Taxis & Car Seats

We are going to be there in less than 2 weeks!

And we are not planning to bring a car seat, but might be taking a few taxis during the week.

Are car seats required in taxis? Or do you request a car seat when you call for a taxi?

Any tips or info would be awesome.

Florida law does not have an exemption for taxis, so if a child needs one in a private car, then one is also required in a taxi. And FL law requires all children under 4 to be in a child restraint seat.

Yes, taxis with car seats are available, but you will have to call and make a specific request for one. There is no guarantee the seat will be properly installed or even in good working order.
