Taxis From Mco

I tried to respond to a thread that was probably deleted.

Do the taxis from MCO charge a flat fee to the resorts or is the ride metered? If a customer wants to make a stop how much is done as a courtesy (TIP)? How much would you pay? In NYC cabs charge by the minute for waiting time.

The same is true here. Cabs are metered, and wait time is 25 cents per 40 seconds. However, cabs can charge flat rates if the driver desires. I urge you to find a cab driver thru a cabbie website and see if you can't save money that way. You will most certainly find a cab to be $10-$20 less than certain sponsors of this board.

At those prices a 30 minute grocery stop will cost exactly $10. Probably more since the cab will also be charging me for the extra time and mileage to get the store. Further a driver won't be waiting to help me with my luggage at baggage claim.

I guess I'll stick with car rental or limo.
