We have decided to go to Atlantis on our own, so we'll need a taxi at the dock. Last time we walked through the first building and into town, and I don't remember seeing taxis anywhere.

Where do you catch one at shipside? Anything special to know? Can we put a foldup wheelchair in the trunk? I assume they take US money?

When you go in the building at Nassau they have several people asking you where you want to go. They will show you were to wait and will see if anyone else is going to Atlantis too. They like to fill a van first. We waited with another couple maybe 5 minutes and were on our way. I would think a wheelchair should be no problem to put in the back. Yes, they take US money. I think it was $4.00 PP each way. They will also ask for $1.00 for the toll bridge. That is for the whole van not per person. When you are ready to leave Atlantis there is a taxi stand up front waiting to take you where you want to go. It is very easy to get to Atlantis and back. We have done this 3 times on our own and even rented a day room once so we could use the pools and slides.
