... never had any idea the influence one of your TRs could have on people you've never even met! After reading your recent TR regarding your one night stay during the triathlon, and the encouragement it included on giving it a try, I decided to do it. I've now gone from a just a runner to a former-runner-turned-wanna-be-triathlete. I'm swimming (very poorly so far, but haven't drowned yet!) and spinning and having a great time. I'm very excited about my first triathlon on Sept. 6, right during our next trip!

So, thanks for the life-changing trip report! Just thought I ought to let you know.

Too funny! What race are you going to be doing? You should come to FW over Labor Day and do that one.

I for sure won't be ready by labor day, I have a looooong way to go, but maybe the Danskin next year, 2010. I'm a little freaked about swimming with gators and brain eating bacteria, but if the Fort lets us do it, it must be ok, right? right?

Gotta be right. Mickey wouldn't let us be eaten by either gators or bacteria. Gotta be right.

Let me know if you change your mind about the Labor Day race - I'd love to have someone I know down there, even if it's just a virtual knowing!

good luck. I've thought about doing the Mullet Man Tri at the Flora-Bama but it's never gone past "thinkging" (it's in April every year).
