taxi's @ kissimmee train station

Next month I will be taking the train to kissimmee staion for 2 fun filled weeks at Disney My longest ever trip

this is also my first train ride.. the train will arrive in the afternoon and I was wondering if there were taxi's there already or do I have to call for one b4? Also. about how much is it from there to POP?

Yes, taxi's are usually available when the train comes in, ubt if not....station master will call one for you.....

Cab fare 4-5 years ago ran about 40 bucks to WDW plus tip but fares have gone up.....we use a car service....a little more than double cab ride plus we get the 30 minute grocery stop in route (which is a God's send for us)....alot of companies out there and usually runs 90-120.00 round trip......

We take the train all the time...few tips...

Take a blanket with you, gets alittle chilly with the A/C....even a pillow if you want (they give out real small pillows....

Pack a small cooler...sandwiches and drinks and snacks...though train food is quite decent, it's pricey...real easy to just eat in your coach seat...tray pulls down from front seat back....

For a one nighter, sleeper is not necessary (quite pricey to nuts) but you can always ask on board if any are available, and they give you a discounted price over prebooking....we most always just go coach, seats recline way back, leg and foot rest, quite doable for one night....saves a few bucks over a sleeper....

With 2 weeks in Disney, I'd sure do a car service with the grocery stop to stock up my room on drinks and sandwich and snacks or at least a delivery service.....mods and deluxes all have free fridges....better to not waste....figure a cab both ways and a delivery fee for food....about the same for a car service and free grocery stop......
