £100 between first and premium but I suppose that depends on the time of year as TCD advertise their prices "from only. . . "

Would be really interested to hear anyone elses views on whether it's worth the extra to go sunshine first rather than premium or upper deck.

hiya

we have booked sunshine premium seats for decembe and have doubeled our luggage as well for a total cost of £174 each (40kg each weight limit) we were not prepared to pay an extra £116 each just for 2 inches of recline and a seat back tv

i have decided to change from SF to premium. My 19 stone dad said he was extremely comfortable in premium(sorry for revealing your weight dad!!).Ihave also paid £15 to double the baggage allowance.By doing this i have saved £130-more spending money.
I don't think seat back tv's are worth the extra money and mum and i are not tall so the seat pitch won't affect us too much.Apparently you still get priority boarding and luggage collection .Would like to hear from any premium travellers in next few weeks to see what they think. :goodvibes

:thewave: :thewave: :earseek: i am confused you booked premium seats and double baggage thats 60kg each - are you planning to buy the whole of orlando lol

:earsgirl: :earsboy: :thewave: :thewave:

hi

the double luggage only takes you up to 40kg on tcd (even though it says double) it is just double of what standed allowance is

i doubled the baggage cos you only get 30kg with upper deck, from past exprience the extra 10 made all the differnce!!

i wasnt knocking what u said i was answering the person above, i also have double baggage on my trip

WE HAVE STAYED AS SF BECAUSE THERE IS ONLY THE TWO OF US AND DH IS GETTING OVER A STROKE SO WELL TAKE AS MUCH COMFORT AS WE CAN.

BUT FROM WHAT WE HAVE READ AND TRAVELLED ON TCD/AIR ATLANTA BEFORE THATS THE BEAUTY OF TCD.THE WHOLE CHOICE OF FLIGHT UPGRADES FOR ALL POCKETS.CHEAP N CHEERFUL OF THE BEST THEY CAN OFFER AT A SENSIBLE PRICE.

DH and I love Sunshine Upper - its the thought of sharing the toilet between so many downstairs and so few upstairs that decides it for us... :teeth:

although if i could only persuade him that I could spend less money when we get to disney i am sure we would be going SF :rolleyes1

Hey Nick n Sara!!
I wish i was going in october, have to wait until next june. All the planning is half the fun of it don't you think?
Hope you have a great time

We have changed our holiday dates so that we can fly sunshine first, the reason..

a friend just came back from sunshine premium and said it was a bit better than standard but not much and that she would advise upgrading, I didnt want to take the risk of being disapointed so changed the flights and the seats

We are considering Sunshine first for next august - just been quoted over £2000 cheaper than Virgin for exactly the same flydrive - except virgin is only Premium economy

Hi nicknsara :goodvibes

we have changed to sunshine premium,we did sf last year but it was about £100 cheaper then!Have heard that sp is as good as sf so that'll do for me!!

we are staying at la quinta inn lakeside on the 192,we booked the whole thing with tcd and i have never had any probs with them so will continue to do so for years to come!

So where are you staying?would love to have stayed in disney but would rather have the extra spends for holiday trinkets :teeth:
